capter eighteen: the prophet luth

Prophet Luth was a man who believed in Abraham. He emigrated from Iraq to several places. Prophet Luth was sent to a place called Sadum (Sodom) in Jordan. He was sent to that people whom the Qur'an calls transgressors.

The prophet Luth was sent to the Shadum, the most wicked. They like to do abominations on the street, their morals broken. The prophet Luth invited them to Allah, but his people frightened him and threatened him. "O Luth, if you prevent us, you will be expelled" said the people.

Allah Ta'ala says:

"Kaum Luth denied the warning. Verily, We sent to them a storm that brought stones (to them), except the house of Luth. We saved them before dawn, as a favor from Us. Thus do We recompense those who are grateful. And indeed, he (Luth) warned them of Our punishment, but they denied My warning." (Sura al-Qomar: 33-36).

When Allah was about to destroy them, God sent angels to five villages. Some say each village has 4,000 inhabitants. Because the Angel came in a beautiful form, the people of the Prophet Luth tried to approach the handsome figure. At that time the Prophet Luth tried to hinder his people, but failed.

The prophet Luth himself did not know that the handsome human figure was an angel. When his people tried to enter, the angel said let them in, we are not human. The wife of the Prophet was among those who were persecuted with her people for allowing abominations and wrongdoing to occur. As a result of her transgressive actions, the people of the Prophet Luth received a terrible punishment. Allah Ta'ala turned over the land in the land so that the land that was at the bottom of the upside down was at the top.

Allah Ta'ala says:

"Kaum Luth denied his Apostle, when their brother Luth said to them, Why do you not fear?'. Verily I am an Apostle of faith (sent) to you, so fear Allah and obey me. And I ask you no reward at all for that invitation; my reward is none other than the Lord of the worlds. Why do you go to the kind of men among men, and you leave the wives your Lord has made for you, even you are the ones who transgress. They said, "Hi Luth, if you do not stop, you are among the expelled". Luth said, 'I hate what you have done." (QS. Shu'ara:160-168)

The scholars said the five villages were lifted into the sky of the world and then thrown stones. That is the punishment that Allah has given for this heinous act. The place of the Prophet Luth is the Dead Sea (Dead Sea).

The Dead Sea is a lake that stretches between Israel, Palestine and Jordan. At 417.5 m below sea level, it is the lowest point on earth. The dead sea has the highest salt content of any sea in the world. The lake is called the Dead Sea because no life forms can survive in this salt water.

"People who swim there can float. So if you go there should be sad (remember the punishment of Allah to the Prophet Luth), but people instead make it a place of selfie" said Sheikh Ahmad.

Before the coming of the torment, Allah Ta'ala told the Prophet Luth that in the time of Fajr there will be sent down a torment for his people. The angel Gabriel lifted the village up into the sky until his voice sounded. His wife was among those convicted of allowing the abomination to exceed the limits.Na'udzubillah min dzalik.

The Qur'an does not explain in detail the story of Prophet Luth. It is said, when the village was destroyed, Prophet Ibrahim US at that time was 99 years old. Regarding the interpretation of dreams, if someone dreams of the Prophet Lut then it will be

The Prophet Luth US was a brave man who fought against the Sodomites who contained despicable people. The Sodom people are very far removed from the teachings of Allah SWT because they are same-sex enthusiasts and also promiscuity. There is a lot of wisdom that can be learned from the story of the Prophet Luther AS.

Prophet Luth was made an apostle when Abraham was alive. The two had broadcast the religion of God together in Egypt. They are also excellent breeders.

Until one day, God asked Luth to leave Egypt for Sodom - which is currently along the northeast, the Dead Sea. Luth had the hard task of awakening the deviant Sodomites.

When he first set foot in the land of Sodom, Luth was shocked by the behavior of the people. Ranging from rampant theft to the most despicable is liking the same sex or homosexual. The Sodomites were the first people in the world to commit such heinous acts according to Al-A'raf verse 80 and Al-Angur verse 28.

"Luth was a prophet sent in the place of a people who did despicable behavior, like the same sex,"

Luth continued to show the way of truth patiently without ever retaliating or being angry with the Sodomites. Luth warned that Allah's retribution and punishment will come for the despicable.

Valiantly, Luth kept calling for the truth. Luth believes God will always be his protector.

Day after day, Luth's persistence paid off. One by one the people of Sodom began to believe and renounce the evil deeds.

However, that number is still relatively small compared to the Sodom who still perform massaat. Instead of listening to Luth, they threatened to kill Luth. They also challenged Luth to bring about a punishment that was often delivered.Nabi Luth then asked for God's salvation and protection. God sent two angels disguised as human beings to come down to Earth. The angel was in charge of bringing down the torment for the people of Sodom.

The angel disguised himself as a handsome man who met the Prophet Luth. Luth took the man to his house in secret to avoid the Sodomites.

However, the wife of the Prophet Luth even betrayed for the sake of obtaining the treasures of the world. He told the people of Sodom that there was a handsome man in his house.

The Sodomites also raided the house of Prophet Luth to meet the man. After the scuffle with the Prophet Luth, the torment of Allah came. Allah has lost sight of the Sodomites. They could not see and left the Luth residence blind.

Two angels disguised themselves then convey the meaning of his arrival to Luth. The angel told him that God would inflict punishment on the people of Sodom at dawn. The Prophet Luth and the faithful were asked to leave Sodom immediately.

Prophet Luth and his followers were preparing to leave. However, the wife looked lethargic. The prophet Luth ordered his followers not to look back during the journey from Sodom.

Slowly, the Prophet Luth began to tell the Sodomites that their behavior had gone astray. However, Luth was rejected, threatened, and expelled from Sodom. Luth was also persecuted by the Sodomites.

The Prophet Luth US had the heavy duty of Allah SWT to awaken the Sodomites from his despicable deeds.

The Prophet Luth asked for the salvation and protection of Allah. God sent two angels disguised as human beings to come down to Earth. The angel was in charge of bringing down the torment for the people of Sodom.

The angel disguised himself as a handsome man who met the Prophet Luth. Luth took the man to his house in secret to avoid the Sodomites.

Prophet Luth and his followers were preparing to leave. However, the wife looked lethargic. The prophet Luth ordered his followers not to look back during the journey from Sodom.

However, the wife again violated the Prophet Luth. He was restless and unsure of the punishment that would come down and separate himself from the Prophet Luth. When he left Sodom, then the Prophet Luth realized his wife was not there.

The angel told him that the wife was a traitor and returned to Sodom and entered the ranks of the infidels.

When dawn came, God brought a strong earthquake with great winds and hail. Allah destroyed the city of Sodom with despicable people.

"And We have sent down to them rain [stones]; then see how the sinner will end" reads the Koran of Surat Al-A'raf verse 84.

From the story of the Prophet Luth can be taken a lot of wisdom and relevant lessons to date. The courage of Luth is one example that is exemplary.

"A very brave prophet said the wrong thing. There are not many people who dare and forbid evil at this time" said Ustaz Hilman. Hilman also highlighted the generosity of Prophet Luth. The Prophet Luth remained patient and willing to give to those who did not like him.

"His protection and generosity are indiscriminate. That was the Prophet Luth even though the Sodomites did a heinous deed" Ustaz Hilman said.
