Magical Systems In Other Worlds
Chapter 10: Vampires

“Can you lift your shirt?” Nina asked him shortly after he agreed to let her examine his body.

Leo took a deep breath and released it before lifting his shirt in half, revealing his pure six-pack stomach.

Nina gulped nervously and said, “AA is a little higher. Lift it on your chest.”

Leo said nothing and lifted his shirt until his whole body was open.

Nina pointed her toes to her limit and placed her hands on her chest, where her heart was.

He closed his eyes and began to examine Leo's body with unknown magic.

Lilith watched Nina's every move just in case she planned to do something funny to Leo's body.

‘There is nothing wrong with his heart ..’

‘The blood also looks healthy ..’

‘There is a bit of black magic in his body, but nothing to suggest that he was resurrected from the dead. Where is too weak.’

Half a minute later, Nina released her hand from her body and muttered in a dumbfounded voice, “You are not a revived corpse ..”

Leo immediately pulled his shirt back and said, “Thank you, captain is clear. I'm telling you that I'm not resurrected from the dead, but you don't want to trust me.”

“Why do you care if I am a revived corpse or not?” He then asked.

“Necromancy is my forte. It's only natural that I'm interested in someone who supposedly came back from the dead.” Nina said.

“By the way, I was wrong about you. Goodbye to.”

Nina turned around and disappeared into the shadows shortly afterwards.

“Excellent... He didn't even bother apologizing!” Leo muttered in a dumbfounded voice.

“At least his personality matches that rumor.” Lilit laughs.

Leo shook his head and continued walking back to the dormitory.

Meanwhile, after her examination of Leo, Nina Wraith returned to the main school building and went straight to the hospital.

Although the lights inside the hospital were turned off, Nina opened the door that was supposed to be locked after school hours and entered the room.

Inside the hospital, Nina could see a tall and mature figure standing by the window.

“I've checked Leo's body as you requested, Miss Camille.” Nina said after closing the door behind her.

“Thank you. I can only rely on you because you are the only person in this school who can tell if someone is the undead. What's the result?”

“Before I tell you the result, do you remember our deal? I didn't do this because of charity.”

“Of course. I have it here with me. ” Miss Camille showed Nina the thing in her hand.

“Call of the Dead. It is a B-class magic artifact that enhances all necromancy magic. Tell me the result and it's yours.”

Nina took a deep breath and spoke, “Leo is not a revived corpse. Her body is truly alive.”

“Are you sure?” Miss Camille frowned slightly.

“Seratus percent. However, there was a slight difference in his body. ”

“What is it?”

“There are traces of black magic inside his body, so he used black magic recently or he was hit by black magic. With that, the amount of mana in his body is unlikely to be the result of resurrection magic, so you don't have to worry about that.”

Miss Camille pondered on Nina's intel.

‘Trace black magic... Could it be caused by today's test? It makes sense because he has a Magic Affinity for dark magic.’

“Do you have anything else?” Miss Camille asked a moment later.

“No, that's all the information I have.”

Miss Camille narrowed her eyes at Nina.

“If I find out that you lied to me or withheld information, I'll come back for you, do you understand?”

Nina showed a cold smile on her gentle face, “Did you not forget anything else? That I'm not allowed to tell anyone about our agreement? ”

Nina quickly went to capture the magic artifact.

“Hai! That's dangerous—”

Nina tried to complain, but like a ghost, Miss Camille suddenly disappeared from the room.

‘Leo yes? Why does he care so much about her? It was unexpected that he was willing to part with a B-Class magic artifact just to make sure that he was not a revived corpse Nina did not linger around the hospital and immediately left.

Returning to the old dormitory, Leo lay down on his bed and prepared to go to sleep.

‘What if I wake up and find myself back in my old world tomorrow? What if this was all just a very long dream?’ He couldn't not have this thought.

Although he had only been in this world for less than a day, he had already started to like it.

“By the way, I really hope you won't see me sleeping all night.” Leo looked at Lilith, who floated right above him and looked at her face.

“Why not? You are quite handsome for a human size and just my type,” he said in a seductive voice.

“For humans?” Leo raised an eyebrow.

“Why are you talking as if you are not human? I mean, you're a ghost now, but technically you're still human, right?”

However, Lilith did not respond to him, as she was too busy looking at him with wide-eyed eyes.

“You're not aware?” He asked her after a moment of silence.

“Aware of what?”

Then Lilith realized something and muttered, “Oh, right. You're from another world, and vampires don't exist in that world.”

“Hah? Vampire?”

When Lilith mentioned vampires, Leo suddenly recalled what Miss Camille had told her today.

‘Vampires look exactly like humans, but they have white hair and red eyes.’

“K-You vampire?”

Since Lilith was very similar to a human, whether it was her appearance or attitude, she subconsciously treated her as a fellow human despite having unique traits.

Lilith nodded with a proud smile, “That's right. I'm vampire. But to think that you didn't realize it until now. ”

“Miss Camille told me, but I kind of forgot.” Leo scratched his head.

“Lupa? Even though your memories are quite incredible to instantly memorize magic spells? I don't believe.”

“Even if I have a perfect memory, it is inevitable that I will forget some small things! I have also thought about many things today, so my head is a little overwhelmed at the moment.”

“Is that so?”

Lilith continued to stare at her face in silence and with a brooding expression.

“What is it?” Leo decided to ask him.

“Now you know I'm a vampire... Are you afraid of me? Do you hate me? Are you going to stop being friends with me?” He asked with a worried look in his eyes.

Leo pondered for a moment before speaking, “After hearing about you from Miss Camille, I thought vampires would be much more terrifying. Anyway, I'm not afraid of you. Even if you might be a vampire, in my eyes, you are just a perverted ghost who likes to peek at people in the bathroom. Damn, even Nina Wraith, who looks like a child, is scarier than you.”

Lilith couldn't help but smile after hearing Leo's words, and she spoke, “Again, I'm not a ghost!”

“Anything. I'll sleep.” Leo said after yawn.

He closed his eyes and slipped himself comfortably on the bed at the next moment.

“Goodnight, Leo.”

“Night.”

Leo quickly fell asleep within seconds because of how tired he was.

As for Lilith, she would spend the entire night silently staring at Leo's sleeping face with a gentle smile on her face.

‘I wonder if he can say the same words now if he knows my true identity ..’ He sighed inwardly.

Seriate...
