Love In Pesantren's

Love In Pesantren's
Patience

Haqi returned to the room, then placed the plate he carried onto the small table beside the bed. Haqi looked at Hulliyah who had already closed her eyes.

Haqi gave a small smile then sat his body on the edge of the bed. Haqi's hand extended freely over his wife's sleeping head, stroking the head gently.

I will never give up on fighting for you. I'm sure after all these obstacles, we'll be united in a beautiful way.

Haqi smiled at Hulliyah's peaceful face in his dream. The long stare at the wife did not make Haqi sleepy at all.

Throughout the night Haqi did not sleep, enjoying his night by clutching, looking, and kissing his wife.

-------------------------

In the morning Haqi faithfully accompanied Hulliyah. He deliberately did not teach today and chose a holiday for the next three days.

Haqi wanted to enjoy being with Hulliyah while he could, while Hulliyah's father was still in silence.

Haqi fed Hulliyah in the living room where her father-in-law was there enjoying her favorite boiled cassava.

Haqi fed Hulliyah very painstakingly, his hands occasionally rubbing Hulliyah's lips when there was food left there.

"Sister, said Ummi still like to be bribed huh?" ask Hulliyah.

"Ish Ummi, next time don't be too trusting with Ummi. He likes to overdo it." replied Haqi.

"But really, right?" hulliyah said to Haqi.

"No .." Haqi replied briefly.

"Not that red face, really, is it?"

Hulliyah continued flirting with Haqi until her husband was overwhelmed by her response. Hulliyah then saw the look of a tense face mixed with her husband's embarrassment.

The father was like a white lizard listening in involuntarily pulling the corners of his lips faintly. The father was happy to see his son laugh again like that.

Eating with laughter in fact managed to make Hulliyah twice increase the portion of his meal. He again noticed his son's interaction with Haqi.

Hulliyah's father was a little amazed by Haqi's patient attitude. Hulliyah's father was happy to see Hulliyah eating again greedily.

"I want to take a bath, sister" said Hulliyah shortly after her meal ran out.

"Just a minute, I'll ask you first."

Haqi went into the kitchen to meet his mother-in-law.

There was really no more awkwardness between Haqi and Hulliyah, after they had stayed together for a week.

They adapt to each other very quickly.

"The water is ready." Haqi returned from the kitchen and helped Hulliyah to his feet.

"Sister, I'm healed why is it broken? hulliyah Protest.

"Yes afraid of falling, if held in gini will fall will not hurt."

While walking, they continued to tease each other as if in the house there were no more inhabitants besides the two of them.

The father looked at those who were walking away with a serious look. It turned out that the father was weighing the decision he would take.

-------------

The day was getting late, Hulliyah chose to rest while Haqi checked the state of his car parked far away. Haqi heats up the car engine and checks everything about his car as tomorrow he will go home and use the services of his favorite car.

After finishing with his car, Haqi intended to return to Hulliyah's house. But the scream of someone calling his name managed to make him stop.

The father-in-law called out to him as he waved his hand in front of a small saung of tepa in the middle of the tea plantation.

After confirming that he was the one being summoned, Haqi walked quickly to the saung.

Are you fighting a duel here?

A silly question came to his mind. Does he have to pull out the deadly style he learned as a child while watching a Chinese movie with the main character of two bald boys?

There are still many techniques that have not been practiced by Haqi. Is it time for practice?

When he got to the front of the saung, Haqi stood up to put up the horses on guard if the opponent attacked suddenly.

"Sit down!" said his father-in-law.

Huh huh?

The battle imagined by Haqi did not seem like it would happen.

Haqi obeyed the orders of his in-laws, sitting by keeping a distance between the two.

"Of course sir, I'm very serious" said Haqi steadily.

The father-in-law looked at Haqi in full search. Making sure that Haqi was earnest with his words.

"Are you going to accept all Lia's shortcomings? Are you gonna take care of Lia?"

Haqi nodded with a smile that expanded widely from his lips.

"I love Sypa, I will take care of her and love her whole heart."

The father turned his face straight ahead looking at the expanse of the tea garden.

"I am old, I can no longer look after Lia. Gradually Lia will leave me. After marriage Lia must have rarely visited me here."

The eyes of the father turned soft, it felt like every word he said contained a lot of poison that was ready to turn it off at any time.

"What is this father talking about? I will not restrain the Sypa to meet his family. Your place will not be replaced by anyone including me. A father is the first love of his daughter. I know the Sypa is very fond of the Father, for that Sypa is so obedient with all the decisions of the Father yesterday."

The in-law fell silent on every meaning of Haqi's words.

"When did your parents come here again?" ask the in-laws.

Haqi suddenly looked at his in-laws in disbelief with the sentence he had just heard.

"Is-this is serious?"

"When? Before I change my mind again" said Hulliyah's father.

"Inshaalloh as soon as possible sir, as soon as possible. This weekend ... yes this weekend I will bring Ummi." Haqi was extremely excited at this moment.

"Then your Father?"

"Then go back to Palembang there is work, is it okay sir if only Ummi who came here?" answer Haqi.

"What can I do, it's my fault yesterday didn't take advantage of time."

Uh.

"Everything that happens there's a fate that governs sir."

Haqi caught a regretful stroke from his father's face.

"Sir, I'll go home first. The Sypa is awake" said Haqi.

"Yes there! If you're sick like a child, I'm sorry. So it's this kind of hassle."

Haqi smiled, "it's okay Sir I'm happy to be bothered anyway."

Haqi turned around and was ready to swing his legs away from the in-laws.

"Son Haqi ...." Suddenly the voice of the in-law stopped his steps.

Haqi turned around.

"I'm sorry and all my attitude."

The father nodded with regret.

"There's nothing to forgive I understand what you're feeling." The smile grew perfectly soothing to the eyes.

The in-laws thrust their hands at Haqi.

Haqi greeted him with pleasure.

This is the fruit of patience, the result of pain. In the middle of that tea plantation Haqi managed to win the real fight.

The expanse of tea, the blue sky, and the green grass bear witness to the peace between them.
