Moon In Hugs
Chapter 203

Uncle Salim left for the market early that day. At that time Aditya of course still slept soundly in his room. He always woke up early, before dawn, to go to the market and buy a number of yams, to be sold around the village.

Uncle Salim looked at Aditya long enough before leaving. He prayed in his heart that the young man would not leave again and that he could marry as soon as possible. Can't wait for the story later when Aditya and Diana go for a walk. Today he decided to go home early to hear that.

Hour after hour passed. The sun rose and the light entered the window of Aditya's room. He still did not wake up and was heard snoring loudly from the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Diana was busy preparing breakfast. “Hmm, Aditya seems to be exhausted. Do I need to build? Ah, no. Maybe we didn't go for a walk today. Tomorrow there's still time.”

Aditya is indeed exhausted because lately the action is quite heavy and he also did not get enough sleep. He only woke up at 9 more than a quarter when Diana had returned to the house he rented.

“Wah, Uncle is gone,” Aditya said to himself. “Eating table is also full of food.”

Aditya doesn't like to think about this. Full meal at the table in the morning. A clean house in the hands of a woman. How much his Uncle Salim would have urged him to approach Diana. He doesn't know how to escape. Although Diana looked beautiful in her eyes, she had absolutely no intention in that direction.

Aditya then said to himself again, “Ah, my stomach is hungry. Instead of thinking about it, better take a shower and breakfast!”

He went to the bathroom and freshened up there for about 5 minutes. After finishing the bath, Aditya went straight to the dining table and peeked at what was available behind the food hood.

Aditya was surprised that there was his favorite dish. He can't think other than all this must be Uncle Salim. The old man must have told Diana what kind of cooking she liked. And, to be honest, Aditya could not help but be tempted by the cuisine. He also did not meet his favorite dishes.

“Good. It's time to have breakfast,” he said, then take a spoon and dip the rice, then take the side dish.

That's when suddenly Diana's voice came from behind, “You eat not use praying? Eat that straight away?”

Aditya choked in shock. “Which you think!”

“Hehehe, sorry, Dit,” said the girl. “I thought you were still sleeping. Something is left.”

Diana thrusts a glass of fruit juice at Aditya.

“Usually Mr. Salim likes to drink this before leaving for sale,” he said.

Aditya soon realizes why his uncle is not home. Obviously, he was selling out there. He had to ask his uncle to stop. From now on, he no longer needs to work.

“Thank you yes. You do not need to bother like this,” said Aditya.

“Yes, I just happen to have a lot of free time. My script is mostly nearing completion,” Diana replied casually.

“Oh, yes. You're a writer?”

“Ya, right. Mr Salim said yes?”

“Iya. Write about what?”

“I actually can not tell the story, but just a regular novel about life in the countryside,” replied Diana timidly.

Aditya just nodded. He did not realize that Diana was actually one of the best-selling writers out there. Understandably Aditya does not really like to pay attention to such things. He really likes to read, but not too enthusiastic, let alone want to know the lives of the writers.

Diana also had breakfast at the same table after being invited by Aditya. They did not chat much after a short talk about the novel.

Because it felt bad alone in this house, they decided to go out. As Uncle Salim suggested last night, they ended up going for a walk as well.

“The atmosphere of this village changed rapidly after six years I left,” Aditya said.

“Oh, yes?”

Aditya pointed to the south, near the village's most famous hajj plantation, which is now full of homes. He didn't really know those faces because the people in the area came from the city three or four years ago.

“Yes, now the most confused looking for a hiding place,” said Diana with a smile.

They continued walking and Diana explained some things about the village she did not suspect that made Aditya surprised. How many changes here that make Aditya regret leaving his uncle.

“What happened back then?” diana asked in a voice that sounded quite cautious.

“Well, I'm too young. I defied and disobeyed my own uncle. Though he took care of me since childhood.”

“Says you moved from city to city huh?”

“Yes, I lived on the streets, but not for long. I have lived in Jakarta, Lampung, and even Surabaya. I was in Bandung and stayed there. The job at the bank was fun. The people are all good,” explained Aditya.

“Yes, sometime I want to hear the story about the robbery,” Diana said and it makes Aditya so confused to make up a story how.

“Ah, just ordinary deeds that security guards must do kok.” That's what Aditya can say.

“There must be something unusual, to the point that your boss drove you home to the village by helicopter,” Diana said.

This time Aditya feels checkmate. He was forced to add that at that time he beat the robber who was holding a firearm. There were two of them and Aditya was one. One customer was shot, but Aditya immediately paralyzed the robbers.

“Luckily the customer survived,” he said.

Diana was amazed to hear that, although Aditya's story sounded a bit odd. Of course he could not demand much, although still curious half-dead what happened that time in the bank? There's no way Aditya would just act like that until his boss drove him here.

But, in his eyes Aditya a funny figure, seeing the way the handsome man told stories and demonstrated everything. Diana had not known that over the past few years, Aditya had killed no idea how many criminals.

“You were able to stay in Surabaya? In which area?” ask the girl who finally chose to change the topic.

“Wonokromo,” Aditya replied. “That's where I used to live on the streets, but only for a little while.”

“Why?” ask Diana.

“I'm easily bored. It seems like that,” Aditya replied curiously, because he did not know what to say. Then replace the one who is now asking Diana.

“You yourself from Surabaya, yes?”

“Iya. Just my job in Jakarta. Go back there once a year if lebaran,” said the girl.

They moved on to other topics for the next 15 minutes while continuing to walk down the partially paved village streets. When Aditya left here, the village streets were still dirt and stone. If the rainy season, the streets are bad and people can slip if not careful.

When he arrived at the river bank, there was the sound of a dirty motorbike. Instantly Diana's facial expression turned sour.

“Who is it?” ask Aditya.

The sound of the motor was getting closer and closer.

“You'll see for yourself later,” replied Diana looking annoyed.

Seriate...
