It still feels difficult for Mike to understand that the reason Aldi keeps Verlita in this company is because of him. Guilt had crept into his mind since then. He never thought that his existence secretly paying attention to Verlita would be the deciding factor in Aldi's decision towards Verlita.

'I will do whatever it takes to fix it, ' Mike repeated this sentence in his heart.

Mike made that decision with a firm heart. He knew that the fight would be difficult, but he was ready to face it. Moreover, he had failed for many years to erase his feelings of love for Verlita.

"I'll talk to Kiara and try to explain the misunderstanding between us. I will try to convince him that Verlita is not a threat to our relationship" Aldi added before Mike left.

"That's great." Mike Sahut.

"I'll also have Verlita mutated from our headquarters. I'll make Verlita no longer visible around us. I hope you've finished what you need to finish with Verlita, Mike." This should make Aldi clear to Mike.

'Use this last chance well, Mike.' Aldi continued in his own heart.

Mike nodded in understanding, then left just like that. Mike is relieved that Aldi sounds determined to mend his relationship with Kiara. But Mike was still overwhelmed with guilt and feelings towards Verlita who had been making his heart depressed because it could not be delivered.

Mike seemed to be walking to his office, but Mike instead went down the stairs to the floor below his office. Mike traced the hallway where Verlita's office was located for various reasons as usual to just want to see Verlita's face even for a moment. Moreover, Aldi will soon make himself no longer able to see Verlita in this office.

Mike and Verlita have been in their sweet relationship for quite a while in secret. No one knows that the two are in a relationship. Mike and Verlita are comfortable with that. For both Mike and Verlita, there is no need to let others know that they are very close and affectionate with each other.

Unlike Mike who until now can not forget how warm the relationship they both intertwine. Although they haven't known each other for years, Mike knows Verlita inside and out. Verlita, who was not until a year into a relationship with him, has controlled all of Mike's heart until now.

Mike passed through the hallway to Verlita's office. Mike walked slowly with a pounding heart. His heart was turbulent and trying to guess whether he could meet the idol. Mike turned to the right where his Verlanya office was.

"Deg" His heart seemed to stop beating. A pair of innocent eyes of Verlita looked at him directly towards her eyes. In a split second, Mike felt as if the gaze belonged to Verlita who used to know him. The gaze of Verlita who loved him as much as Mike who still loved him so much.

Mike was stunned and speechless looking at Verlita's pair of eyes staring at her from behind the window of her office room. It felt like Mike ran through that window and hugged Verlita. But the gaze did not last long, Verlita first turned her gaze away from Mike and moved clumsily. Mike could tell that Verlita was misbehaving after their gaze just now.

A little wish lit up in Mike's heart, 'Could Verlita remember her feelings for Mike first? or even remember a little bit of Mike's shadow in his past?' This little hope suddenly lurched in Mike's heart.

Mike stood in the hallway, stunned by that brief moment. Though hesitant at times, his hopes resurface, making him convinced that there may still be a way to restore their relationship. She feels a strong urge to confront Verlita, talk to her, and perhaps remind Verlita of the wonderful memories they shared.

With a pounding heart, Mike walked towards Verlita's office door. He tapped softly, but the voice startled Verlita and sounded like thunder in her ear. The door opened, and Verlita stood there, a mixed expression between clumsy and curious.

"Can I help you?" ask Verlita politely. Verlita keeps the courtesy, however, Mike is still his superior.

"Oh, sorry to interrupt. Are you busy?" Mike was looking for a reason to talk to Verlita. his brain was trying to think hard in order to get Verlita to chat elsewhere and make sure if maybe Verlita remembers Mike.

"Sephenanrnya is indeed being done sir. But if you have anything to say or order, go ahead." Verlita sounds formal and professional. But Mike was sick of Verlita's tone. Mike misses Verlita's lover more.

"Yes, I really need your help with a few things. So please come to my office if you're not too busy with what you're doing." Mike felt that the orders of the superior would be more powerful than to invite him to talk alone for personal reasons. And Verlita also agreed.

Now Mike is back in his study with a heart as light as cotton and hope soaring.
