Chapter 4: Give Me One Month

While news of Leo's return spread throughout the academy, Leo himself focused on his class, completely unaware of how much his return affected the academy and the students within it.

At the end of each class, students from nearby classes would rush to his class to see if the rumors were true.

But because they were not allowed to enter the classroom, the students could only look at them through doors and windows.

“Damn it! That'sthat's true! Leo is actually alive!”

“Yes, his name is Valery, and he's one of the few elite students in this academy.”

“Valery...” Leo repeats his name in a confused voice.

‘Si beautiful school, Valery, is my boyfriend?! Impossible!’ She was crying in her heart.

In the previous world, Valery was one of the most beautiful women in the academy with countless admirers, and she even had her own fanclub with over 10,000 members.

Although he had seen her several times, he had never really spoken to her before.

Although that didn't cross his mind before, Leo now completely understood the huge difference between him and the previous Leo in this world.

In his old world, he was a loner with no real friends, let alone a girlfriend. He was often bullied by other students who were envious of his highest grades despite being ordinary people. Meanwhile, ‘Leo’ in this world is the exact opposite.

She has friends, people who admire her, and even a boyfriend. He even suppressed the school bullies, giving hope to the other students.

After the last class ended, Leo stood up and prepared to leave.

“Where are you going, Li? Let's talk again! There's still so much we want to tell you!”

“Sorry, but I promised Miss Camille that I would see her as soon as my class was over. We can talk tomorrow.” She said.

After waving at the students, Leo walked out of the classroom and started walking to the hospital.

However, as there were no more classes left, the other students who had not had time to see Leo flooded the wide passageway, making it almost impossible to leave.

“Yes God, this is really Leo!”

Most of the students there were ordinary students, and they were very happy to see their idol alive.

Suddenly, a loud and aggressive voice resounded in the hallway.

“Side, trash base!”

“I swear I will destroy everyone here with my magic! I'll give you all three seconds! Three…! Two...!”

The students there quickly made way for this fellow.

Leo narrowed his eyes slightly when he saw this person.

Short green hair and a gangster-like face.

‘Kayn... It seems that this is still a jerk even in another world..’.

Kayn was one of the many bullies Leo had to deal with in his old world, so it wasn't too surprising for Leo.

“Ha ha ha! You are really alive! It's nice! I thought I'd never get a chance to take revenge on you for what you've done to me after hearing that you've kicked the bucket! Now that you're back, fight me, Leo!” kayn shouted as he pointed his finger towards Leo.

Leo took a deep breath and spoke in a calm but confused voice, “Sorry, but who are you? I have amnesia, so I don't remember you.”.

“I don't care if you have your memories or not! Fight me!”

“Sorry, but I'm a little busy right now. Maybe we can handle this again—”

“Either you accept my challenge or I defeat you here and now!”

Leo gritted his teeth in frustration. He thought that he would be able to live a somewhat different life in this world because of his strong reputation, but he had already met with bullies on his first day.

“What is this? Are you scared?! HA HA HA! I can't believe my eyes! I never thought I would see such an expression on the Sword Emperor's face in my life!” Kayn laughed out loud.

“Who said I was scared?” Leo suddenly spoke with tightly clenched hands.

“You want to fight? Of course, I'll fight you. But I won't do it now. Give me a month and I'll fight you. My body is still recovering from some serious injuries, so I won't be able to fight you properly now. Unless you don't mind fighting a man who's basically paralyzed. You wouldn't be satisfied even if you won such a fight, right? ”

Despite being bullied for most of his life, Leo never let them push him even if he ended up breaking a leg.

There was one thing he hated more than losing, and it was giving up on himself.

The hallway became silent after Leo accepted Kayn's challenge under certain conditions.

“What's stopping me from acting ahead of schedule and hitting you now, huh ?!” Kayn showed a grim smile at Leo.

It was at this time that the students on the other side of the passageway started moving to clear the path.

“I-It's Witch Valery! Everyone, move!”

Leo turned around after hearing this name, and of course, he could see Valery approaching him with a group of people behind him.

