My Apology

They fell silent when they saw Maria coming in with a tray containing two cups of herbal tea. He politely gave it to the two men.

Alehandro drew Mary's hand to sit next to him.

''Do you know who Maria is?" ask Alehandro. Maria then watched the old man before her. Instantly he shook his head.

"I'm pretty sure I don't know him. It was impossible for me to meet someone as big as him and forget him, except when I was a child and could not remember him" Maria said with an awkward smile.

"Did your father never tell you in a photo or what he is?" Alehandro.

"Wait a minute, what's the matter?" maria asked suspiciously.

"Mary, we have never met before but these few years I am looking for your whereabouts" said Putra Tanjung.

Maria fused her eyebrows together and the two lines on her forehead began to become clearly visible. She looked towards her husband who was sitting leaning against the chair with his hands on the backrest of the chair behind Mary's body.

"Why?" ask Maria to speak loudly. He was afraid that the man had something to do with his mother's family. His intuition started bad.

"Because you are my grandson, the son of Natalia," replied the Son of Cape hoping that Maria would be pleased and enthusiastic to hear it.

Maria lifted one corner of her lips up, smiling sinisterly.

"Since you have realized I am your grandson," the Son of Cape was astonished to hear Mary's reply.

"Or rather since when did you start needing me as your granddaughter?" ask Maria.

"I know people like you wouldn't come here and acknowledge me as your grandson if you didn't have a specific purpose yourself" Maria said.

"If you feel I would be honored to be a grandson of Son of Cape you're wrong."

"I'm Maria Dicky's son a private driver not a nobleman or a tycoon. So my father's status I thought would be humiliating. So you better close the fact that I'm your grandson because that sentence feels ludicrous in my ears!"

Maria let out a long sigh, Alehandro's hand now squeezing his hand giving strength. Mary looked at Alehandro. Alehandro nodded his head in support of Maria whatever her decision was.

"Where is the woman who claimed to be my mother?" ask Maria.

"Natalia is your mother, she's at home expecting you to come to see her and forgive her!" putra Tanjung.

Mary moistened her dry lips, swallowed her Saliva deeply, and took a deep breath.

"Did he also feel sorry for abandoning me since I was a child so small that I never remembered his face" said Maria.

"You didn't come to be a grandfather who loved his grandson! You apologized not for regret but you did all this out of your greed," Maria laughed sarcastically.

"How can you accuse me of that? On what basis?"

"If you were my grandfather, you'd come because of your love, not because you needed me as your heir!" maria said, wiping her tears and leaving the place. His chest felt hot and tight as the flames of anger that had been buried all this time finally exploded as well.
