                "Mommy....!"

Jasmine barged into Catherine's room.

"Mom, did she say Mom was hurt?" jasmine looked at Catherine sleeping on her bed.

"Mommy's okay, Mine."

"But he said last night Mommy was hurt. Who's lukain Mom? Let Jasmine teach him a lesson!" the boy exclaimed so funny that Catherine chuckled and felt very funny to see the behavior of a 5-year-old little girl.

"You're a girl, why so arrogant" he cheered.

"Mommy laughed at me. I'm serious, I want to take care of Mommy."

"Seriously Mom. We are not just the two of us. So we both have to take care of each other. I don't have a Daddy who'll always take care of Mom and me."

"You're here?" asked Aiden because he was walking down the apartment hallway to his room.

"Yes, I rented an apartment here. Do you live here too?" ask Evelyn.

"Yes, my room is in front" he said.

"It turns out we're neighbors" he said. "It's been a long time since that happened."

"Yes" cried Aiden. "What is your mother's condition now?"

"He's better. After the incident, I took him away from N city and settled in a fairly quiet rural area. But I have to come back here because there's a job" Evelyn explained.

"Thank God, then" said Aiden.

"Just come home from work?" ask Evelyn.

"Yes, let alone me, it was so nice to meet my savior" he said, making Aiden smile.

He then nodded and went into his room.

'My reason for returning is not just work, but because of you, my Hero,' Evelyn's inner smile happily.

He did not expect that fate was so easy to find himself with Aiden. Even in such a close distance.

"Why did you get to work?" aiden asked as he walked into Catherine's room.

"I've been feeling better" Catherine said, focusing on her work.

"You should just rest" said Aiden, taking a seat in front of Catherine.

"What's coming here?" ask Catherine.

"Just want to see you" said Aiden, and Catherine froze in place.

There was a tremor in his heart, and it felt so warm as well as comfortable.

'Why? Why is Aiden so gentle and watching me? Does he have the same feelings as me?' inner Catherine.

"What's wrong?" ask Aiden.

"Emm it's okay" Catherine smiled. "By the way, thank you for saving me yesterday" Catherine said.

"No problem. I should have taken care of you" Aiden said casually.

"Why should you take care of me? You're neither my boyfriend nor my husband." Catherine's words made Aiden look at her for quite a while.

Catherine smiled cynically. "Friend?"

"Why, is there a problem?" ask Aiden.

"Then just ask," cried Aiden.

"What happened to you and Agneta 5 years ago?" catherine's question was able to make Aiden's face look hard.

"Why should I ask this?" ask Aiden.

"What do you really want to know? Didn't you know about Agneta and Davero's wedding 5 years ago. Then what can I do with a married woman" Aiden said, as his jaw hardened.

Catherine realized that her question provoked Aiden's emotions.

"Do you still have feelings for Agneta?" ask Catherine.

"Cath, what do you really want to make sure of?" aiden's question on target had Catherine frozen in place.

"That-" Catherine fell silent.

"Then let's turn the question around. What took you away from me 5 years ago and left me. What made you avoid me, Cath? Is there something you're hiding and I shouldn't know?"
