Grandpa Lim scratched his cheek and said, “I want you to take our men and look after the shops we protect downtown. Our mercenary police say that the Kaligis started to move and they seem to be attacking tomorrow.”
“Good, grandpa.”
“As for the one just now, I want you to take care of Ernie and her son. No special investments or anything. They're old friends, I want you to treat them like family.”
“Good, grandpa.”
Grandpa Lim took out a medicinal pill he used to take and gulped it down with water. Seeing his grandfather's condition, Gama knew very well that his grandfather would not live forever.
His 72-year-old grandfather has refused to retire from the family business. He is stubborn and thinks he can do everything by himself. But all that ended badly because Lim's headache grandfather had to take his medicine more often.
“Now go. I know you're tired. Take them with you.”
Gama nodded and did as the grandfather ordered. Gama exited the office and headed for the front lobby where the guards immediately saluted him politely. There, Ernie and her son were waiting.
Both of them immediately stood up when they saw Gama and Ernie said, “Ah, hello, sorry I didn't recognize you earlier.”
“It's okay. Do you have any luggage to carry?”
Ernie and her son shook their heads. So the three got into Gama's car and they went home. All along the way, they just stayed in the car. Only street lights and the noise of vehicles accompany.
During driving Gama glanced through the rearview mirror and saw the faces of both of them were completely exhausted. Gama also raised his speed on the silent road so that they can get there faster.
After driving for 30 minutes they finally arrived at the Gama residential complex. At 3 am, the atmosphere in the residential complex had long been quiet. The guards were brewing their warm coffee and the guard dogs were left to sleep from 10 a.m.
That night the cold air from the summit felt more piercing than usual. Blowing breeze angina comes along to fill every corner of the house that can be entered.
The car they were riding in went into the yard of Gama's house. After the car really stops, all three get off. Inside the house, they are greeted by a view of the living room full of modern artistic touches.
One thing Ernie quickly realized was that this living room was dominated only by white and gray. Mostly white. Ernie continued to walk deeper, and found soft sofas with no backrest lined up neatly around the corner of the living room.
A coffee table complete with a bowl on it contains fresh fruits to eat. A new big-screen TV is perched at the end of the living room, a giant flower vase in the corner. Ernie gulped imagining the price of this living room.
“Your rooms are on the second floor. There are two rooms there, whatever you want to use. If you need anything, you can call one of our helpers. They are still awake until 3 am.”
“Ah, yes, thank you very much, Gama. You're a good boy.”
Gama gave a small nod then immediately went to the kitchen to find a snack for the night. Meanwhile Ernie and her son immediately went to their room.

Gama who just finished cooking is now eating his food alone in the kitchen. He fries sausages and makeshift eggs and eats without protest.
From the direction of the stairs came footsteps, Gama glanced for a moment there and found Ernie's son named Gwen was about to go to the kitchen. He was a little surprised to see Gama still in the kitchen.
Gama as a good host also asked, “Haus huh?”
The young girl nodded small.
Gama then bothered to get up from his chair and went to get a glass and fill the water for the young girl. After the glass is fully filled, Gama thrust it on Gwen.
“Thanks.”
Gama gave a small nod then went to sit back at the dining table and eat. Gwen was still drinking while looking at Gama as if curious about something. After that he dared to sit in front of Gama.
“Makasih Om has reached us.”
“Do not use the word nampung dong. You are not animals.”
Gwen chuckles at hearing it then asks, “Om her sister mama, huh?”
Gama frowned, “I mean? Mama you don't tell me who?”
Gwen shook her head, “Mama doesn't want a story. I also do not know how mom can be allowed to stay in a house this big.”
“So yes…. Om still young but already very successful, yes?”
“That's.”
“What's business, Om?”
“Providing protection for other businesspeople.”
“Protection?”
“Yup, such as bodyguard services gitu.”
“Protection from what?”
“From people who want to mess up client's business.”
Gwen mangguk-nose, “That sounds interesting. After graduating High School later can I join?”
“Hahaha I guess you will not fit this business.”
“Kok is?”
“Our work demands that we stay up all night. Om not sure you are strong stay up.”
“Iya anyway..”.
“Lagian mama you want you to go to college. Why not go to college first? If you have graduated and still want to work in the Kolandam family, maybe Om can give you a chance.”
“Haha promise yes!”
The two continued to talk until the time was not felt already at 2 am. Gama immediately finished his meal and washed the dishes. Gwen followed behind him and asked.
“Om have a girlfriend?”
“Don't have.”
“Gebetan?”
“More.”
“Continue?Time to not like girls?”
“Haha not it. So busy, I don't have time for that. But Om has a playmate who often excites together. Her name is Mona.”
“Mona?”
“Iya, he's a fun guy. Anytime to knownin.”
Gama glanced at the wall clock in the kitchen then said, “Before morning. You go to bed gih.”
“Okay, thanks for being accompanied to chat yes, Om!”
“Yes, it's okay.”
Gwen gave one sweet smile before leaving and then went back upstairs to her room. Gama just chuckled at Gwen's adorable behavior. He doesn't remember that a high school kid can act that sweet.
Gama walked out to the swimming pool in the backyard and leaned his body on a lounge chair by the pool. All luck Gama's body feels sore due to working all day. Not to mention tomorrow he had to get up early to keep watch from the Caligists.
All that makes him tired and makes him want to rest for a moment. But he couldn't possibly sleep at this hour.
Gama pulled out his phone and tried to contact Mona.
There's no answer. Mona's cell phone has been unreachable since noon. I don't know what makes the girl busy to not check her phone.
