Dhatu immediately came out of hiding as soon as he saw Dirga's car approaching, like a thief who was afraid of being caught. He was tired of answering the questions of those who knew him and happened to run into him by chance. The number of people who passed by, making Dhatu have to tell this to Dirga and change his place to wait. It is better to ride public transport until the front of the complex and wait for Dirga there, rather than having to take big risks like now. He got into the car as soon as Dirga stopped the car.
"Not long for her, is it?"
Dhatu smiled faintly as he shook his head, Dirga again set his eyes on the road ahead and continued on his way.
"Sorry, there was an impromptu meeting" said Dirga without turning to Dhatu, while the woman observed him in silence.
Dirga's conversations and attitudes are too normal, all these sudden changes make Dhatu frightened. Did he do anything wrong? Or there is a hidden meaning behind the man's attitude towards her.
"Tu ... Why daydream mulu?" dirga asked looking at him.
Dhatu smiled faintly, then shook his head. "I'm curious."
Usually, the man does not want to hear his voice, does not want to see himself, then why now the man invites him to speak first? He was really curious.
"About what?"
"Change your attitude."
Dirga laughed a little. "Don't you like it?"
"Like. It's just, too suddenly."
Dirga nodded slowly, as if understanding Dhatu's anxiety. "I realize it's better for us to work together, rather than hate each other" said Dirga, "you're guilty of making my life a mess, but it's not your fault. Supposedly, I could also have convinced Mama to accept Kana to be my wife."
For some reason the words of the man made Dhatu's heart grievously sliced. The kindness he showed, made Dhatu almost forget the fact that the man did not belong to him. There was another woman who filled the minds and hearts of the man beside her. Kana who is beautiful and also fashionable, she cannot be compared with the almost perfect woman. It is just a grain of dust, which will disappear once the wind blows it away.
"So ... What's your plan?"
Dirga seemed to think for a moment. "Pregnating you once I can convince Mama that Kana is the best for me. You'll get your freedom back, and so will I. I know, this marriage must be burdening you, too."
The terrible pain that Dhatu felt, like being sliced into pieces. Strange, because slowly Dhatu no longer feel burdened with their marriage which was initially full of compulsion. She began to enjoy the role of Dirga's wife who secretly prepared all the needs of the man and watched from afar. Baby, that guy doesn't feel the same way. It was so easy for the man to say the word divorce, like wanting to end the house-game of a pair of little boys.
"I'll make a big compensation for our divorce later. You don't have to be afraid" Dirga said again when she received no response from the woman beside her.
Dhatu smiled faintly, then directed a glance out the window. He laughed at himself inwardly, mocking the folly of himself which was almost caught up by the encounter that Dirga created between them. Why make peace by giving him the right as a wife? If in the end she is still a shadow wife who is not so important and does not need to be considered there. It can be thrown away once the goal is achieved. He was nothing but a tool for the man.
Stupidhead!
