“Dead Princess? Where'd you hear that name, Dit?” ask the Nameless Teacher in wonder.
“He came last night. Want to try to kill me, but fail,” replied Aditya.
Teacher Without a Name just gawked. He said, “The Death Princess was the most feared assassin of her time. He could even kill three people overnight. And you can get away with it? Where did you dump the body?”
“I didn't kill him, Mr. Gandi. We even smoked and chatted together last night,” Aditya replied chuckling.
“Oh, yes? How can?” asked the Nameless Teacher still not lost his shock.
“It turns out Mr. Gandi doesn't really know ‘many’ things, yes. But, just so you know, sir, the Death Princess was the real mother of Shelly D. The up-and-coming top singer, you know,” said Aditya.
Nameless Teacher is just a mangosteen. “That's one of her greatness. The Death Princess could disguise very well. Not many know who he is. But obviously he often works for Setiawan Budi.”
“Indeed. And, he said something about Setiawan Budi. He said the mobster was on the verge of bankruptcy. Moreover not long ago a confidant he himself stole his money,” Aditya said.
Aditya hoped to get a good response from the teacher, but Rahman instead said, “Be careful, Dit. Don't trust the words of the Princess of Death. He is a loyal person to Setiawan Budi.”
“Then, why didn't he kill me?” said Adit. “High chance there was a lot last night. He could have pretended to be sorry, then killed me.”
“Well, I think there's another factor. But don't just believe the words of that cunning woman.”
Aditya doesn't know what to say anymore. He let the two guests go after they made an appointment tomorrow morning.
***
A cloudy morning in the corner of Bandung.
Ratna was waiting for someone in the meeting room inside her own office building. It's one of two new companies he founded not long after his grandfather's death. An advertising company. In that place many fashionable young people who passed by. A place that the Setiawan Budi people will not suspect.
“What is this?” ratna asked after when the man entered the room.
They are Aditya, Rahman Sugandi aka Teacher Without a Name, and Amy.
They shake hands.
“I don't know what to say,” Aditya whispered to the teacher.
The middle-aged man smiled and could not say either. In a fit of annoyance, Amy took over the situation.
“We came here to ask for your help,” he said steadily. “Basically, all this for Aditya's sake. Isn't that right, Dit?” Amy glanced at Aditya. Which is even wrong behavior.
“Eh, yes. That's right,” said Adit
“What help? About the bastard's family?”
“Ya, more or less so.”
“Come, just say,” Amy said impatiently.
But Aditya was silent. His tongue was dumb, unable to utter those words.
“Begini, Ratna. We have a plan that may not sound comfortable to you. And sorry, we thought that was the only way to silence Setiawan Budi,” said Amy who now looks upset at these two men. They were completely unable to speak in front of Ratna.
“Yes? Justsaytheword. Don't make me curious!” said Ratna who also began to be impatient. “Tell me what should I do?”
“You are married to Aditya,” replied the Nameless Teacher who now looks much calmer.
Those words really pierced Ratna's deepest feelings. Whatisthis? A wedding? He was? The figure of the man? He is going to marry Aditya who seems like he will not be able to have?
“No, Ratna. The only thing is, the marriage was a charade. Pretend,” Aditya replied.
Ratna looked very angry. “What the hell is this?!”
Aditya is getting the wrong way. Ratna got up from her seat, was about to leave the meeting room, but Aditya immediately intercepted her.
“This wasn't my idea, I swear! I don't think this is possible for us to do either. I can cancel this plan and expel these two people, but please don't you get angry, Ratna!” Aditya.
“You why the hell, Dit?” cut Amy who then stands up to them.
“You don't be childish like this! Isn't this all about life? I know how you feel, Ratna. I know you've liked Aditya for a long time. And what's the surprise? I also like him, but he never loved me,” Amy said, now looking very calm.
Aditya can only drown.
“Yes, I like it too. Funny, huh? How many women like him in this world? What'd you use pellets anyway, Dit? Hahaha!” amy tried to melt the atmosphere.
But Ratna didn't laugh.
“Good. Its serious. You may be just playing a show, but all this for the best of what. Setiawan Budi must stop with all his ambitions. His family and his men also had to stop. You also don't want Aditya to die, do you?” amy said as she clasped Ratna's hand tightly.
Ratna seemed to be thinking, and finally collapsed as well. This idea may sound very unworthy of him. He felt used, but indeed he did not want Aditya to die just like that at the hands of Setiawan Budi. He wants Aditya to stay alive until old age.
“I agree, but there are terms,” Ratna said.
“What is it?” ask the three of them almost simultaneously.
Ratna delayed throwing an answer, looking out of the meeting room with translucent glass. Out there seem to be passing employees who are busy taking care of their respective duties.
“I want the wedding to be held very luxurious. Like a real wedding. Not fake. And, my whole family should see this isn't a charade. You agree?” ratna said, this time with a sharp eye gaze piercing into Aditya's eyeball.
Aditya could not answer.
Rahman Sugandi just raised his hand, sign agreed.
Amy Aurora just shrugged her shoulders.
“Dan, last one,” says Ratna. “Me and Aditya live together. Like a couple in general. I want everything to look original, and only the four of us see this as a play.”
“Alright, what else?” reply Aditya resigned.
“No. Had enough. I was just curious, what Frita would say later, yes,” muttered Ratna looking happy. It was as if he was actually married to Aditya.
“He won't know. Can't know,” Aditya replied firmly.
“Ya, yes. It's up to you, Dit.” said Ratna who now feels victorious. A personal plan was immediately devised in his head.
Teacher Without a Name confirms one thing: “Ingat, Ratna. You will only marry until Setiawan Budi subdues. Somehow later. Let's see the progress. Most likely he will not dare to mess around after you get married.”
“Yeah, my men are many. Very much. You guys take it easy,” replied Ratna. He whispered to Aditya. A whisper that sounded very naughty and seductive.
“Why not from the beginning just ask me like this? I'll be happy, as long as we can sleep together. Like what you might have done often with Frita,” he said.
Aditya could only return Ratna's gaze in annoyance.
Seriate....
