LDP S3: The Jewel of the Underworld

Ch. 23 — Dao.

“Do not panic! Concentrate all your concentration on the element of voidness. The void is the source of all elements. Rejection like this is meaningless in the face of the void element.”

The soul of Xiao Zhao again gave a hint of direction when he saw the aura emitting from Heilong's body start to be unstable but did not lose its strength at all. This was strong evidence that Heilong had already started to panic when faced with the wave of rejection from all the elements present in his dantian.

With the guidance of Xiao Zhao's soul, Heilong began to lock all of his five senses. Only in this way could he truly focus on facing the resistance of all the elements of his own after all there was absolutely no danger within the Palace of Light which was very hidden from the World outward.

Under Heilong's strengthening will, the previously faint elements of voidness began to show signs of an increasingly strengthened embodiment.

The gray color that was in the center of Heilong's dantian grew increasingly clearer and more widespread over time. The pressure emanating from the cosmic Qi compaction spider web that ensnared all the elements also became increasingly stronger to the point of making Heilong's dantian wall tremble.

Heilong was finally able to eliminate all attacks from his element after a fierce struggle for thirty breaths. He also realized that the element of voidness that he had never used in the fight turned out to hold such great power and mystery.

Only by gaining a further understanding of the ability of the void element he had so far, did he already feel that his harvest during entering these ancient ruins was already very profitable. What if he was able to understand about the Yin Yang theory and gain strength from it?

During imagining what advantages he had gained within these ancient ruins, all the elements present within his dantian had fused perfectly into the element of voidness.

The void element suddenly shook strongly and began to show signs of change.

Vortexes of powerful energy appeared at the center of the void element and stirred up every corner of that element. Strangely, however, Heilong did not feel any painful sensations at all. It even felt very comfortable as if meditating in the cool mountains.

Heilong could only observe the void element present within his dantian begin to slowly change. Nor does he know how to stop this change. After all, he did not feel the threat of the void element undergoing change.

A moment later, black and white colors emerged from the center of that energy vortex and began to spread in a certain direction as if those two colors already knew where the suitable place for him was.

The whirlpool of energy present in the middle of the void element finally disappeared after the black and white color covered all the gray-colored surfaces in a certain portion.

“Yin Yang Symbol?!” Heilong immediately ended his meditation.

Heilong was of course surprised how could the Yin Yang symbol appear within his dantian. After all the place taken by that Yin Yang symbol was once where he placed all the seeds of the cultivation element he had.

The soul left behind by Xiao Zhao could not help the grievances he had been pending all along. Because, the time he spent to give birth to the Yin Yang theory was not short. However, he was unable to gain full recognition of the power of Yin Yang and only gained a little enlightenment about Yin Yang which he had spread to all beings living in the three worlds.

A very comfortable sensation enveloped Heilong's dantian as if an extremely heavy burden had been taken away from him even though all the seed elements he had previously had disappeared and were replaced by an element.

However, Heilong could also sense that an element he currently possessed possessed possessed strength that was not inferior to all the elements he had before.

“There is now a good time for you to learn the Dao,” exclaimed a mouthful of soul Xiao Zhao returned to give directions.

“Dao?” Heilong frowned. He often heard this term but he did not understand the meaning behind the Dao words. He then took advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and learn more. “What is Dao?”

“Dao is law ... Dao is principle .. Dao is path ... Dao is source. Dao is something that will determine your path in cultivation. There are many types of Dao in this Universe. However, the inhabitants of the three worlds were only able to comprehend a portion and change the term to Cultivation Element Laws,” was clearly a strand of Xiao Zhao's soul.

Heilong finally understood the reason why he had always felt that the cultivation element law had flaws. If the laws of the cultivation element were a determinant of how strong a cultivator's understanding of the powers that the heavens and earth have born, then why would the number be so few and limited to just the element types alone?

It turned out that behind the laws of the cultivation element there was a Dao that had a wider meaning and seemed to only be understood by a portion of the inhabitants of the God Realm and the Underworld. Because, the inhabitants of these two worlds could have far greater strength than the inhabitants of the Human Realm at the same cultivation level.

“Where should I start studying Dao?” heilong asked with interest.

“All the objects scattered in this room are embodiments of the Dao. Understand and learn slowly. Since you have the Yin Yang element inside your body then you no longer have any restrictions on learning Dao.”

Heilong then walked towards a sword that floated in this space. All this time the weapon he used in a fight was always a sword. So mastering the Sword Dao was his first choice.

The image of thousands of swords dancing in the sky instantly entered Heilong's mind as soon as he touched the sword with his hand.

The thousands of swords were not just pointing at the beautiful movements in the sky. However, the heirloom swords would occasionally attack Heilong with quite deadly attacks and of course also very fast.

However, the sword attack also gave Heilong his own advantage as his understanding of sword techniques increased every time he managed to withstand the attack.
