I Refuse to Be a Supporting Character
Chapter 14: Gu Teng (1)

Gu Teng is now in his third year of high school and he is facing an important turning point in his life.

In order not to offend or distract her from her studies, former Gu Jin has been coming home less often over the past year.

Because their parents are both intellectuals, no parent believes that men are better than women. Seeing their children not getting along, they began to feel helpless over the situation and planned to reprimand Gu Teng, but they were stopped by Gu Jin.

Although the real Gu Jin was confused as to why Gu Teng felt so offended by him, he still cherished his sister very much, and attributed his actions to the heavy pressure he had endured in school. As his older sister, he never blamed her.

Gu Jin actually visited their home today after being away for so long; no wonder Father Gu was surprised.

“Teng Kecil, your brother is back.”

Gu Changsheng loudly called his son from outside before entering the house.

He had not even finished his words, when suddenly, the 'tap tap tap tap' sound of quick footsteps rang out in the hall.

Gu Jin's eyes sparkled; a beautiful young man with slightly curly hair flashed past him and sat on the sofa in the living room.

Although she was familiar with her appearance from the host's memories, her sister's good looks were enough to shock her.

Gu Changsheng frowned and scolded the young man with a stern face, “Gu Teng, you saw your brother coming to visit but you still did not greet him.”

“Where is my brother? Why don't I see it?” Gu Teng said with an innocent face; he continued to laze around the sofa while twirling his curly hair with one hand.

“Omong empty what are you talking about? Who taught you to be so naughty?” As someone who devoted his life to education, Gu Changsheng was unable to spend much time with his son and daughter, but that did not deter him from finding time to teach his son about manners.

Gu Teng laughed cynically and replied, “Rules, etiquette, you and mother really appreciate them and even raised a wayward daughter. Do you want to raise me to be a blind follower as well?”

If he had to live like that, it was better if he did not follow the rules.

Gu's father was furious after hearing his son's reply, but Gu Jin pulled up his sleeve.

He knew who Gu Teng meant.

Before Gu's parents realized it, they discovered that their daughter had become mature and dignified while losing the carefree aura of an intelligent girl.

Fortunately, their relative, the Cheng family, had a pure, sweet, and very attractive eldest daughter.

Hoping that Cheng Xin could help improve the temperament of their daughter, the couple often brought the two cousins together.

In the future, years after the death of their daughter, Gu's parents had many times questioned this decision. If they knew that Gu Jin's relationship with Cheng Xin would bring disaster to their daughter, they would distance themselves from the Cheng Family from the very beginning.

Gu Jin sat face to face with Gu Teng and asked in a pleading tone, “Teng Kecil, are you not going to welcome me?”

Gu Teng narrowed his eyes, looking very focused on his hair as he fiddled with it again.

“Well, well, I'll be back to school.”

After waiting for a few seconds, he stood up disappointedly and walked away slowly.

Gu Teng fiddled with his hair faster, causing his curly hair to cover his forehead in a mess.

“Unfortunately, I can't hand over the game I bought for you,” he said with a sigh.

One two three…

“Stop, who told you to go?” Gu Teng was unwilling to call. He stood upright with his hands folded and his face displeased.

Both Gu Jin and his younger brother were born with tempting peach-shaped eyes; if Gu Teng's eyes didn't twist nervously towards the exit so clearly, it was clear, his disgusted expression at her would be more convincing.

Since he could only see her from behind, Gu Jin's victorious smile was hidden from view.

If it was his original host, he would be sad whenever his sister closed her eyes to him.

However Gu Jin who transmigrated and had obtained the memories of the host could catch a glimpse that the boy's pouting face had some flaws.
