LDP S3: The Jewel of the Underworld
Ch. 8 — Dark Aisle.

“Only the entrance why should make a gate this high? Looks like the person who made this gate too extravagant and not how smart,” chirped one of the group members who felt the shape of the gate was a little strange.

“Absolutely. The size of this high door is only worthy of a giant. Lest the owner of these ancient ruins want to scare the enemy with his house. Really a very distorted thought. Haha .. ”

"I wanted to meet this gatekeeper and teach him the basics of building the foundation of a building so that he would not leave behind such a chaotic legacy. Haha .. ”

Such a loud sound of laughter instantly filled this group as it walked through the enormous and majestic gate.

The size of this gate was indeed much higher than the stone walls surrounding it. Generally a door will be much lower than the wall but what is seen in this place is the opposite.

The group leader immediately glanced at his members. “You guys talk while you're in these ancient ruins! Don't just talk if you don't know anything. It would be better if you all just shut up.”

What the leader of the group said was actually not without reason. Because, he suddenly sensed that there was a mysterious energy fluctuation from within the protective formation that was around the gate.

It seems that the words of the members earlier can trigger the defense system of this place if he does not immediately stop. Will the defense system of this place be active just because of a mere mockery? If it is true that way then the person who made this ancient ruins building must be very stubborn and anti-criticism.

“This gate was also protected with a very strong protective formation and the first trigger system was also very strange.” Heilong could faintly sense the strange energy fluctuations of that gate as well. But, he prefers to be quiet because he does not want to be too flashy.

At a glance, Heilong could recognize some of the symbols contained in the formation of the protective order. For example the symbol of the Snow Tortoise on the left side and the Wind Conqueror Eagle on the right side. The second symbol of this Beast was intended to protect this gate from fire element attacks.

However, he was completely unable to recognize what kind of magic formation technique this place maker used to combine all the different magic symbols of that element into an intact magic formation.

This ancient ruin maker must have knowledge of such a profound magic formation. In fact, it was not possible that this person was a magic formation expert who had broken through the pinnacle of the formation law.

After getting a reprimand from the team leader, none of the team members dared to speak when passing through this gate and they were finally able to pass through the gate safely despite having to withstand some strange energy fluctuations that often appeared mysteriously.

“It looks like the road to get to the inside of the ancient ruins is not as easy as I thought,” said the team leader looked around and found several corpses lying around the hallway.

“A place filled with treasures will always save a very deadly danger.” Heilong decided to get into the conversation because he wanted to familiarize himself with the Devil Nation conversation.

“You're right!” The team leader nodded in agreement. “Then do you have a way to pass through this passageway safely? As far as I know all the members of the Zhao family have quite a high skill set in magic formations and the Zhao Clan is also the only Clan that is steeped in magic formations in the Underworld.”

“... ” Heilong instantly fell silent. Because, he himself was not that skilled in magic formations. He even wanted to curse the High God for not finding out more about the abilities that the Zhao family of the Underworld had.

“The magic formation ability I have is completely useless in this place. Because, the magic formation in this place is very ancient. Perhaps only the ancestor of the Zhao family could solve all the traps present in this place easily. Moreover, the magic formation I learned all along was focused more on concealment to support my duties as a spy.”

Heilong displayed a special badge attached to his collar on the team leader and according to the Supreme Gods the badge was only owned by the spies from Underworld.

The team leader narrowed his eyes and stared fixedly at the badge Heilong was aiming at. “Then there is nothing we can do but try to pass through this passageway at random.”

Each footing around the hallway had a different color. And, they all did not know which color had the trap. So they could only try stepping randomly while looking at the results.

“Xin Yu! You advance first.” The team leader pointed to one of the demons that had the shortest body and had the most agile movements in this group. So, had he stepped on a trap, his chances of dodging were far greater than the rest of the members.

Xin Yu obediently stepped straight down that extremely dark passageway.

From his steps, it could be seen that Xin Yu still had a hint of fear in her. However, he did not have the courage to refuse orders.
