Chapter 8: The Black Flame
“Thank God the damage is not too serious, and the hole in the wall is too small to be seen from the outside and easy to hide from the inside.” Leo sighed in relief after covering the hole by sticking a piece of paper on it.

“If I want to continue practicing magic while keeping it a secret, I have to do it somewhere else. Do you have such a place in mind, Lilith? ”
“Why can't you do it in the training center alone? They have private rooms made for students who want to practice magic.”

“So... Well, I don't plan on going out because I don't have any money, and renting a private training room sounds expensive.” Leo sighed.

Leo gulped nervously. He did not expect his death to be so dark. Now he understood why he was reluctant to tell his story.
‘If he is telling the truth, I don't think he will betray me in the future.’ Leo thought in his heart.
“Can you tell me about your own world?” Lilith suddenly asked him.
“Trust me, you don't want to. This is a very boring place compared to this world.”

“Of course. This world has magic, but in my old world, magic only existed in fantasy stories and movies. If you take all the fun things in this world, you will have my world.”

“After all, I still want to hear it. If you tell me about your world, I'll teach you another magic spell!
“Seal!” Leo agreed.
Then he realized something.
“Wait, you said you can't use magic as a spirit, right? Isn't a magic circle considered magic?”
“Yes, magic circle is considered magic.”
“Then why can you use it?”
“Because my magic circle is not an actual magic circle. I am a spirit, so I can change my body according to my imagination, like this.”.
Lilith's right hand suddenly turned into a dagger blade.
“It was pretty cool.” Leo muttered.
“This is also how I can make magic circles without using magic.”
“Now once you understand, hurry up and tell me about your world!”
“Even if you say that, I don't even know where to start. My world is exactly the same as this world but without magic and vampires, and that includes schools and students here.”
“Then tell me about your life before coming here.”
Leo nodded and said, “I am a student of this academy in my world, but the academy has a different name there— Four Seasons.” University
“I come from a general background that doesn't have much money, so I had to get a scholarship to join the school. I got one by scoring the highest score in the entrance exam. As soon as I entered school, other students started bullying me because I was the only student in my class who came from the same background, and always being on top of them in the exams we have to take every two weeks doesn't help me in the slightest.”
“Oh, because I missed some grades, I am also the youngest person in our class.”
Lilith had a pitiful expression on her face after hearing Leo's miserable school life.
“How about your life before academy?”
Leo chuckled and said, “This is even more boring. All I do is learn from day to night, so I have no friends.”
After a moment of silence, Lilith spoke, “To be honest, your life is very similar to mine.”
“I have no friends because I spend most of my time practicing magic at home, and I have a very strict household. This is my life from beginning to end.”

“I doubt it.” Leo refused immediately.
Lilith smiled, “But it is true that you are the only person in this academy who can see me. By the way, this is another magic spell, as I promised.”
Lilith showed Leo a different magic circle this time.
Leo stared at the magic circle for a few seconds before the system appeared.

“This is a magic circle for Black Flame, dark magic spells and fire.” Lilit explained.
“Hah? I think I can't use magic with a different affinity.” Leo tilted his head in confusion.
“While it is true that this magic spell has a fire element, it is also considered as Black Magic. As long as the magic spell has some dark elements, you will be able to use them. With that, if you have a magic affinity for both elements, this magic spell will become stronger and increase the magic affinity of both of you. Lilit explained.
“So... I really want to try this new magic spell, but I have to hold it for now.” Leo sighed.
Moments later, Leo leaves his room and goes to the laundry to clean his sweaty uniform before going to see Hanks.
“What's up, Le? And why are you wearing a bathrobe?”
“I have no clothes, and my only uniform is currently being washed in the laundry.”
“So... In that case, do you want to borrow some of my clothes? We have a very similar body structure, so it has to work. ”
“Are you sure?” ask Leo.
“Yes, I have a lot of things I stopped. You can even take it if you want. ”
Leo shook his head and said, “I just need something to exercise. And one set of clothes alone is enough.”
“Good. Come with me.” Hanks took Leo to his own room.
Some time later, Hanks gave Leo three sets of clothes to work out.
“I know you only asked for one, but take it. Anyway I plan to throw it away later.”
“Thank you. I owe it to you.” Leo nodded.
“Also, I want to ask you, do you mind if I do some exercises around the dorm?”
“Of course. As long as you don't make a mess or use magic, you'll be fine. After all the use of magic is prohibited outside official matches and training centers.”
“T-Thank you.” Leo suddenly remembered the hole in the wall.
Moments later, Leo changed into new clothes and started running around the dormitory while Lilith followed him in the air.
After running for three hours non-stop, Leo returned to his room to take another bath.
Afterwards, she put on her school uniform and left the dormitory.
“Where do you go now?” Lilith asked him.
“Cafeteria, of course. I'm starving after all the training I did today.”
There were three different cafeterias that students could visit in the academy. Two of them served free food while the third was for the elites who did not mind paying for a sumptuous meal.
As for the other two cafeterias, one was only used by magic students whereas the other was for normal students.
However, this difference between students was unnatural, something the school intended. Rather, it was a situation created by students who preferred to be away from the other side, hence the difference.
Fortunately for Leo, the cafeteria used by normal students like him was the closest to his dorm, and he arrived after a ten-minute walk.
When he arrived, the students there quickly noticed Leo's presence, and with everyone there staring at him, it was almost impossible for him to eat quietly.
