JOHN THE MERCENARY

JOHN THE MERCENARY
CHAPTER 010 - LAWN MOWER.

John continued to step up and carried a shabby bag and shirt in his hand.

John's move comes to a halt when he sees a middle-aged man with his wife confirming his car is breaking down.

John approached the man to help him, hoping to get help from him.

Without further ado, John saw the car's engine, which left the old man puzzled.

“You know how to fix it? Just go if you don't know!”

“Why didn't you call your insurance?” ask John.

“I wouldn't be here if I had,” replied the man.

“How about tow car?”

“If I had the money to call a tow truck, I would have had insurance.”

“Gosh. You're right.”

John began to put down his backpack and asked for gloves and equipment.

“Can I have your gloves, Sir?”

“You know how to fix it? You sure you won't break it?”

The man was very worried and something happened to his car.

“Gosh. You're talking as if this car could get damaged. Quickly give me your gloves.”

“Good. It.”

The man gave John his gloves.

After John manages to justify the old man's car breaking down, the old man gives John a ride and will take him to his place of residence.

John sat in the back of the car and smiled, having gotten help from others.

Arriving at John's house where the middle-aged couple lived, John got out of his car and saw the weeds that filled the yard.

“Where is your lawnmower?” without John.

Looks like John will help him to mow the weeds that fill the grounds.

“Grass cutter?”

“Yes. Grass cutter. You don't have any?”

“I will prune the weeds that fill this yard.”

“Gosh. Unnecessary. No need. I don't have any money to pay you.”

The old man left John because, he thought John would ask him for a reward.

“I don't need your money. Gosh.”

“What is your warehouse? It must be there the lawnmower.”

John saw the warehouse and was about to enter it.

“Come, stop!!!”

The middle-aged man instead shouted at John who wanted to help him.

“I'll give you food. You can sleep in my house, then you can go tomorrow.”

The old man entered the house following his wife and left John.

John went into the house and sat at the door. John heard the old man's wife crying, but he didn't know what to do.

Moments later, the man who owned the house came to bring some potluck to John.

“I'm sorry. This is all we have. We only eat to survive these days.”

“Nothing, Sir.”

John did not seem to mind the potluck food given by the old man.

“Sorry I scolded you earlier.”

The old man stood up apologizing and left John, so that he would eat the food he had been given.

Later that night, John awakens from his sleep, having nightmares about his dark past.

John let out a long sigh, then took some drinking water to calm himself down.

As he was about to go back to sleep, he heard the wife of a house owner crying in his room.

John peeked out from behind the door of the slightly open room, but did not know what to do.

John got out of his room and went out into the courtyard.
