Moon In Hugs

Moon In Hugs
Chapter 201

The next day Commander Malik picks up Aditya in the hotel lobby. They didn't make a deal, so Aditya was shocked to see his former commander reading the newspaper on the lobby couch.

“Halo, Dit. Have you checked out?” commander Malik asked as he folded the newspaper he read and placed it on the table. Then he stood up.

Aditya was suspicious that Malik might change his mind. Let alone the man told him to go again to the country to do some kind of mission.

“This I just want to check out,” Aditya replied in a flat and lazy voice.

“Waiting in the parking lot, huh? Don't be long.”

Before Commander Malik walked away, Aditya asked, “What business do you have waiting for me, Sir?”

“Too many of your services to the military, Dit. Especially for those who can't give me anything. So let us take you to your village. All so that I know where you used to be raised,” Commander Malik said.

Aditya did not mind the idea at all. But, the trip to his village was quite far away. It is in the corner of Central Java. Driving by road can take twice the normal time from Jakarta, because the terrain is quite difficult.

Malik seemed to know what Aditya was thinking. He said, “Already, you take it easy. I'm waiting at the parking lot.”

Aditya steps up to the receptionist to check out.

When handing over his room key to the hotel employee, Aditya made up, “To get there was also reluctant to board the plane. From the airport to the village takes hours. Hopefully the time during it does not make Malik seduce me to come back to work with him.”

Apparently not.

They don't ride cars or trains, let alone airplanes. Malik that morning invited Aditya to drive across the crowd of Jakarta to go to the house of a businessman. I don't know who the businessman is. Aditya did not know when Malik mentioned his name.

Malik said, “He himself who offers will take you by his personal helicopter. Hope you don't mind.”

“As long as my wish is not interrupted, I will, Sir,” replied Aditya.

It turns out that the businessman in question is Professor Joe's cousin. He wanted to do this as a thank you for saving the professor's life. It was a moment that Aditya thought was very awkward. He doesn't feel like a hero. He went to Thailand with a force at that time.

“Thank you for bothering to do this, but really you don't need,” Aditya said.

“Ah, don't be, Son. Now let's go,” said the businessman.

They boarded a helicopter for several hours until the vehicle approached near the top of the hill where Aditya's childhood village was located. The village looks so beautiful and green in the eyes of the businessman who is accustomed to seeing modern city buildings and covered in air pollution.

Malik said, “How long have you been away from this village, Dit?”

“Once, Sir. I don't remember very much. To be sure, more than six years. I never told anyone this, including my close friends in the army,” Aditya said.

“Wah, so so?”

“Hopefully Uncle still recognizes this much-changed face of mine, and especially still willing to accept me,” Aditya said.

“I'm sure he wants after hearing your rescue story.”

“Pak, you should not tell me about it,” cut Aditya as soon as possible.

Commander Malik understood and nodded.

Aditya then reminisces about his separation with the uncle who cared for and raised him since childhood. Both of Aditya's parents were dead by then. It just so happened that his uncle never married and had no children. So little Aditya treated him with all limitations.

Aditya will not forget how the uncle used to sell sweet potatoes to just be able to feed their stomachs both. Aditya can only go to school until Junior High in this village. Once back and forth to the next town for his High School education, thanks to the help of a gentleman who liked the kindness of his uncle.

“What makes you go, Dit?” malik asked after a long silence.

“You quarreled? About what?”

“It was just a trivial matter that we both had a fuss about. That's what I forgot what. I'm really sorry. The last few years have kept Uncle in mind. I myself have forgotten what trivial causes separate us. It's a sin if I don't come home before Uncle goes.”

The pilot said through a communication device connected to the ears of each passenger. He said, “Where exactly is your home position, Mr Aditya?”

“Near that field. There is a small mushala with a bright green dome!” aditya said half-screaming because the sound of helicopter propellers is quite noisy. Talking in a vehicle like this does have to be loud.

“OK! Landed on that field, huh?”

“Please!” aditya said, thinking how much this would be a surprise for the uncle. Either painful or pleasant surprise. Hopefully the uncle is happy to see it coming in this magical way.

Beyond Aditya's expectations, the uncle who was looking for wind outside the house after his merchandise was driven out by the hawks, looked excited once he knew there was a helicopter just above his house.

He knew it was a helicopter. Only, only the first time he saw it!

Other villagers gathered around to see the landing of a vehicle that they might see firsthand in the next few years. The sound of his storm, his strong wind that raised the clothesline and made their eyes poignant, did not hinder them at all. The people who came were even more swollen.

“Wah, here's what I don't like,” Aditya said.

“Dit, I think this situation will help. Your uncle will be easier to forgive you if witnessed by this many people. I wonder where he is?” malik.

Aditya pointed at a white-haired man standing at the front row. The old man was wearing an old Dagadu T-shirt that he had known since when he had it. The shirt looks shabby and hollow here and there.

As soon as the helicopter landed, people simultaneously rushed over. Maybe he thought this was an office.

“Wah, who came ya?”

“Come, we see!” they say.

It's just that the one who came down was a big man in a uniform of soldiers and a man who seemed not too foreign to them. The eccentric businessman also went down, but more like an ordinary person in the eyes of the citizens, because only wearing t-shirts and shorts.

Sure enough, Aditya's face which is only slightly different from the past makes one or two residents immediately recognize him.

“Lho, Aditya?”

“Wah, it's rich you now, Le! Got choppers! Hahaha!”

“Hey, this is Aditya coming! His nephew Mr Salim!”

“Great right, yes! Get a helicopter home! Hihihi!”

Hearing all that, Uncle from Aditya immediately changed his expression, from smiling in amazement to being astonished.

“Aditya?” his mind does not believe. “That dashing guy is Aditya?!”

“Uncle, I'm home,” said the man as soon as he was right in front of Uncle Salim.

His uncle could only gawk like a statue, then sat on the ground as he could not stand up. He was really in shock. Thinking his nephew was dead because there was no news, then one peaceful day he suddenly came home.

“To where have you been, Le?!” the old man shouted while crying as he pleased.

Seriate...
