As usual Mary left in the morning to go to work. As usual Maria walked through a narrow alley. Some young men greeted her politely, they knew Maria because she was the prettiest woman in the complex here.

"For Neng!" said the young man in a seductive tone. Maria stepped aside trying to get away, she then accelerated her movements until she reached the end of the alley. Mary looked to the right left of the road before meeting Alehandro.

"Mary!" call Alehandro but Mary does not heed, she prefers to cross the covered road.

"Mary!" call Alehandro but get blocked by a passing police patrol car.

"Good day sir, I'm sorry you can't park on this street body" the policeman said. Alejandro abandoned his intention to pursue Maria.

Maria went straight into the back door of the restaurant. He was about to put his bag down when the restaurant manager approached him.

"Mary, don't you know if you've been kicked out of this job!" exclaim that Manager.

Maria approached the manager.

"What is the reason, sir?" ask Maria.

"Did that sudden departure of yours not make enough of a reason to be excluded from this job? You're still in the training stage not yet a permanent employee. But you're acting beyond the limit.

" I'm sorry sir, is that?" Maria wanted to give her reason but she undoed the intention because it would be useless for herself.

"Yes, it's sir. Thank you for your willingness to accept me to work here for a while but may I ask for my salary this month, sir!"

"You've already smashed a snack box yesterday and are still asking for a paycheck? It's still a good thing that the people who rented this place are not satisfied because of your mistake yesterday!" exclaim that Manager. Maria knew that the snack box was more but the Boss gave her that excuse to hold back her salary.

"Well, if my money can make your stomach full I'm sincere!" maria looked at her boss's distended stomach.

"Mary!" yelled the manager.

Maria then rushed out of the restaurant before getting the curse from the Manager.

Maria stopped by the road! Should he return home to the boarding house and lament his bad luck all along? Maria sighed and chose to go for a walk while looking for a new job.

It had been an hour he had walked but he had no job vacancies available. Many businesses have closed due to the covid outbreak. Various trade businesses are now empty of buyers.

Maria felt very tired and hot because the sunlight was already above her head. He then wiped the sweat off his forehead and neck. The ice cart in front of him made his esophagus dry instantly. He opened the bag and took out his wallet. There were only four hundred thousand more than the salary last month. If he wears this excessively then it is certain that he will not be able to pay the boarding money next month. It's also that he'll starve if he doesn't get a job as soon as possible.

Dara, she's been helping Maria a lot all along. Mary could not bear to have borrowed Dara's money.

Maria's eyes reddened, she held her breath so that her cries would not come out.

He then cried in prostration. After he finished his worship he intended to return to his boarding place on foot around a different road.

Along the way he asked every store he passed if there were job openings, but their answers were all the same if there were no job openings.

He finally arrived at his room. It looks like the mother of the owner of the boarding house is sitting with the other occupants of the room.

"Eh Maria, your husband is waiting for you in the room. Um please tell her thank you so much for all the delicious food and drinks she brought for the kids here."

"He's here, Mom?" mary asked to make sure her hearing was not wrong. The hostess nodded her head while eating the rambutan fruit on the table.

But Mary did not listen to him she ran straight to the room and saw the men's shoes on her doorstep.

Maria rubbed her rough face many times in annoyance. He took a deep breath before opening the door to his room.

He slowly opened the room door and looked inside first. He saw Alehandro sleeping on his little foam mattress with one hand closed his eyes.

Mary opened her shoes and went inside and shut the door. He was at a loss for what to do, just looking at Alehandro. Maria then put her bag into the clothes that are behind the door. And sit on the side of the bed and take a drink from a gallon of water. Nearby are some food packs that are still intact. His stomach was empty from the morning when he looked at the package.

"That's for you," Alehandro said, leaving Maria shocked.

"I've eaten, you can take him away from here!" lies Maria.
