A long time ago, thousands of years long before man was created. After Lauhful Mahfudz, earth, sky, heaven, hell were created. A time when angels and demons coexist, in peace. The devil was part of the angels. His face was very handsome, his wings were black, his temper was very good, intelligent, diligent, polite, also very obedient to God. Always worship with sincerity, because of his obedience Satan became a favorite creature of God at that time.not only God alone, the Angels on Earth, Heaven, and Arsh were very loving and respectful. The devil is very clever, with his cleverness it does not make himself arrogant, and he remains diligent in studying in the Library of Heaven. All angels know that not just any Angels are allowed to read the Lauhful Mahfudz, the Devil once had such special permission.
In a book mentioned, because of its various privileges, God and the Angels gave him Laqob (nickname, honor call) up to seven names namely, “Al-Abid”, “Az-Zahid”, “Al-Arif billah”, , “Al-Wali”, “At-Taqin”, “Al-Khodim”, “Al-Wira’i” (Ikhlas). The Angel in the First Sky prefers to call him by the name “Al-Abid”, which means Servant of God. Although all beings are basically Abid (Hamba Allah), but at that time only Satan who bears the title “Al-Abid”, the most obedient servant of God's belief.
The Angel in the Second Sky called him “Al-Zahid”, the most godly being. Time has proved, for 80,000 years since the creation of Satan with the angels Thowaf continuous in the Temple of Prosper, Ka’bah in the sky. After that, for 40,000 years the Devil served as the Leader of Angels in Heaven. Then Satan resigned from his position and became Counselor for 20,000 years. Satan has also been worshipping with the Arsh Angels for 100,000 years, when we know that only high angels can ascend to the Arsh of God. Not only that, the Devil has also worshiped and gathered with Karobiyin Angels and Spiritual Angels for 100,000 years each. It does not cause Satan to be arrogant, his heart is sincere and sincere in worshiping God.
The Third Angel of Heaven agreed to call him “Al-Arif Billah”
Because of his closeness to God, the Fourth Angel of Heaven called him “Al-Wali”, the lover of God. When God calls “Ya Waliy” (My Beloved), no creature dares to answer except Satan, because they know only Satan is meant. At that time, there was no one closer to God than Satan.
His extraordinary devotion to Allah earned him the title “At-Taqin”, The Obedient Expert. For there is no commandment of God that he does not execute. No sin he ever committed. Nothing he does except with God's permission. So the Sixth Angel of Heaven called him “Al-Khodim”, the Servant-Trust of God. The Angel of Heaven to Seven did not want to lose and called the Devil with the title “Al-Wira’i”, the Most Wira Creature.
So faithful and trusting of Satan to God, nothing can make him betray God. There is nothing he worships but Allah. Nothing can replace God in his heart.
Until Adam was created, all the angels protested to God. “O Lord, why did You create a creature that will only result in bloodshed on earth?”. Satan with his wisdom and obedience is silent.
God replied, “I know better, and You don't know.”
The Angels finally realized their mistake and apologized.
God created Adam from the ground and breathed His Spirit to make the land alive. Then God commanded his angels to bow down to Adam (not bowing down to worship but bowing down in honor). The angels obeyed and bowed to Adam. Only one angel refused to bow down to Adam, the Devil. The black-winged angel remained standing, his heart in turmoil. With his obedience and loyalty, he wanted to keep his heart that there was no God but Allah, There was nothing worthy of worship except Allah, There was nothing worthy of respect other than Allah, because it is basically a creation of God. If he should acknowledge the greatness of God for creating a creature as great as Adam, then it is Allah who is worthy of worship, not Adam. His heart wants to rebel, “wai my beloved, My lord, so strong are you telling me to worship to my fellow creatures?!”.
With full humility and reverence, Satan replied “You created me from Fire and Adam from the Land,” means, we are both Your creatures, O God. Forgive me, O God, in my heart there is no one worthy of worship but You, O God. How can God glorify the recently created Adam more than we who have been obedient for so long?
(in private, where are there officials, former presidents who want to serve themselves to a “bokah wingi afternoons”? It is only natural that Satan would not bow down to Adam.)
The devil in his heart asked, O God, is it wrong for me to be jealous of Adam because you love Adam more. Satan knows that man is not a strong creature. Man is a very weak creature in the eyes of Satan. The devil also felt that a creature as weak as Adam did not deserve to be respected or have such honor.
It is not wrong for Satan to answer that, because of his closeness to God. While the angels could only fall silent, they were shocked to see that. Only this time was Satan so obedient that he dared to oppose God. Well, although not completely against it. Just one command. However, it seems that it is enough to anger God. In a wise manner, God commanded Satan to return to his original place of Hell. Revoke all the honor and prerogatives of Satan.
Seeing that, the angels simultaneously pleaded for mercy for Satan. However, Satan patiently and patiently accepted God's decision.
His curiosity in man made him dare to ask God for permission to tempt man, because everything he does is always with permission from God. O Adam let us prove, are you really worthy of my respect? Do you really deserve to be deified by God?
God also understood Satan's curiosity and allowed Satan to test Adam and his descendants.
Because Satan knows that God has the nature of Ar-Rahman and Ar–Rahim. Satan also knows that Allah is Most Just. Only God knows all the truth. And Satan still maintains the truth that he believes.
Never think that Satan is an enemy of God. Satan was created by God to test us, to be our opponent, to be our enemy, do we really deserve an opponent as great as Satan? We should be ashamed of the devil.
Though Satan has been cursed from Allah and cast out of the heavens, it cannot erase his obedience to Allah. Satan continues to worship God and always asks God's permission to test people. The sincerity of the heart of Satan makes it indifferent to reward. Satan worshiped and obeyed not expecting reward. To Satan, testing and seducing people is worship. Satan never protests even though he does not get the reward for ALL his worship, even he must return to hell. While we, if we are honest, we worship because we expect a reward or heaven, has been given a reward is still not obedient to God.
