A young man was riding his motorcycle recklessly on the road. Arion, he vented his anger on the night streets he was walking through.
In his full-faced helmet, he swore annoyed as much. He did not want his parents to know of his anger when he returned home, so he preferred to let out his current anger, on the streets.
Various swearing issued, along with the speed of the vehicle that is getting faster. The very high speed of the motor, making other road users feel threatened by safety. They swore harshly at Arion who would certainly not hear him.
In just a few moments, Arion's motorbike had arrived at his house. He immediately put his motorbike into the house, without saying hello first.
"Arion, are you home?" asked Fabian who was sitting together with Intan in the living room.
"Yes, Dad," replied Arion without facing his father.
"Why else are you, Arion?" tanya Intan with a slightly raised voice.
Arion did not answer the question from mother. She would rather walk into her room, without saying anything to her parents.
"Ck! Why does he always come home angry?" gerutu Intan with his sewot saw Arion walking into his room.
Fabian let out a sigh seeing his son look not okay. Then he got up from his seat and said,
"I'll talk to him."
"I'm coming" Intan said as he moved from his seat.
"Don't. You better wait here. Let me talk to Arion as a fellow man" Fabian said, preventing his wife from coming with him.
"But I-"
"Darling, you usually talk to him. Now let me talk to him" Fabian said with a pleading gaze at his wife.
Intan sat back in his place. He sighed and said with a sewot,
"Ask the truth, why does he always come home with such a face."
Fabian smiled and nodded his head. After that he walked to his son's room. The door of his son's room came, exclaiming,
"Arion! Please open the door!"
Many times Fabian knocked on the door and called out Arion's name, to open the door for him.
"Arion! Open door! I want to talk to you!" fabian shouted back, knocking on the door.
Inside his room, Arion, who was lying on his bed, was now disturbed by the sound of knocking and exclamations from his father.
He got out of his sleep, and walked with steps that felt very heavy. Slowly she opened the door to her room. Fabian was standing right in front of the door.
Without saying anything to his father, Arion immediately went inside his room, leaving Fabian still standing in his place.
The man, who was Arion's father, walked in and followed his son, and closed the door to the room, so that they would be more comfortable speaking.
Fabian sat down near Arion who was sitting on his bed. They just shut up. A little later, Fabian began to make a sound.
"Arion, what's wrong? Why do you always see you getting angry when you come home from work?" asked Fabian slowly.
Arion just looked down and was silent. He refused to say anything to his father. He was still trying to pervade Adelia's words.
"Don't you just say you're meeting Adelia?" ask Fabian again, as if he were investigating.
Not the answer that Arion gave his father. He let out a sigh that felt very heavy inside his chest, when he heard the name of the girl he so desperately wanted.
Arion took his breath back. He looked at his father and said,
"You, Dad. We had a fight."
Fabian chuckled and patted Arion on the shoulder, saying,
"Dating is like that. A little bit of a fight, after that it's better."
"The problem is Adelia, Dad," Arion said with a sigh.
"Adellias? What happened to Adelia? Is he mad at you for something?" asked Fabian while frowning his forehead.
Arion nodded his head. He again let out his breath which still felt heavy in his chest. Then he said,
"He wants to end our relationship, Dad."
"terminating? Break up mean?" asked Fabian, as if he could not believe what he was thinking.
Arion nodded his head again in response to a question from his father, saying,
"Arion should be how, Dad? Arion is not willing to part with Adelia."
It was Fabian's turn to breathe. He looked at his son and said,
"Why did he ask for a break up? Are you guilty?"
"Arion doesn't know, Dad. Adelia says that she doesn't like Arion's changes. He also said many things about Arion's attitude that he did not like. Arion was confused, Well," replied Arion with a sigh.
Fabian rubbed his son's back. He really felt sorry for her. However, he wanted his only son to get happiness.
"Arion, try introspection yourself. Who knows if there is a point in Adelia's words. Women are very difficult to understand. They are very sensitive and do not want to be blamed. But that doesn't mean we, men aren't wrong. Even often we as men are not aware if we have done something wrong" Fabian said with a faint smile.
"So, there's a chance that Arion is wrong, Dad?" asked Arion with curiosity.
"Yes, right. Try to remember. There is no harm in you introspection yourself, " replied Fabian while nodding his head.
Arion silent. He thought of all his attitude which made Adelia disappointed in him. In his heart he promised to change his attitude, if indeed he was guilty.
"Self introspecting? No need! It's delicious, there's no way Arion's wrong. Arion always complies. He's a good boy. So, it's certain that Adelia's guilty. Maybe he always felt right, because Arion seemed to love him so much, so he always obeyed all of Adelia's requests. So, Arion does not need self-introspection. Just tell Adelia to introspect herself. Don't even tell our children to introspect themselves. It's not fair that's his name!"
Suddenly there was a sound from the door. Unbeknownst to Fabian and Arion, he overhears all the conversations of his father and son.
"Mom, why is Mom there? Wasn't Mom watching TV?" fabian asked with a smile, trying to melt the tension between them.
Intan walked in to Fabian and Arion, saying,
"Mom wants to know your conversation. Can't you know that?"
"Bye, Mom. It's perfectly fine" Fabian replied with a smile on his wife, trying not to make her angry.
"Yes, then, don't blame Arion. Don't ask him to introspect. Arion must make Adelia need it, not vice versa, so that Adelia does not feel able to trample on Arion's self-esteem" Intan said with his rent.
"Mom, stop. Couples need to understand each other. If one is angry, the other must be calm. So, if one is hot, the other should be able to cool down. In essence, couples must understand each other," Fabian said very gently and carefully, so as not to offend his upset wife.
Arion listened to the conversation between his father and mother. He watched his father who was so patient and painstaking with his mother. In his heart he said,
I think I should be like Dad.
