Mira invites Dhatu to the meeting room next to their room so that the incoming phone call traffic is not so crowded. There were many questions he had to ask to kill his curiosity. About Dhatu which is too privileged by HR.
The woman crossed her chest and looked at Dhatu scrutinizing, while Dhatu who was sitting in front of the woman could only wring the end of her shirt, trying to ward off the panic that had penetrated her chest. Mira took a deep breath, then slowly swallowed her. He folded his hands on the table and leaned a little forward. The woman stared fixedly at Dhatu, Dhatu gulped with difficulty. He forced a smile as soon as their eyes met each other.
"This is just between us" said the woman half-whispered, "how do you know Mr Sanjaya?"
Dhatu raised both eyes and looked at Mira in surprise. How could the woman before him ask him about her father-in-law? Was it during his absence that there were strange rumors circulating?
"Why suddenly ask Mr Sanjaya?"
"I heard he put you in this company. You're the one who keeps a lot of people in this room who don't like you."
Dhatu nodded. Now he understands why so many people don't like him. Not only his closeness to Krisna, but many people feel himself the mistress of a boss of their company. He is extraordinary man with his thoughts. Surely because there are HR staff who like to gossip and spread the news out. Moreover, the addition of his last cut was directly taken care of by his father-in-law.
"I can't force people to like me, Ma'am." Dhatu smiled faintly, "i also don't care about what they think. Mr. Sanjaya is a person I respect a lot."
Mira nodded in understanding. "I just want you to not misunderstand me. I called you here, not because I was jealous or wanted to find out about your relationship. Just wanted to warn."
Dhatu smiled faintly. He knew very well the hidden meaning of the woman's words. Mira never cared about people's business, all she thought about was looking for face and career. Hearing the news that he is close to a boss, it must make Mira think to make Dhatu as his asset.
"Thank you for the warning, Ma'am," Dhatu said as he stood, "it's a break. Can I rest, Mommy?"
Mira nodded. " Of course."
The two shared a smile as they walked out of the room. Dhatu parted ways with Mira as soon as he found Krisna already waiting for him in front of the room. The man threw a warm smile and walked over. Krisna is not rich, but his handsome face makes the man much liked and has always been a material grab for many women. Dhatu is lucky to have someone who looks after him like an older sister like Krishna.
"Look, we're eating, Tu!" krisna said as she stood before Dhatu, "what do you want to eat?"
Dhatu smile. "What a hell, Mas. What matters is sincerity."
Krishna laughed a little. "That's ludicrous. Your lunch was given to Rina, right?"
Dhatu nodded. "Udah, Mom. I don't want to waste food."
Krishna chuckles. "Yes, Tu. I know you very well. How about going to the office deket mall?"
Minutes by minutes have passed. Dhatu and Krisna have arrived at the mall, both deciding ramen as their lunch menu. Both are fun to choose the menu, sometimes laughter adorns their togetherness. Both of them were unconscious, a pair of eyes were observing them from a distance.
The man crouched behind the table and peeked in the distance. He hardened his jaw to see his woman smiling so happily together with another man. Just blame him for being too diligent and following Dhatu into his room this morning. Observing the woman and suddenly blind jealousy saw the closeness of the woman with the man who had always been seen close to Dhatu, until he canceled their lunch. He ruffled his hair when he saw the other man serving Dhatu affectionately. Give him all the extra seasoning to eat ramen and casually serve Dhatu. Looks so spoiling the woman.
"Sir .. It looks like they look so close. The man did not even hesitate to serve Ms. Dhatu with rest." the voice beside his ear was that of Drew, a personal assistant who knew their marriage and often took care of all Dirga's personal needs. Not like a secretary in the office who only takes care of office work, Drew is already like Dirga's closest friend.
The anger in Dirga's chest intensified listening to the full word of the provocation. Without even being told, he could see the closeness between the two.
"Yes, I can see it for myself" said Dirga annoyed.
A waiter looked at those who were hiding suspiciously, then walked over. "Is there anything we can help you with, sir?" the young woman asked.
Dirga cleared his throat, Drew smiled clumsily as he looked around, making sure Dhatu did not find their whereabouts. Dirga mended his clothes, lifted a little chin, and walked away from the place without waiting for Drew who was suddenly drunk to be left alone.
"Sorry, Ma'am. There was an item that fell so we both looked for it" Drew said, "we go first" he continued, peering behind her back, making sure Dhatu doesn't see the shameful behavior of his boss spying on his own wife. The woman smiled and Drew immediately pursued Dirga's steps.
"Everything is safe, sir. Are we going back to the office now?" ask Drew who found Dirga who was leaning the body on a pillar.
"Why are they so close?" dirga asked half a whisper, as if asking the question to herself, "do you think they have or have had a special relationship?"
"Do you want me to investigate?"
Dirga. He believed in Dhatu. "I'll take care of it. We won't be back before Dhatu leaves this mall." the decision is already unanimous, he will follow both and pay attention from afar.
Drew let out a huffed breath. Their detective game still has to go on. In fact, Drew had told him that Dirga should not do this silly thing just because of jealousy, but he was scolded, so there was no other way, other than following Dirga's will.
Dirga occasionally peeked, waiting for Dhatu to finish eating. A few minutes later both of them came out of the Japanese restaurant, both seemed to tell a casual story and occasional jokes of laughter adorned the togetherness of the two. Dirga settles down, trying to become a ninja, hiding behind objects or walls, while Drew follows the man without protesting. Many eyes that look at Dirga and Drew strangely, to make Drew embarrassed, but not with Dirga who seemed to lose his mind.
He clenched his hands when he saw Dhatu and Krisna stopping by the doll shop, and the man bought a keychain with a brown teddy bear toy on Dhatu. A simple gift that made happy laughter adorned Dhatu's face.
Ahh ... I'll be crazy about you soon, Tu!
