LDP S3: The Jewel of the Underworld

Ch. 19 — Yin Yang Seal.

An extremely majestic voice suddenly resounded in this palace.

Normally, this kind of sensation would only be felt by Heilong when he heard the voices of the Supreme Gods and Divine Beasts alone. However, within this Palace there was absolutely no sign of their presence. Who is the owner of this voice?

“Who are you? Why do you only speak without showing your figure! Can this be considered polite?” heilong replied to that voice.

“How do I show my figure if I myself do not have a form.” A figure of a ball of light slowly began to appear closer to Heilong. “I am but a soul left behind by your ancestor inside this Palace before he left the three worlds and went towards higher ground to pursue the path of cultivation.”

“Holyener?!” Heilong looked surprised.

“I am Xiao Zhao the ancestor of the Xiao Clan that is in the God Realm and the Zhao Clan that is in the Underworld. The understanding of the Yin and Yang theory that is the basis of cultivation is actually the fruit of my thinking in understanding the meaning of life,” explained that figure of light.

Heilong finally understood why the Zhao Clan that came from the Underworld could freely enter all the places within these ancient ruins and had a map to enter the Mysterious World. It turned out that the ancestors from the Zhao Clan were the owners of these ancient ruins.

However, Heilong felt like something was wrong. Why didn't the Xiao Clan of the God Realm get the same treatment? If the Xiao Clan also obtained this mysterious world map then Xiao Hong would not fight with Zhao Chen just to fight over a map that ended up making both lives drift.

“If ancestor Xiao Zhao is indeed an ancestor of the Zhao Clan and the Xiao Clan then why did these two Clans get different treatment? Ancestor Xiao Zhao only gave the map of this mysterious world to the Zhao Clan. Is it possible that ancestor Xiao Zhao is more in favor of the Devil Nation?”

Heilong of course protested loudly because he was part of the Xiao Clan even though until now he had never met the Patriarch of the Xiao Clan who was in the God Realm.

“You are wrong! I have never given any different treatment to any of my descendants. The Zhao Clan did indeed give me the legacy of the Mysterious World whereas the Xiao Clan I gave the legacy of this Light Palace. It was just that the previous Patriarch of the Xiao Clan was less trustworthy and did not pass on any information about this Palace of Light to the next descendant.”

A soul left behind by ancestor Xiao Zhao tried to explain to Heilong so that this misunderstanding would not drag on and make the members of the Xiao Clan hate their ancestors.

“In other words this Palace of Light is not actually inside the Mysterious World,” Heilong said after understanding the explanation of the light ball.

“Really! This Light Palace was indeed outside of the Mysterious World and could only be found by the members of the Xiao Clan through meditation. The key to being able to enter this Palace of Light was the Heavenly Light that was passed down for generations by ancestor Xiao Zhao to the Xiao Clan. This Heavenly Light would be possessed by all the descendants of the Xiao Clan provided that they were able to redeem a certain level of cultivation.”

It was only fitting that Heilong felt that his physical body was very far away from this Palace of Light. Apparently these two places are far apart from each other.

Heilong nodded his head. Because, he himself also had a Heavenly Light in his body. “Do you have any special reason for taking me to this palace by force?”

“What kind of truth? Is there anything that would disturb the peace in the three worlds?”

Heilong looked very enthusiastic when he heard the story of a soul left behind by ancestor Xiao Zhao. He even forgot how long he had been in this place.

“In other words there is a barrier between this World and the higher world. What is it that ancestors want to say?” heilong asked with interest.

“True once! That barrier was the Yin Yang Seal. I purposely sealed this World with the Yin Yang Seal before I went to the Outer World to pursue even higher powers to keep this World safe as long as I was not in this place. However, lately there is a God who intends to damage this Yin Yang seal.”

“God?!” Heilong frowned. He had never expected that there would be a God intent on disturbing peace in the three worlds. “Who is that God?”

“You must know this God because this God is the leader of the Gods. He was the Supreme God, Li Ting. His great ambition in the world of cultivation made him want to damage the Yin Yang Seal so that he could catch up with me going to higher ground.”

Heilong felt struck by lightning upon hearing the reply of a soul left behind by Ancestor Xiao Zhao.

The Supreme God who was supposed to be the peacekeeper in the three worlds turned out to want to damage the peace that exists in the three worlds just to satisfy his ambitions alone.

Is it possible that the kindness that the Supreme God has shown so far is just a falsity?

“It should be Yin Yang seal will not be easily destroyed. Then how did Li Ting break this seal?” heilong asked curiously.

“The Supreme God does not have enough power to destroy the Yin Yang seal. Even the combined strength of four Celestial Emperors would not be able to scratch this seal. However, this seal actually has a key to unlock it and he is currently eyeing that key.”

The soul then explained to Heilong about the power possessed by each of the Celestial Emperors so eloquently as if he was the Master of the four Celestial Emperors.

Heilong was finally reminded of the secret task that the Supreme God had recently given him. “Is the key to opening the Yin Yang Seal the Gemstone of Life that exists in the Underworld?”
