Dhatu stared at the food pans presented in front of him. Everything there is a favorite food. Starting from gulai chicken, sambal terasi, shrimp sambal, and various other dishes. In the past when they were together, Alvin often came to his house with various cooking ingredients. Then the two cook happily, while both Dhatu's parents are only asked to wait patiently. Weekends are often filled with positive things. Unlike the dating style of young people their age, Dhatu's parents like Alvin and often defend the man if they argue small.
But yes, that is how a soul mate. Although it looks harmonious and fine, the two are still separated because they are not fooled. No matter how much time they spend together, if not destined to have each other, they will eventually let go. No matter how much liking they have, in the end, there is a time when the fighter feels tired in the fight he is facing.
It was that close the relationship between the two. But unfortunately, Dhatu is not like Alvin who is accepted by his family. Both of Alvin's parents actually hate Dhatu and are often cynical when he visits. Even then, Alvin could only hold his hand, asking Dhatu to stay strong by his side. But what is the result of all his efforts in strengthening the heart? Nothing, the man still chose to leave because he was not worthy to join a rich family like the Alvin family. He is only the poor who is considered to like the rich treasure.
"Gee ... You know very well my wife's taste. All this is my wife's favorite menu," said Dirga staring in awe at the food presented, then the man turned to Dhatu, "All this is your favorite food right, dear?" ask Dirga.
Dhatu smiled clumsily and nodded at a glance. She did not want to tell her husband a lie, so she decided not to comment and just nodded. Dhatu increasingly could not stand their togetherness, he wanted to feel like he pulled Dirga away from that place and no longer hurt all the regrets that Alvin tried to convey with all his actions that began to look unreasonable.
"It's all just a coincidence. Thank goodness that what I present suits your taste," said Alvin glancing at Dhatu at a glance, while the woman pretended to be unaware of the gaze of the man before them. She would rather look at her husband, than see the pair of contrite neutrals that the man showed her.
"Thank you very much Mr. Alvin. We really feel so pampered with this welcome."
"I should have done all this to my special guest" Alvin stared at the pair of humans in front of him in turn.
"We are flattered" said Dirga, smiling next to Dirga.
"Please enjoy the dish," said Alvin invited the two, "all of this is me who cooks himself," continued Alvin with a smile.
Dirga looked at Alvin in disbelief. "Wow .. is not just handsome, independent, and rich. Turns out, Mr. Alvin is also talented in cooking."
Alvin laughed a little. "You praise me too much" he said, turning to Dirga, "there was someone who loved cooking there so much that I loved learning to cook even though many said the smart guy did not look macho," alvin.
"Well .. must be a very special person, huh?" ask Dirga curiously.
Alvin smiled faintly. "Yes, the woman who has ruined my world. The woman who made me fall in love over and over again. The woman who made me feel complete" said Alvin, her eyes softening.
Alvin agreed. "Yes, Sir. We are among the lucky ones" Alvin said, "what does Bu Dhatu think, the man who can cook is not macho?"
Dhatu smiled faintly and shook his head. "The stereotype of society that makes it all seem unnatural. Cooking is not required as a woman's duty. Men have the same rights. I love the cooking world."
Dirga smiled listening to Dhatu's reply. The woman is not only beautiful and also good, but her thoughts are broad and her way of thinking makes Dirga fall in love. Unknowingly, Dirga likes everything appropriate about Dhatu. The way she talks, the way she looks at the world, and the way she expresses her thoughts. He has fallen in love with Dhatu which is full of simplicity.
"Pak Dirga is really lucky to have a wife like Ms. Dhatu. He's perfect" muttered Alvin as he stared at Dhatu gently.
There is no reproach of Dhatu who can be found by Alvin and his fools easily he let go of the woman. Now, there is no point in him lamenting the sadness or regret that exists. The woman had been far away leaving him. Forming a vacuum in his heart that was no longer able to find comfort and perfection. The pieces that have been lost can no longer be returned. Alvin was aware of that, only, his heart did not want to understand the situation that was no longer the same. His heart was unable to accept the harsh reality before his eyes. They want to repeat their old stories.
"I'm a very lucky man. Finding Dhatu among the billions of people in the world and being able to fall in love with him is the most beautiful gift of my life" Dirga said, taking Dhatu's hand, holding it tightly, and peeping the back of the woman's hand.
The two looked at each other, they seemed to be in a space of time that was stopped in such tender love. Love that is too deep so that it is no longer possible to come to the surface. It is fortunate that people who are met, fall in love, and have each other.
Alvin looked at the two enviously, his heart slicing. It should be him who is on the side of Dhatu. Grasping the woman's hand and staring at each other in love.
"I'm welcome to go to the toilet first" said Dhatu saying goodbye.
"The toilet is next to the house" Alvin said, pointing to Dhatu using his index finger.
Dhatu thanked her, said goodbye to her husband, then went to his destination. Dhatu came out of the minimalist house and found a small mushroom-shaped building next to the house where they ate dinner last night. Dhatu once joked to Alvin and wanted to make a bathroom outside the house, in the form of mushrooms, things that are now realized by Alvin. But unfortunately, there is no meaning left behind all the things that men should have done in their past.
Minutes by minutes have passed. Dhatu comes out of the bathroom and is shocked to find Alvin waiting outside. The man smiled at her, but Dhatu's heart began to be filled with deep fear at the sweet smile the man showed her.
"We need to talk, Tu!" the man stared at Dhatu full of supplications, while Dhatu's heart was pounding erratically. Not in love, but fear in his heart.
