"Wait here, Bibik will discuss payment issues with the owner of this shop," Savitri said walking away from the two men.
Ray leaned his limp and tired body against the wall while crossing his arms under his chest.
His head lowered and one leg swiped to the ground. Dara who felt bad then went to find her own busyness.
"Is the man who met you the father of your son?" ask Ray. Dara then turned her head and looked at Ray, speechless as she was reluctant to answer. He looked around the room again looking for something he could use to clean the house.
"Damn! I should have expected this before."
Dara seemed to want to say something but stopped it again. They fell silent again. A thousand questions perched on Ray. He did not believe what Savitri said, but the Dara residence had answered all that it was true.
"Then why did you refuse his presence back then?" ask Ray.
"Because he is married" replied Savitri who had returned.
"Based on a jerk! Hammered one woman while she already had another woman as her wife" Ray said. Hit the wall behind him.
"That's not what you thought," said Dara, leaving Ray speechless.
"We clean up this place first and we can sit down and talk about it calmly. At least I wish we could make a clean room a place to rest."
"Ray, help me get some stuff in the trunk of the car. While you Dara stay still in place and do not move much so that the fetus in your stomach is fine."
"But ... .''
"No, there's a buts-button. You have to look after it for me," Savitri said, making Ray link his eyebrows together. He didn't understand what had really happened.
Savitri goes downstairs and pulls Ray's hand to go with him.
An hour later one upstairs room was clean and ready for use. Fortunately in the room there is still one foam mattress that is still worth using. Savitri also brought a folding mattress. So Savitri and Dada would sleep on the bed and Ray would sleep on the floor.
"If Dara's husband is not responsible I will marry him if he wants to" Ray said as they sat back in the room.
Dara looked at Ray and saw earnestness in his eyes. Savitri let out a long sigh before saying anything.
"This is why I brought Dara out of the house immediately. You know the people there still hold the value of custom. What will Dara experience if people know about her pregnancy. It is not sympathy even scorn that will be obtained. It was also not their fault for doing that because Dara had exceeded the confines of the association."
Dara lowered her face, her heart touched by the words Savitri said. It turned out that the woman had already thought about her future.
Ray could only look at him. Now in Ray's heart is embedded one question, why is his aunt willing to sacrifice herself for a young woman who is nobody?
Savitri seemed to know what Ray was thinking.
"You must be confused to see Bibik want to move here with Dara who is nobody to us" said the woman.
Ray raised his face and looked towards Savitri.
"You remember Chris?" ask Savitri.
"Sister Kris, aunt's son?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Savitri looked towards Dara.
"Kris is a man close to Dara" Savitri said as he placed his hand on Dara's hand. Ray pias's face was instantaneous.
"Is that man Kris?" ask Ray. He felt like he was being fooled by everything here.
"Yes, that's Kris. My son," said Savitri.
Ray took a breath and looked at Dara and Savitri who were in front of him.
"Why haven't you guys told me this before?" ask Ray.
"Because I also just found out that Dara was pregnant last night" Savitri replied.
"When did Bibik know that the man was Kris?"
"When he came to Dara's house and fought with you. Bibik asked Dara who the man was and Dara told him everything" Savitri said.
"I don't understand why it's all a coincidence. Dara will you explain everything to me so that my mind is clear. Honestly this time I felt angry because I felt fooled, upset and heartbroken because I felt my heart was played with" said Ray.
"Kris and I lived together for a few months in her apartment. You can think I'm a cheap woman or a bad woman."
"I won't blaspheme you before I know the truth" Ray responded.
"I fell in love with him and gave myself up to him. But my love could not make him love me and his family forced him to marry a woman from above. I'd rather give up so that his ambition can be fulfilled and get out of his life."
"But how can ... ." Ray pointed at Dara and Savitri in turn.
Dara smiled a faint smile, barely visible.
"I knew that if Kris had a mother and I looked for her at the previous address, someone gave her home address in Sukabumi so I looked for her there and I found her. Long time I was stalking, then I knew if there was a house that was being sold in front of his house and it was an opportunity for me to get close to him after that I bought the house."
"Why don't you go back to your parents' house and take the trouble of finding Bibik's address?"
Dara's eyes glazed. He took a deep breath.
"Because I'm an orphan who used to live in an orphanage. Destiny brought me together with Kris and she taught me what love, compassion and home are, " said Dara without feeling a drop of tears falling down without her being able to prevent it. Dara hated seeing her fragility in front of others. He wiped those tears and smiled.
Savitri who saw him immediately hugged Dara and rubbed the woman's back.
"I'll be Kris' replacement to look after you and look after the child you're carrying" Savitri said.
"Didn't that man come to your house, why don't you be honest with him if you're pregnant?" asked Ray who was still curious.
Dara was surprised by Ray's question.
"You were impressed to cover it up by making me your shield" added Ray.
"I'm sorry! If it makes you hurt." Dara then lowered her face. "She's married and I don't want to ruin her marriage."
"I can see if she loves you Dara. She's also entitled to know about your pregnancy because she's her father. You are selfish for wanting to own it yourself. I'm sure if she finds out you're pregnant, she'll choose you. As a fellow man I can judge his feelings."
