Chapter 6: New Room

“What are you mumbling?” Miss Camille asked him.

“Hah? You don't see these texts floating in front of my face?” Leo asked her in a confused voice.

Miss Camille frowned, “Are you making fun of me?”

“T-No! Really is! Lookie! It's here!” Leo pointed to the transparent screen that followed where his eyes went.

“Nothing there.” She said.

“No way... But I can see it clearly..”.

“You are obviously so tired from training that you hallucinate. Rest up. We're done for today.”

“What?! What about magic?! You said that you would teach me magic!

“Trying to use magic when you are exhausted is tantamount to suicide. I won't allow it. If you want to learn magic, then you should hurry up and increase your stamina so that you will have enough energy to learn magic after practicing with the sword, which is your current priority.” And without saying anything more, Miss Camille went to unlock the door.

“You know how to get back to the dorm, right? I'll see you here tomorrow after school. Don't you dare be late again or I won't teach you magic.”

After Miss Camille left, Leo also began to return to his own dorm.

As the students surrounded him, Leo sighed loudly, “Can you all stop acting like today is the last day you can see me? You will have many opportunities to see me in the future. I am very tired and want to go back to my room.”

The students were silent until one of them said, “Your room? It was cleaned a month after your ‘death’. You should not have a room now. ”

“What? That is impossible.” Leo could not believe the voice and rushed to his room.

He remembered very clearly waking up in his room today.

A few minutes later, Leo arrived in front of room 1-G.

He started looking for his wallet which had the room key.

However, his body was empty, and his wallet was nowhere to be seen.

‘Oh shit! I left my wallet in my room today because I was in a hurry to go!’ Leo cried in his heart.

“Do you need help opening that door?” Someone there suddenly asked.

Leo turned his head to look at the person who had just spoken and recognized him as the manager of the dorm.

“This was supposed to be my room, but I forgot where I put my keys..” he said.

“I don't mind opening the door for you, but don't tell me I didn't warn you.”

The hostel manager unlocks the door with a card moments later and lets Leo inside.

“What? This is not my room!” Leo was confused by the interior of the room that looked very different from this morning right before he left!

‘Maybe Leo from this world was assigned to a different room?’

With this in mind, he turned to ask the hostel manager, “What room do I use to stay?”

“1-G, but as I've said— your room has been cleaned because you are presumed dead.” The hostel manager explained it to him.

‘If that's the case, where do I wake up today? That must be my room! Or was I teleported to this world when I left my room?’

“So ... If that's the case, are there any rooms currently available that I can use for a while?”

“Sorry, but this building is already in full capacity. I'll ask other hostel managers to see if they have any rooms available.”

“Thank you.” Leo nodded.

So, he followed the dorm manager to his office.

After a few phone calls, the hostel manager said to him, “There is one room available in the old dorm building. Sorry, but that's all we have right now.”

“Old building, yes... Well, it looks like I have no choice.” Leo shrugged his shoulders.

“One more time, I'm really sorry about this.” The hostel manager lowered his head.

“Don't worry about that. It's not even your fault.”

“Thank you. Do you know where the old dorm is? About ten minutes from here.”

“Ya I know.”

“The hostel manager there must have been waiting for you there. She has short red hair with sporty face.”

“Thank you.”

Leo left and walked into the dorm room shortly afterwards.

‘Yeah, I really hope the old hostel is not haunted like my old world.’ He prayed in his heart.

The old hostel was famous in its old world for being haunted. There are many recorded phenomena that no one can explain.

Of course, Leo didn't believe in the superstition of—at least until recently.

If magic, vampires, and witches existed in this world, it was likely that ghosts existed as well.

“Yeah, it's a surprise.” Leo muttered as he approached the entrance, where a red-haired student in his early twenties was seen waiting for something or someone.

“Leo!” The red-haired students started waving at him the moment their eyes met.

Leo approached him and greeted, “Halo.”

“I'm Hank, this hostel manager. Your room is ready. Follow me.”

He nodded and followed Hank to his new room.

A few minutes later, as soon as they arrived at the door, Hank handed the room key to Leo and said, “If you have any questions, you can find me in my office after school hours. Oh, even though they cleaned your old room, they didn't throw away your stuff. I've emailed to the storage section, so you'll get your stuff back in a few days.”

“I understand. Thank you.”

Upon entering his new room, Leo looked around the place. The room was quite spacious, but it was due to the lack of furniture and personal items.

In addition to the dining table, several chairs, and bed, the room was practically empty.

“I've missed my books and TV..” He sighed loudly when he started taking off his clothes.

As soon as he was completely naked, Leo went into the bathroom to wash his sweaty body.

‘I still can't believe that I've traveled to another world. It feels very unreal, but .. Am I really in a dream that is really real? Maybe I'm in a coma because of the fight?’

Leo began to have many thoughts to bathe as hot water rained down on his body from head to toe.

He was pondering about what he should do from here, about his future, about his old world.

He was nervous and even a little afraid of uncertainty, yet he was also excited about this new world and all the new things he learned.

‘According to Miss Camille, I seem to have quite good magic talent.. I don't think I will have any other talent ... This could be an opportunity for me ..A chance to change the purpose of my existence ..’

Leo suddenly has the desire to open his eyes that have been tightly closed for a few minutes.

“That's a ghost!” He shouted in a surprised voice as his wide eyes stared at the shower wall in front of him, where a human head was sticking out of the wall.

The ghost was also surprised by Leo's reaction, and he exclaimed in a clear feminine voice, “K-You can see me?!”

‘That can talk?!’ Leo cried in his heart.

“Hai! Answer me! Can you see me?!” The ghost asked again.

Leo sat in the bathtub with a confused expression on his face.

After a moment of silence, he stood up and pretended that nothing had happened.

He rinsed his body for a few more seconds before exiting the bathroom, completely ignoring the ghost.

‘I'll just pretend I can't see it. If he finds out that I can see him, he will most likely haunt me!’ leo thought as he dried his body with a towel.

After putting on the only one he had, the bathrobe he found in the bathroom, Leo went straight to the bed and pretended to sleep.

While Leo lay on the bed with his eyes closed, the ghost floated right above him, silently staring at his handsome face.

“You're so bad at pretending, you know? I know you can see me. I'm not an evil spirit, so you don't need to be vigilant.”

“…”

‘That sounds very suspicious! Like something evil spirits will say!’ Leo cried in his heart.

“If you open your eyes now, I will show you my beautiful!”

The ghostly words were so unexpected that it made Leo's face involuntarily twitch.

The ghost chuckled softly as she looked at her reaction and continued, “See! I'm completely naked now! No one's ever seen me naked before, you know? That means you will be the first! All you need to do is open your eyes! Then you will be able to pamper your eyes on my graceful body! ”

The ghost sighed after seeing this.

The ghost looked a little surprised by his reply.

“I'm not actually a ghost, because I'm not completely dead yet. I'm what you call ‘Roh’. ”

“For starters, Spirits are living beings that do not have a physical body. My physical body may be long gone, but my soul is fine, and it makes me a Spirit.”
