Love is Named Us

Love is Named Us
A Friend I Trusted

I hit my body slowly that felt this sore. Besides being exhausted from Hanum's wedding yesterday, today I did not stop moving my body to exhaust myself.

I leaned my body against the wall to rest for a moment this tired body. My job is reduced, there is no harm in me taking a short break.

Unconsciously my eyes closed, if not for the sound of my friend, I might have fallen asleep.

" Herman." I corrected the position of my body that was leaning earlier.

" Loh Yuna's. You're here?"

" Yes, I'm taking a break for a while."

" Oh so," he said "Oh yes, where was yesterday? why not come in?"

" Yet?"

" Yes, yesterday why didn't you come in? Boss looking for you."

" The boss is looking for me?"

Herman nodded.

" But I've asked permission not to enter and I've also asked Widya to replace me."

" Withy?"

I nodded. And Herman seemed to wrinkle his forehead.

" But Widya didn't come."

" What?" I was shocked so much. " But I've asked Widya to replace me. Did he forget."

" Are you sure you asked Widya to replace you?"

I nod my head.

Herman's face changed immediately.

" A-da what?" I started to worry about his response. The contents of my head were already expecting something unpleasant to happen.

" I can't explain, you'll know for yourself. Now go to the boss's room, he was looking for you."

I nodded without saying anything to her.

I don't know what happened yesterday until I had to deal with my own friend. What is clear is that my feelings say there will be something big that I never thought of before.

...****...

" Excuse me Boss," I said opening the door after knocking.

" Get in, Yuna" he replied, letting in. " Sit down" he told me to sit down.

The mood changed a little. Martin's face looked serious.

" Do you know why I called you here?"

" I know the Boss, Herman told me."

Martin nodded his head.

" Look, Yuna, you said that Widya would replace you, but why isn't that happening. Neither you nor Widya came to work. Can you explain it?"

" I did ask Widya to replace me yesterday and Widya agreed. But, I don't know why Widya didn't come yesterday. I think there might be a misunderstanding here."

" Widya is that right?"

I looked directly back. Widya was standing looking at me. I feel like I see a different Widya, unlike the Widya I know.

" Yuna didn't say anything to me, Boss. If Yuna asks for my help, I can't possibly deny it. "

A confession that was completely beyond my expectations. He didn't even seem to doubt his words. An incredible lie came out of his lips.

" Before yesterday's incident, Yuna reported to me that you've exchanged schedules and you're in agreement with that."

" I don't know about that, Boss. As I recall, Yuna didn't say anything about exchanging schedules."

" But Widya, we didn't have a deal when I asked you to replace me. Why don't you remember. You were responding to it."

" Why do you have Yuna."

" W-wr.."

" In other words you want to say I'm lying, right." Widya's eyes started to look glassy. " I don't really know the boss."

Tear.....

Always powerful to be used as a shield. It was as if I was doing something heinous to him.

I'm just sculpting. My body feels helpless. Seeing her with tears in my eyes made me think what drama she was playing. Is this a joke that I often see on television or am I still in dreamland. I am so helpless with all this.

" It's Widya don't cry" said Martin. Widya was silent. Martin directed his gaze towards Yuna who was still speechless. There was no defense from him. Then directed his gaze to Widya who was still wiping away her tears.

Martin took a breath. Trying to calm his mind in the face of the problems that occurred with both of his workers.

" Widya get back to work."

Widya nodded and left. I was still silent without any response.

" Yuna." Martin held my shoulder and I gasped. " Why are you quiet? why don't you defend yourself?"

" For what?" Martin was surprised by my words. " Defending to death even if the one against such a person was only wasting energy. Maybe not as a boss but as a friend, do you trust me, Martin?"

" I believe you, Yuna. But as your boss, I have to be fair."

" I know."

" This is a problem we consider finished. No more problems like this. Now get back to work."

" Good boss, thank you. Then excuse me."

" Please," she smiled slightly.

...****...

I sat on the floor in the locker room. It's still fresh in my memory the sentence Widya said. Reversing all the facts. I don't know why he did it when we were so close. I also considered him my own friend.

The sound of the door opening made me realize. Tia stood looking at me sharply. He also gave me a bottle of mineral water.

" Take it."

I hesitantly took the bottle.

" Thank you" I said.

" Didn't you remember what I said back then?"

" Guidings?"

I started to remember what Tia meant. With a little memory of me with him, I thought hard to remember him.

I slowly nodded as soon as I understood the question.

" Thank God you remember, now you know, right, what I mean."

" Yes, I didn't think there would be anything like this either. Totally beyond my expectations. And I don't know what's wrong with her either. "

" Of course it's unexpected because from the beginning you've been approached by Widya and made you her best friend. So you won't realize that he'll do you any harm later. "

I grinned.

" What's wrong with her is that you don't have anything wrong, just that something makes her jealous and dislike you."

" What is that?"

" You ask him yourself."

" If I could ask you this since."

Tia didn't respond. He had absolutely no desire to tell me the true story.

I don't want to force either. Maybe it's better that I hunt for answers from Widya myself and that will make me more satisfied.

" Do I look so innocent that I can be made an easy target?"

" It could be."

" You're really being too forthright. Can't you lie a little to calm me down?"

" Will that solve the problem?"

I nod my head.

" At least I know you can talk sweet."

" This is a lesson for you. At least you realized it sooner even in a way you didn't expect."

" Yes you're right, at least I know the real character of that friend I thought was good."

" Oh yeah, Tia, I'm sorry to you, for something I unconsciously believe in. And I also thank you with your warning to me the other day."

" Ok."

I can only smile with that short answer. Really a Tia I know.
