Chapter 245: The Final Fight Part One

Souma popped the katana into his hand and in an instant his body was thrown away quickly.

It was an unexpected movement from Vanitas where he shot light from his spear.

Souma came out from the collapsed wall behind him. It was not something powerful force to be able to kill him.

"The basis of cheating, Souma is not ready and you attack him" protested Lugunica.

"In a fight that's what happens if you're off guard, why don't you use that sword on your back?""

"Lugunica has her own role."

"I think it is like that," replied Lugunica doubtfully, although in fact she also wanted to be used by Souma every time.

Souma made it out of the cathedral while Vanitas chose to smash the windows and fly over the sky before landing in front of Souma who had sent wind blades at him.

The blade was held with one hand.

"Truly unmoved Souma, he's clearly stronger than when I fought him."

"Obviously" he answered briefly.

Souma appeared through teleportation magic, in front of Vanitas who stood like a sturdy high cliff, he swung his sword with a quick slash.

Through the spear, Vanitas held him down without any difficulty even his two legs did not actually touch the ground.

"For humans you are fast, unfortunately I am a god, this kind of attack is really ridiculous."

Souma received a counterattack, he blocked it and the tip of his spear grazed his shoulder making him shed a little blood.

Souma leapt back, along with the wings belonging to Vanitas stuck under his feet and then created a tremendous explosion, his body covered with dedu although so Souma still stood there without suffering a slight damage.

His shoulder was healed as well.

He turned his hand and said.

"Inferno."

A red flame gushed towards Vanitas, an invisible wall holding the fire to stop it.

"Just for nothing, magic like that can't."

Instead of stopping Souma continued to fire his fire, after the 10th shot, the walls were smashed apart.

"What's? It turns out that it can be destroyed anyway, is that really the power of a goddess?" lugunica.

"I thought you didn't know the rules of the goddesses, they could descend into this world but on the condition that half of their strength was sealed even in certain situations they could only use a third of their strength."

"That's impossible."

Vanitas who was now starting the attack, while flying he swung his spear, Souma parried to the side. As he escaped the sharp end he kicked Vanitas in the stomach until it shot up.

Several magic circles were zigzagged in which Souma used as a foothold to ascend, he pointed his sword with a directed stab at Vanitas, unfortunately Vanitas caught him with one hand next slamming him to the ground with a deafening sound.

Vanitas' body doubled and each of his shadows created a giant sphere from the tip.

Souma fired fireballs at some but they only disappeared like air before being recreated.

"Feel my divine power."

The balls were dropped simultaneously creating dozens of balls of light that engulfed everything.
