Chapter 26: Presenting the Award
As Gu Jin recalled this detail, he looked at Mu Ming Cheng meaningfully.

Perhaps his curious gaze was so clear that it caused the man to accidentally look at her. He adjusted his gold-framed glasses and the corner of his mouth moved upwards.
Gu Jin looked at her thin smile but did not dare to act surprised.
He recalled several chapters in the novel that depicted the background of Mu Mingcheng as a side character in the shadows.
He is a king who has fought and survived in the most dangerous YM tropical forest in the world, with his hands covered in an unknown amount of blood. This man is certainly one of the deepest hidden cards in the hands of the country.
Few people know his true identity, though he has now been dismissed from military service and has returned home. With the support of his family from his mother's side, coupled with a harsh and ruthless way of doing business, Mu Mingcheng managed to grow his business through rain and storm.
“Quick path.” Gu Jin felt his arm being pulled away as the lady of the house etiquette reminded him: “We have to give an award.”
He shook himself from his thoughts and stepped onto the podium where the awardees were seated.
Coincidentally, he ended up being paired with Mu Mingcheng.
As he approached her, Gu Jin's legs and stomach threatened to tremble in rebellion, but she walked up gracefully to hand him the certificate.
Standing in the middle of the platform, Mu Mingcheng gently gave a few words to the leaders of the school next to him, making them admire him.
He doesn't really care about them. Instead, his gaze focused on the figure of the woman swaying.
The beautiful red cheongsam covered her perfect waist circumference. As she walked, her slender white legs were visible from the slits of the dress on both sides.
Mu Mingcheng had to admit that this was a very beautiful woman.
And when she looked down, she saw her white, soft legs, she recalled the high heels nailed to the backs of her legs!

He smiled as he asked her, “Oh, this is Chairman Lin, what's up?”
Due to his discomfort of wearing high heels, Gu Jin's face was slightly pale and his attempt to smile inexplicably seemed to arouse the compassion of his audience.
“I came to give something to my friend,” he said. Tong Lin was surprised at how pale his face was and he said with a frown, “Why are you here?”
Gu Jin did not miss the slightest bit of worry that flashed deep within Tong Lin's eyes. A warm feeling arose in his heart and he explained to him the reason for being there.
In the main plot of the novel, this person never appears. According to Gu Jin's former memories, he had a good impression of this man. Moreover, Tong Lin's handsome features were in line with Gu Jin's current male tastes. If he had not experienced his predicament now, he would have been eager to talk to her.
Unfortunately, the pain in his ankle reminded him that he had to change his shoes immediately!
After saying goodbye, he went straight to the dressing room.
Tong Lin's eyes followed his figure as he disappeared into the distance. She bit her lip when she realized that she had forgotten to ask her opinion about the magazine she started.

She walked into the dressing room and pulled out a small backpack before heading to the restroom to clean the makeup off her face.
The water kept slowing down from the tap and the toilet lights were shining brightly. Gu Jin pulled a towel to grind his face before staring at his reflection in the mirror.
Suddenly, he was stunned.
The mirror reflects another figure.
He had an attractive and gentle face, with a jade-like elegance that could only be found in a rich young master.
The stranger leaned against the bathroom wall with his hands folded in front of his chest. Her dark green tie was loosely tied around her neck, revealing the mark of a collarbone and giving her a seductive and sexy appearance.
His dark suit was draped over his arm and the sleeves of his white-collared shirt were folded three dots to reveal his smooth, flowing muscles underneath.
Under his gold-framed glasses were dark-colored pupils that were as deep as an abyss.
The pair of eyes continued to stare at Gu Jin's reflection calmly..
The words 'charming' and 'romantic' could describe this man's appearance thoroughly.
Sure enough, appearances can be deceiving.
“Master Mu?” Gu Jin suddenly turned around as he called his name doubtfully.
If one listened carefully, they would see that the man gritted his teeth in annoyance but in a manner that was almost undetectable.
Who exactly was Mu Mingcheng?
In terms of disguise, his qualifications based on his previous profession would place him as a camouflage expert among his peers.
Mu Mingcheng lowered his head and remained silent as he carelessly played the item in his palm.
