CPTR XIV: Another Kind of Pleasure
Mona held her breath as she finally stepped onto the bus. The cold air from the AC hit his face and he walked on and took an empty seat near the door. Mona glanced here and there in amazement at the dense crowd of people filling the bus.
People in work clothes, truant High School kids, and many more criteria Mona rarely notices all combine into one. Not long after, Devin appears and takes his place next to Mona.
Devin smiled looking at Mona's confused face like a child then said, “When did you last take the bus?”
“Entah, maybe SMP time. Me and my cousin Sherly love sneaking out and going around. That time if it was not wrong we did not have enough money to go home by taxi so we decided to take the bus.”
Devin could hear it.
Mona turned to look at Devin and asked, “You've already checked her destination, ‘right?”
“We only need to go north right?”
“Still, but there are many routes.”
“Ah, I'll swipe.”
Devin stared at the map of the bus route attached above the entrance. But suddenly a middle-aged woman who was holding her young child and she cried. Seeing this Devin hurriedly got up from his chair and gave it to the woman.
The woman smiled and nodded then uttered, “Still.”
Devin smiled back. Devin was right in front of him and Mona kept watching him. This young man is so friendly and kind to the people around him. Being friendly with anyone anywhere and it makes Mona feel comfortable around her.

The two finally arrived at the final route and got off the bus. They finally arrived at the amusement park after nearly an hour on the bus. The two got off and went straight to the lobby to buy a ticket.
Not many people were waiting in line at the time because it was not an ideal day to go to the playground. After buying the ticket and entering into both of them immediately welcomed the theme song of the playground. The song brings its own memories to Mona. She remembers coming here as a child with Sherly, her sister, and her parents.
“So want to directly ride the roller coaster?”
Mona smiled mockingly, “Of course, I can't wait to see your frightened face.”
The two went to the roller coaster queue and then queued for a moment and finally climbed onto the roller coaster. Mona kept smiling with courage. Meanwhile Devin remained calm. Their journey begins with an uphill roller coaster. Mona still smiled confidently.
After a few seconds of her hair standing up, this roller coaster climbed higher than her memory. Mona made the mistake of looking down and realized how high they were. Mona's thoughts about falling or the system's fault that could kill her make Mona unable to calm down.
“Fear?” devin asked with a mocking smile.
Mona glanced at Devin not accepting but just then finally the roller coaster slid down at a regular pace. Mona could quickly feel her consciousness being sucked away by the pace of the roller coaster.
After a few twists and turns the roller coaster finally returns. It was only after the roller coaster completely stopped that Mona regained her consciousness. He came down with a heavy body staggering.
Devin helps her walk, both of them past the big screen showing their photos just now. Mona saw clearly her eyes bulged wide to the point of going out while Devin just smiled enjoy.
Mona turned to Devin and looked at him sharply, “Say you're afraid of heights?”
“I am really scared. Here's the proof.” Devin pointed at the screen which showed his face forcing a smile.
Mona frowned, “You smile is so scared.”
“Iya, I if frightened smile so.”
“Ah is not fair. Let's try something else!”
Devin followed Mona who was walking quickly in front of him. Still determined to see Devin's frightened face, Mona chooses more terrifying rides that can knock anyone unconscious in an instant.
In each vehicle selected Mona little by little began to tired himself. His heart pounded every time the vehicle he was riding swooped down at incredible speed.
Over time, he got used to it. When the day finally began the afternoon the two rested on an amusement park bench while buying ice cream. Mona leaned her back and then said, “I didn't expect this.”
Devin smiled, “Thank God you enjoyed it.”
“Haha thanks yes. I really need excitement like gini.”
“Why is that?”
Mona devoured the top of her ice cream and said, “Last time.”
“They came and messed up the future.”
Hearing that Devin smiled then said, “You can tell me if you want.”
Mona quickly looked towards Devin. He knew Devin was a good person, yet revealing such a matter to him felt too soon. He still can't say anything about Ethan and what happened that night.
“I'll tell you one day.”
“Then I will wait.”
Mona nodded, “How about you? Didn't you get annoyed with your sister?”
“Ah, yes, she has a bad habit that I hate.”
“What is it?”
“He likes to play others. He is nosy and likes to see others annoyed by his behavior. I didn't say I hated him. I just hate his nature.”
“Pasti troublesome.”
Devin nodded, “But he was originally good. I remember when he was a kid he wasn't like that. I don't know what happened to her during my time in Japan.”
Mona looked at Devin seriously then asked, “Why did you go to Japan first?”
Devin stared back seriously but finally laughed and said, “My oldest brother got rid of me. He doesn't want a rival heir. When I entered High School he finally finished his studies. I remember very well that morning all my belongings were taken out and he told me to go to Japan. Without preparation, without friends, let alone family, I went to Japan that day and never returned to Indonesia until a month ago.”
Hearing that story Mona grimaced softly, “It sounds like your brother and sister are so annoying. But since you're back I'm sure you guys must have improved.”
“Ah, no, my eldest brother escaped after his scandal. So my parents were forced to ask me back.”
“Scandal?” Mona tried to remember the events of the last few months and suddenly remembered, “Wait a minute, your brother is the Felix?”
“Yup.”
“Wah, if such a case is severe also sih.”
“That's. Sorry, I'm not saying this clearly.”
“What's risk. We are here to relieve stress. So let's have fun!”
After the two spent the ice cream Mona again chose the next ride. This time it was a rafting arum. Mona and Devin who were in line in office clothes seemed to contrast with those who were in line in casual clothes.
When they finally started riding the rides, Mona immediately remembered she did not bring a change of clothes. But it's all too late. He was wet from the water. After they finally finished Devin immediately took him to the nearest gift shop.
“You want this one?” devin asked while pulling the pair's white shirt with the playground logo in the middle.
“Haha looks funny anyway. But it was a couple's shirt. Is it okay?”
“If you want we can choose that one.” Devin pointed towards the amusement park mascot costume. A clown costume.
“Gak thanks hahaha. Let's buy a couple aja.”
Devin paid for their shirt and the two went to the dressing room to bergnati. After a long while both of them came out at the same time and laughed looking at each other.
“Hahaha we look like a couple now.” said Mona laughs at the reflection of both on the glass.
“Yeah, this is passable.”
The two walked out of the shop carrying a small bag containing their second change of clothes. The sun was setting and the sky was turning orange. Mona was really satisfied today. He got another kind of pleasure that he had never gotten before.
He felt comfortable beside Devin and if possible he wanted to feel this way more lamalagi.
But from the back suddenly someone called out in a loud voice, “DEVIN!”
The two hurriedly turned around and found a young girl standing up calling just now. The young girl smiled mockingly looking ready for her turn.
