Owen swiftly caught the body of his mother who was almost plunged in the grassy ground. The man supported the mother's body and hugged her tightly.
For the sake of Caitlyn who had been struggling to sacrifice her happiness, Owen was willing to do this. Moreover, despite the nature of the mother is bad, still she is a woman who has given birth and raised him lovingly.
"Owen? You're right Owen, son?" Ariana with trembling hands then held Owen's face. After making sure that the man in front of her is her son who was lost and declared dead, Ariana's hysterical cries grew louder.
Owen nodded. His hand gripped the mother's hand gently. "It's me, Owen, Ma" he said.
"Father!" Just then, Chloe and Wayne ran towards them.
Hearing the screams and calls of his two grandchildren to Owen, Ariana suddenly gasped. "Papa?" muttered the woman. He turned his gaze to Owen, about to ask something. However, Owen hastily interrupted his conversation.
"Let me explain inside, Ma." After saying so. Owen helps Ariana wake up and immediately hugs her two sons.
"You guys okay?" asked Owen, smirking their cheeks.
Chloe and Wayne nodded. Both of them looked back and forth, as if they were looking for the whereabouts of someone. "Pa, where's Mom? Mommy's not coming?" ask Chloe curious.
Owen smiled wryly. "No. I'm not feeling well." The man dropped the two children off and asked them to play outside.
Owen then looked at his father who was sitting in a wheelchair.
Like his mother, Jacob was surprised not to be upset. The man had even been crying since. He wanted to shout the name of the son, but his voice could not come out.
"Pa!" Owen rushed to his father and knelt before him. They embrace each other to channel longing that has long been pent up.
Owen's tears couldn't be contained anymore. Seeing the condition of the father, made the man's heart completely destroyed.
"Owen son!" jacob screamed in an almost inaudible voice. As vigorously as possible, he showered the son's head with a barrage of kisses.
Gratitude does not forget Jacob prays to God, because it has reunited them in his life.

Although the clouds had turned gray, Caitlyn was still reluctant to move from the porch of her house. Accompanied by a warm cup of tea, the woman was waiting for news from her beloved husband and children.
There's actually a lot of fear in Caitlyn. Moreover, when until this second, Owen had not contacted him, or just sent a message. However, he always tried to deny the bad feelings. Right now, Owen may be straightening things out, and Caitlyn hopes that her mother-in-law can understand their relationship.
"Madam, it looks like it's going to rain soon. You better get inside." Anna, who had been watching her master from inside the house, finally chose to approach her.
The girl felt unbearable to see the confusion that was present between the two masters. Even so, he had no right to interfere. His job is now only to keep his employer, so that it is always okay while the husband is not there.
"A little while, An. I want to be here in a moment" replied Caitlyn softly. Even though a thin smile was imprinted on her beautiful face, it still could not hide the fragility that was there.
"Thank you, Ann," said Caitlyn.
"Together, Madam. If you need me, feel free to say it." Anna then resigned herself, after helping Caitlyn cover her body with a blanket.
...**********...
The atmosphere in the living room of the Edmund residence was quite silent. No one made a sound when Owen explained that he had survived the deadly incident nearly nine years ago. Not to forget, he also told me about the amnesia he had suffered.
Ariana. Inwardly, he was grateful for the fate of Owen who survived the accident. However, there was one thing that stuck his mind, namely the marriage of Owen with Caitlyn. How did they meet, and doesn't that mean Caitlyn is hiding the real facts?
"Lantas, how did you meet and marry Caitlyn, honey? What the hell is going on?" ask Ariana impatiently.
Owen let out his breath. He had expected, the mother would immediately ask such a thing.
"When my memory returns, the only person I'm looking for is Sean, Ma. However, after finding out that he was dead, I immediately found out Caitlyn's whereabouts. That's where we met, and I decided to propose." Owen answered Ariana's question very carefully. He doesn't want to talk.
Ariana was surprised. Instead of looking for his family, Owen chose to look for Caitlyn. "Among many women, why should she, Owen? Your brother's been stuck with Caitlyn, and now you're repeating the same mistake!" exclaim that woman.
Owen smiled faintly. "Ma, we have not met for years, it would be nice if we talk about other things first" he asked gently.
Ariana was silent for a moment. "Mama just wants to know your reason, Owen? What the hell is going on? Since long ago, Sean always emphasized Mama not to have a wife whose origins are less clear, because it can lower the self-esteem of the Edmund family! She's really Mama threw it in the street, but you took it!"
Owen's chest was immediately hot to hear the insults coming out of Ariana's mouth. Caitlyn said her mother had not changed.
Secretly, the man tried to control his emotions in order to remain stable. "There's nothing wrong with Caitlyn, Ma. You should know, if the actions of Mama have made the lives of the three of them messy and full of suffering. If I were to be a second late, the three of them would not have survived."
"What maksu—"
"Ma," cut Owen. "Thanks to Caitlyn too, I can come back here. He was the one who persuaded me to come, when I decided to start a new life, with a new identity."
Ariana. For some reason, the woman felt speechless. Owen was clearly different from the one he knew. Although Owen was not as quiet as Sean, but the man never returned his words.
Meanwhile, Owen chose to help his father return to the room.
"Rest, Pa," said Owen, after she had finished turning Jacob's frail body onto the bed.
"Caitlyn, get Caitlyn here, son. Papa hasn't met and apologized to her yet" Jacob said suddenly. Since the illness, his memory does sometimes like to be disturbed.
Owen raised the blanket on the father's body, then smiled knotfully. "Later on, Pa. Now Papa rest first."
Jacob nodded his head. Slowly, he stroked Owen in the face again, muttering a few words of gratitude for the return of his beloved son, whom he longed for.