“Damn it! They are all from the elite class!” The students immediately recognized their elegant uniforms that looked much more graceful than those worn by ordinary students.

Valery stopped a few meters away from Leo, and he spoke in a calm voice while staring at Kayn, “Do you mind?”

“I'll see you in a month, Leo! And I don't care if you're ready or not then! We will fight even if it is the last thing I do!” Kayn growled at him before turning around and walking away.

‘I am safe... for now.’ Leo sighed a sigh of relief in heart.

However, when his problem with Kayn ended, he was immediately greeted by a new problem.

“Leo ... Is it really you?” Valery's soft voice echoed again, causing Leo to stare at him.

‘Even in this world, she is very beautiful..No, she even looks a little better here. Is ‘aku’ really dating a pretty girl? Hard to believe..’

“Sorry, but do I know you?” Leo pretended not to recognize him.

A sad expression appeared on Valery's face after hearing Leo's words.

“Leo, !”

One of the people standing behind Valery suddenly stepped forward and gripped Leo's collar aggressively.

‘John?’ Leo also recognized this man.

Just like Valery, John was a very popular student in his old world.

“If you will challenge me to fight like that person now, I must refuse.” Leo said as he looked John in the eye.

“John! Stop!” Valery suddenly yelled at him.

John sneered coldly before releasing Leo and returning to Valery's side.

“I'm sorry about that. We're not here to fight you. Do you really not remember anything? About me?” Valery asked her with a frown on her face.

“The only thing I remember is my name and I was once a student here. That'sthat's all. I'm sorry, but I'm very busy right now, and there's someone waiting for me. If you want to talk, find me next time. ”

And without saying a word, Leo turned around and started walking away.

‘Even if you have had a relationship with Leo before, I have no intention of continuing that relationship because I am not that Leo. After all, I have no feelings for you, even if you are very beautiful.’ Leo thought inwardly as he disappeared from the passageway.

Despite being given the life he has always wanted, Leo has no intention of living the life others have created. It didn't feel right to him, even if his decision might hurt the people in that life.

Once Leo was no longer on the scene, Valery's expression became cold, almost expressionless, his mind unknown.

“Valery, are you okay?” John asked her.

“I'm fine. In fact, I no longer feel guilty about our relationship right now. Leo may still be alive, but the Leo I once knew and loved is still dead.”

Hearing his words, John could not help but a relieved smile on his face.

After leaving Valery, Leo went straight to the hospital, where Miss Camille was waiting.

“You're late. Class ended fifteen minutes ago. I thought I told you to come straight here immediately after class. Where have you been?” Miss Camille greeted him with a bad mood.

“Sorry, but some people are blocking my way, preventing me from leaving. I was even challenged to a fight by Kayn.” Leo sighed.

“Cain? I think he's still mad about what you did to him.”

“What did I do to him?” Leo asked with a curious face.

“You hit him in front of the whole school, and he was bedridden for a whole week due to injury.”

“Ha ha ha! Serve him properly!” Leo laughed out loud.

Then he remembered that he had agreed to fight Kayn.

“I wonder if I can do it in a month. Anyway, I agreed to fight it.” He sighed.

“What are you? I told you to stay humble! ” Miss Camille frowned after learning of her quarrel with Kayn.

“He threatened to beat me up in front of the students! And I'm not a submissive! Don't worry, I have a whole month to get ready!”

“Kayn is ranked in the top 200 in the entire academy, and there are over 10,000 magic students in this academy. You won't beat it even if you're given a full year.” Miss Camille said in an indifferent voice.

“T-It is impossible..” Leo's face instantly paled.

Miss Camille shook her head and sighed, “That's only if you're really an ordinary person. Follow me.”

“Where are we going?”

“To train, of course.”

“Already?!”

“Do you want to win against Kayn or not? By the way, I don't care if you are killed by him. ” Miss Camille narrowed her eyes at him.

Leo gulped nervously.

“L-Let's practice..” He said in a sad voice at the next moment.
