Behind the Empty Barrier

The Saint is seen as an immortal entity and pillar of security within the community of witches, not fighters, or someone who interacts with the functions of the everyday world. The Saint's abilities are essential to the structure and organization of the witch society. They have been around for centuries and were responsible for teaching the basics of magic that eventually evolved into the modern culture that surrounds them.

The Saint was the most powerful barrier user among all magicians, yet it was clearly still 1st class below a grand mage. The Saint created and maintained four pure barriers that increased the impression of demons and obstructions created by the assistant manager of the academy. However, The Saint was non-combat and did not use magic to fight. As far as fighting goes, Madara tells his allies to regard The Saint as a non-factor. Although it was believed that The Saint could pose a threat to mankind once they evolved and their sense of self diminished, The Saint maintained their self-awareness through the power of will and barrier.

Before Madara's arrival, Ares explains to Ino in front of the Saints that he is the one who must face Madara alone. Ino warns him against this because the result is almost 100% certain death for him. Ares argues that it makes sense for him to leave first, so that he can take out Madara's demons and make her reveal details about her Magic Techniques. He hopes Madara can open up his space expansion, which will give Ino a chance to attack.

Ino reaffirms that Ares will die if he goes through with this plan, but he doesn't care. He'll be satisfied, provided Madara is killed.

Returning to the running timeline, a fight was going on, and it was obviously only for the one-sided as Ares was unable to even land a single blow on Madara. On the other hand, Madara maintained his lead with little effort.

Amidst their fight, Ares asks Madara what his plans are for Arka. She assumes Madara saved more for Arka because she noticed him all along, while ignoring Ares and the others.

Interestingly, Madara told him that: "The role of Arka is only as a container. As long as Arka and Onimaru are alive, the demon chain will never end."

This renews Ares' anger, for Madara makes it seem that Arka's life is the cause of all that happens. He rejected this idea and continued to attack without success.

"I know that you're just a pioneer. But unfortunately, I won't use any other magic technique other than the devil's manipulation technique to fight a little insect like you."

[Devil Manipulation: A technique in which the user can summon and control naturally formed demons for a desired purpose. Due to contracting with Sathanas, Madara was able to use this technique as if it was his own innate technique. Thanks to this technique, Madaea proved to have acquired many demons as her personal familiars. He had deployed them to fight against many opponents and bombarded them with various different magic techniques that every demon possessed.]

"You know why? Because you're a failed product."

Madara viciously attacked Ares with a horde of demons, stomping his face to the ground while emphasizing what it means to be a Special Class mage. "Being a special grade magician, that means having a special ability to overthrow a country all by yourself."

"While you're, you've even failed in overthrowing your own feelings."

It was easy for him, to defeat a first-rate mage like Ares. Ino sees that Ares has fallen, seemingly completely defeated, but decides it is not yet time to attack. "Yet. Not yet."

When Ares looks like he's about to lose his torn clothes and a body full of blood and wounds, he creates a miracle.

Blood Conversion: Ares' ability allows him to convert soul energy into blood. As long as Ares had enough soul energy, he could prevent his body from dying from blood loss. This makes it able to emit literal blood waves without experiencing significant dysfunction in its appearance.

After that, he launched a technique :

Slicing Exorcism: Releases sharp blood that flies rapidly through the air and slices off Ares' target. He was able to mold it into a long blood stream with a wide range to hit or mold it into a rotating spell for a single attack.

All that Madara avoid using his demons.

"My only chance... It's negligence!" The rate of attack from slicing exorcism left behind traces of blood particles. The particles then form a sphere, a sphere that will be the next attack. "Supernovas!"

"Indo..." Ares' body weakened and fell out of the empty barrier with the help of the Saints who controlled the barrier itself from the outside.

"Inos. The owner of the strongest fist." Inner Madara.

Ino was at a special grade rank, which meant he had an incredible volume of soul energy greater than a grade-1 mage. He was extremely adept at manipulating his soul energy and skills according to his rank. Ino can easily switch between his innate techniques, reversing techniques, and space anti-expansion techniques like simple domains.

Ino's innate technique allows him to give virtual masses to himself. The mass added to Ino's attack gives him devastating destructive power, capable of easily exorcising special-level demons.

"Gravity." Inner Ino. "So it's Gravity. Madara has other magic techniques besides demon manipulation and that is Gravity. When Ino wants to attack Madara, a powerful attack hits Ino down to the trauma. Simultaneously, the empty barrier that locked them away was all removed by The Saint. Resulting in the destruction of Madara's space expansion.

"Dismantling the empty barrier and expansion of my space at the same time. You guys are so stubborn." Madara. "But it's a pity, you're late."

Ino looked so weak on the floor with blood covering his skin. His hand was crushed and broken, his eyes missing one.

"Just give me the king of men. The rest I don't really care-"

"Piercing Blood." Corrugated blood attacks, able to reverse the situation.

The attack hit Madara's head until red blood came out of his head.

As Madara focused on Ares, Ino got back up and kicked him in the face.

"He didn't put a mass on his kick, but on my leg?!" Inner Madara, when he realized that he could not move his legs.

With the physical strength already enhanced by the flowing red Scale, Ares punched Madara in a barrage. However, the impact was not so great that they believed that only Ino's physical attacks could have impacted Madara.

Ino refocused his Massa on boxing, but it was a fatal mistake for both of them.

Because Madara's gravity magic technique had recovered.

"Damn! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! Shit!" Inner Ares.

When Madara survives the ambush, Ino quickly deduces how he managed to avoid the fatal blow. He also realizes Madara will die if his technique is at full power and still cornered.

While Ino can compensate for the brain battles with highly experienced witches like Madara, he even makes mistakes. Ino not only belittles Madara in his strategy with The Saint, but when Ino tries to take advantage of the time lag in Madara's ability to manipulate gravity, he considered his techniques to be powerful through any resistance from the demonic Manipulation. Although this was a safe assumption, it was reckless and turned out to be wrong, which Ino himself realized and admitted.

Ino's body is now split, and is lying on the ground.

As Madara was about to walk away, Ino clasped his feet.

Even in defeat, Ino quickly improvised a maneuver to take his opponent down with him in a last-ditch effort to do what was necessary for the greater good.

After receiving even Ino's strongest attack, Madara again rose above the ruins of the building in torn clothes and a body full of blood.

"Reversing technique?" Ask The Saint.

"Gravity from before is the actual reversing technique. The magic technique engraved on me is actually an anti-gravity system. I used my body as a space to raise the time-lapse limits of the technique on activation time and unstable results." Madara. "The power that should be able to destroy a single world ends up failing because of your barrier and your own desires."

Madara enters a room, where the human king is in hibernation. "Is killing you a wise choice?" His monologue.
