"Jack the River."
The name gives a bitter impression on Astrea's memory, not excessive if everyone knows the name.
"So you're a perverted man who likes to do profanity on women."
At the words of sarcasm, the man named Jack the River laughed.
"What you know about me is all a lie, I don't know how it happened but rather than doing such a disgusting thing my hobby is much more interesting."
Jack created a black hole in front of him and as he pulled something from there a head could be clearly seen in his hand, no blood dripped from there in other words it had been decapitated some time ago or even a few days before.
Astrea clicked her tongue as the head was thrown at her. Emotions filled his head but not to the limit he lost his mind with anger.
"I like to collect heads from powerful enemies, if you're strong then you'll end up like that too."
Astrea threw the head to the side before stepping forward, she turned the dagger in a quick motion and charged straight at it. Jack saw the glint before his eyes which he held perfectly through his sword, while he maintained the balance Astrea twisted himself giving a kick to his body making it penetrate several houses with a slight blast of dust.
Slowly the sun rose and the darkness that had previously felt had disappeared was replaced by the fog that enveloped him.
"It looks like time is on my side, how can you handle it."
Jack uses the area that is now changed as an advantage for him, basically the kind of fight Jack does more like an assassin does, he sneaks up near Astrea. The tip of his sword sent out well which slightly grazed the outer side of Astrea.
Before being able to avenge Jack has vanished.
"You really make me sick."
Fire gushed from Astrea's body and slowly the mist around her began to vanish attracted upwards by the hot air.
"What?"
Just as Jack was shocked, a knife floated up to him before it could hit him Astrea jumped back because something had appeared where her enemy was, and there was something, a black robe floated in the air with a scythe in his hand.
His whole body is a repetitive bone.
"You? So that's how you kill everyone, you're a Lich."
"Frightly so."
Lich is a dark wizard who has attained immortality through the understanding he knows but as payment he will have such a terrible form.
Jack The River was a good name for him.
Jack floated quickly with a swinging scythe in his hand, Astrea held it back with her dagger and he was thrown, as the next attack coming from above Astrea dodged it then moved sideways to give a counterattack.
The dagger was ready to cut Jack's head off.
It was broken into pieces.
"Free, that knife class can't hurt me. At least you have to use a weapon that has been baptized from the church."
Jack directed his one hand where a black shadow gripped Astrea's entire body, a shout heard from her mouth.
"This is the curse of death."
"Dam."
With the power of fire magic Astrea slightly burned the shadow that enveloped him but it was not until the stage he could escape perfectly. Jack raised his scythe high and prepared to decapitate his enemy as a voice struck him.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that."
"You?"
Souma's sword slashed Jack's arm easily, the black shadow disappeared and with a slight leap Souma managed to bring down the helpless Astrea.
"Souma?" take Astrea slowly.
"I felt a strange energy so I came here to check it out, you've been fighting for quite a while so your abilities aren't as good as they used to be."
"Whispering, I just let my guard down."
Jack is in the conversation.
"I don't know who you are? But that woman has got my death curse she'll be dead in just a few hours."
"Eh, really?"
Souma stretched out his hand and a golden light enveloped Astrea then vanished after the curse was lifted.
"A man can use holy magic, interesting... The church can't possibly happily teach you magic like that, right?"
There was a rule that only women could join the Church, yet Souma learned this long before he was in this world.
Souma got up and turned to face his enemy who tilted his head.
"It's not that you're the one who goes around the battlefield and foolishly offers drugs in the middle of a fight."
"You know me?"
"If you don't get it wrong, you're the one with a thousand drugs called Alchemist gods."
"Everybody's overdone I'm just a simple drugstore owner who can fight a little, you know."
