Ch. 63 — Zhang Clan.

After meditating for six hours, Heilong resumed his journey of searching for his next target.

Right now all the reserves of the Space Dao power and the Time Dao power within his dantian had been fully restored.

Without any request from Fu Rong, in fact Heilong had also long had the desire to kill the elite disciples possessed by sharing the Demon Clan. However, he did not know where to start and had absolutely no information about the elite disciples of the various Demon Clans.

Yet now, he had so much information from Fu Rong about all the elite disciples of the current generation Demon Clan. If he managed to kill those elite disciples, then the next generation of the Demon Clan would become even weaker.

Heilong finally arrived at a vast desert. There was absolutely no place for him to hide and conduct reconnaissance.

The extremely strong gusts of wind gushed through his body incessantly and sometimes made the body creep because the wind that existed in the Heaven's Path Darkness World was not an ordinary wind but rather a wind formed from the dark Qi.

Ignoring the wind, Heilong continued running westward. He did not need to hide his aura because in this place it seemed like no one had the ability to sense the radiance of the aura created from the Yin Yang element.

After running for two days, Heilong finally saw hundreds of Demon Clan disciples training to form a battle formation similar to a labyrinth.

At the center of the labyrinth stood a gallant man with a tall stature and wielded a pitch-black spear. Such powerful demonic air currents from his body indicated that this man was an elite disciple from one of the Demon Clans.

However, which Demon Clan would allow an elite disciple to bring in hundreds of disciples as bodyguards?

Heilong then opened the old list given by Fu Rong and matched the characteristics of this man on the list of names and he finally got a suitable name.

“Zhang Wei.”

According to the records Fu Rong gave, the Zhang Clan was a Demon Clan that was extremely skilled at setting up a battle formation. Especially a defensive-type battle formation that could confine its enemy because a formation like this was more useful than an attack-type formation that was easily destroyed.

And, this Zhang Wei was an expert at organizing war strategies and was also proficient in the Spear Dao. According to records, in this young age, Zhang had been sent several times by Demon King Zhang to the battlefield to help strengthen the defensive line of the Devil Nation.

“This devil is very smart. It feels really bad if I kill him.”

Heilong intended to capture Zhang Wei alive and place inside the Palace of Light. He hoped that the water of immortality within the Light Palace would be able to suppress the demonic air that was in Zhang Wei's body so that he would have one to train the ancient monsters to form a formation skirmishes.

The ancient monster race and Zhang Wei had different conditions when they were affected by the demonic air poison. The Monster Race was born in a normal state and was affected by demonic air poison, while Zhang Wei was born in a state that had been contaminated by demonic air poison. Therefore, Heilong could not yet ascertain just how powerful this immortality water effect was on Zhang Wei's body.

Heilong then walked towards the Zhang Clan members who were setting up that battle formation and stopped right in front of all of them.

“Who are you and where are you from?” zhang Wei shouted in a loud voice as he saw Heilong sculpt near the battle formation he had made.

“I can't say my name because I'm carrying out a special task given by one of the higher-ups of the Devil Race.”

This Heilong voice echoed in the ears of all the disciples of the Zhang Clan who were setting up battle formations and it was as if it was a form of provocation for all of them. Because, Heilong used his inner energy to vibrate their hearing all through this sound.

Zhang Wei was not a stupid Devil because of that, though, he could guess if Heilong was deliberately hiding his cultivation level because all the Devils that entered into the Heaven's Path Darkness World had to pass through the strict selection of each Clan. Therefore, it was impossible for it to feel if a person who had absolutely no cultivation could enter this small world. And, to infiltrate was also definitely needed a strong enough strength.

“The task given to me is to reduce the population of the Devil Race. In this Underworld there are already too many useless Devils and just squandering the power of the Demon Birth Lake in vain,” Heilong replied staring intently at all of them.

“What do you mean!”

All the members of the Zhang Clan who heard Heilong's reply instantly became enraged and were unable to hide their killing intent.

“It's clear, right? I will select all of you and kill anyone I consider to be a useless Devil.”

Such a powerful aura pressure instantly radiated from Heilong's body and shook this place. However, none of them could guess what cultivation element Heilong possessed.

“Speaking is easy! But before you can kill all of us, you must have the ability to destroy this battle formation that I created. I want to see who will die first. All of us or you!” zhang Wei replied furious at Heilong's provocation.

Without much ado, Heilong immediately dashed around the Zhang Clan's artificial war formation using a time shadow move to search for a gap in this formation and allow himself to destroy it in multiple attacks.

Destroying a war formation of this size in just one strike was a thought that was too much of an ascension. Because, a war formation of this size must have been equipped with multiple layers of defense.

The movement of Heilong while running had made Zhang Wei surprised because he had never seen a demon disciple capable of running that fast. Except, if that Demon was not from the various Demon Clans but rather came from the military camp.

Heilong finally saw a gap in this war formation and that gap his position was constantly shifting at all times and was guarded by a group of Clan Mirids whose cultivation level was higher than that of ordinary disciples but remained under Zhang Wei.

However, Heilong thought again before deciding to break through this war formation through that gap. Because, it was the same as he had entered into a trap that was deliberately prepared by the enemy because the gap was more similar to a gap that was deliberately shown to the enemy.

Heilong then took out the heaven dao sword and used the earth-splitting sword intent to attack the gap of the war formation.

He wanted to ascertain whether the gap he saw in the war formation was really a weakness or just a trap to trick the enemy. If it was the second, then he would have to make his own gap to those war formations to break in and destroy it within from.

Boom ...

The sound of an extremely loud explosion resounded in this place as the earth-splitting sword intent charged towards that war formation and caused some Zhang Clan disciples to bounce back.

A deep enough hole was instantly formed from the gap of the formation Heilong had previously seen and allowed himself to barge in.

However, the hole was immediately repaired by the Clan disciples guarding the side by using a special formation array.

Heilong had no idea what formation array the Zhang Clan disciples were using to fix that formation gap. But surely, the formation array they used to refine the war formation came from the Zhao Clan because in this Underworld only the Zhao Clan was proficient in formation arrays.
