Code 810: Corpse On The Hill
Chapter 24. meets Romeo again and retrieves his DNA sample

Detective Egan stopped the car and parked it right in front of Romeo Soeratman's house.

Both detective Egan and detective Keiko were silent for a moment in their car while looking at the situation at the house of Julian Soeratman and his son, Romeo.

“We go straight in or wait for Romeo to come out?“ ask detective Keiko.

“We wait a while here,” replied detective Egan while sipping the coffee they had bought while heading to Romeo's place of residence.

Then detective Keiko opens a romance novel that she bought a few weeks ago and has not been able to finish because she was hit with a murder case this time.

Meanwhile, the detective Egan still continues to supervise the house where Romeo lives while continuing to enjoy his coffee is still warm.

Detective Egan glanced at the watch on his right hand which showed it at three in the afternoon.

“We are here almost half an hour,” detective Egan told his partner.

“It looks like Romeo won't be out of the house today,” detective Keiko retorts while closing his novel.

“How about we go in?“ detective Egan asks his partner for his opinion.

“Bby,” Detective Keiko replied while putting the unfinished novel she had read into the car drawer.

The two detectives got out of the car and walked towards a large gate that was tightly closed. Detective Egan rang the bell around the gate.

A well-built man with a fierce face and wearing a security uniform met them through a small door in the corner of the gate.

“There can I help?“ ask her with a hoarse voice.

“We want to meet Romeo Soeratman. Is he home?“ ask detective Keiko.

“What's the need with him?“ ask security.

“We're from the police. We need to talk to Romeo,” Detective Keiko said.

“He is not at home,” replied to that security.

“Then whose car is it?“ detective Egan asked while pointing at a sports car parked inside the yard.

“Why do you look inside?“ asked the security while trying to cover the door with his large body.

“I can see everything from here. How could I not see?!“ detective Egan is getting upset.

“Better you guys go from here!“ security said harshly.

But detective Egan still did not want to budge and tried to meet Eomeo until there was a commotion between detective Egan and security.

It turned out that the commotion was luring Romeo who was preparing to go and meet them outside the gate of the house.

“What is this? Why is it noisy here?!“ hardik Romeo finally stopped the commotion between detective Egan and security at his house.

“Sorry Mr. Romeo. This guy wants to force his way in,” replied that security.

“Forcing entry? A lie! We just want to meet with you but this security is holding us back,” replied detective Egan did not want to lose.

“Indeed I advised that no one who carelessly can enter here,” said Romeo defending security who guard his house.

“You heard?!“ security said it felt good.

“We are here just to ask for your help Mr. Romeo,” detective Keiko said.

“What kind of help?“ ask Romeo.

“We need your DNA sample,” Detective Keiko replied.

“Of course you are on the list of suspects,” replied detective Egan with a strange face.

“Have you guys checked my alibi?“ romeo asked in an angry tone.

“Of course it is. But they say you came late in the meeting that time,” replied detective Egan.

“Can I not be late in a meeting?“ ask Romeo.

“Of course it does not matter if there is no murder case involving you at the same time with your delay,” replied detective Egan.

“I have an alibi as well as witness more than one. You have no reason to suspect me,” Romeo said.

“Then give us a sample of your DNA so that we are absolutely sure to cross you off the list of suspects,” detective Keiko said, handing over a bag of DNA sample collection tools.

“What if I don't want to?“ ask Romeo haughty.

“We can take you to our office and still force you to give a sample of your DNA there,” replied detective Egan while showing the warrant he had from the beginning he got from his superior, mr. Brox.

Romeo snatched the warrant and read every well-written sentence and finally gave up on the pressing situation this time.

“Give me that tool,” Romeo said.

“Please,” Detective Keiko handed Romeo a bag of DNA sample collection tools and without hesitation Roemo took it and he turned his body around.

“Where do you want to pack Romeo?“ detective Egan asks when Romeo will step foot.

“It would be better if you took your DNA sample here,” detective Keiko said holding back Romeo's steps that would go inside her house.

“I'll just pick it up in my room. I was worried my dad would see,” Romeo said.

“Wouldn't it make your dad suspicious if you went into the room and came out again?“ detective Keiko said.

“Or do you want to take someone else's DNA and put it in that bag?“ detective Egan said as if he underestimated Romeo.

“You don't talk carelessly ya!“ Romeo raised his voice again.

“Really bad not being accused like that!? So to avoid misunderstandings between us, it would be better if you take a sample of your DNA here, in front of us,” said detective Egan.

“We can also help you to take a sample of your DNA,” detective Keiko said.

“Then do it. Take my DNA,” said Romeo as he threw the bag containing the DNA sample collection device at detective Egan.

Detective Keiko took the bag out of his partner's hand and began to open it and carefully disperse the contents. Then detective Keiko asked Romeo to take a sample of his DNA.

“Sorry, open your mouth,” detective Keiko ordered Romeo and obediently Romeo opened his mouth. Let detective Keiko wipe some of Romeo's mouth and tongue to mengunpengkapkan DNA.

“Already?“ ask Romeo.

“Already sir,” replied detective Keiko while tidying up the bag that now has a DNA sample belonging to Romeo, their number one suspect.

“Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Romeo Soeratman,”, detective Egan said with the most courtesy.

“Bawakilah the tool and it will show you that I am not sorry for Tania's death,” he said full of anger.

Detectives Egan and Keiko smiled without replying to Romeo's words which looked very angry.

Then Romeo got into his luxury sports car and the car was immediately out of the yard of the luxurious house after the security in the house opened the gate.

The sound of the car engine roared as if angry as the master who was driving it. And within seconds the sports car had disappeared from the sight of the two detectives even though his voice was still faint.
