Chapter 59. The ex!

Robert did not look tense, even though today is the culmination of his struggle in gaining public trust. All the ways he has taken either through official campaigns, political safaris, social activities, to black campaigns.

The man looks confident that he will win to beat the only opponent in the fight for the number 1 seat in the country. Even with his arrogance he forbade his personal assistant not to see news broadcasts.

They headed to the city center which became one of the polling stations. He deliberately chose the place in order to celebrate the victory after the quick count came out. Although it was a temporary result, Robert did not worry because he had placed his believers in the state election institution.

Robert did not care anymore, as long as he could be the ruler, he was able to do everything. Just manipulating is not difficult. Killing the barrier alone he could do, let alone just pour some money, not a troublesome thing for Robert.

After the car stopped, Venus and Morgan along with their men who were in another car immediately came out. Robert doesn't know if Morgan has crippled the entire security section working on him and replaced it with Morgan's men.

"We'll see the situation first." Venus before leaving the car.

Robert nodded calmly. He was observing the circumstances outside, it seemed that the masses were coming in a little more than he had imagined. Strangely enough, they were watching something through a videotron.

"While waiting, I want to watch the news this morning." Robert asked his Assistant to turn on the tablet and watch the news of the object.

A video of the event became hot news until it covered up the news of the re-election. Robert opens a famous app specifically sharing videos with a frowning forehead. The video, titled 'The Truth', filled the search page.

The man then chose one of the official channels belonging to a television station. And he was surprised because the video was also uploaded on the channel he was heading to.

"What video is this? Why is it so viral?" Robert grew curious and decided to watch the news.

As soon as it rotated, Robert's body stiffened. He did not watch the video until it was finished. Robert's face reddened in anger, the Assistant sitting in front of him swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. He heard the video before Robert closed it.

From the inside, Venus rushed to the car. As soon as Venus entered, Robert immediately grabbed her hand.

"Look!" Robert handed the tablet to Venus. "Abigail used a hidden camera on his body." Robert was filled with anger.

"I've used a camera detector. That's very unlikely." Venus berkilah's.

"If that's not possible, how could the video exist even spread out?!" Robert's tone began to rise.

"You! Quickly put together a narrative that convinced the public that I had been slandered." In his anger Robert asked the Assistant to clear his good name.

"Have you killed that girl?" This time Robert looked at Venus anxiously.

"You want to see it?" Venus answers Robert's question with an ambiguous question.

"That's it!" Robert shook his hand. "What matters is that the girl is dead."

Robert was silent for a while until he finally smashed his fist into the ceiling of the car. "Luo Li is a jerk! It's dead but it's still a hassle!"

"Tu….Mr.." Great-grandson of Assistant Robert.

"What else?!" Robert looked at her.

The man in front of Robert did not answer. He stared out the window tensely and continued pointing out with a trembling index finger.

Robert followed the direction of his assistant's finger and was flabbergasted that the crowd outside had already stormed into his car.

"Quickly.." Robert's tongue felt faint because he no longer saw Venus sitting next to him. Even the driver was not in his place.

In another corner not far from Robert's car was parked.

Sarah's been forced out of the car by Rayn. With trembling legs, Sarah stands in flanks by Rayn, Zico, Abigail and also Darren.

He closed his mouth with both hands while watching the video through a videotron. And suddenly the video changed with live view.

A person wearing a hidden camera on his body walked up to a car.

"Look!" Robert handed the tablet to the person wearing the hidden camera. "Abigail used a hidden camera on his body." Robert was filled with anger.

"I've used a camera detector. That's very unlikely." A woman's voice was heard in response to Robert.

"You! Quickly put together a narrative that convinced the public that I had been slandered." Robert gave the order to his Assistant who seemed to be starting to get scared.

All the circumstances in Robert's car are clearly visible from the camera mounted on the woman's body.

"Have you killed that girl?"

Robert's question succeeded in making Sarah scream while smothering her own mouth. This live broadcast turned out to be done to strengthen the truth of the first video so that Robert could not avoid it anymore.

Sarah's heart was hammered, she was so frightened that her legs felt no longer strong to support her body. His breath became short and hunting. Cold sweat started flooding into his body. Many times she crumpled her own dress until her knuckles looked bleached.

"You want to see it?" The camera owner asked without answering Robert's question.

"That's it!" Robert looks to shake his hand. "What matters is that the girl is dead."

Then the man was silent for a while until he finally smashed his fist into the ceiling of the car. "Luo Li is a jerk! It's dead but it's still a hassle!"

And the next second the camera carrier darted quickly out of the car leaving Robert and his Assistant. The show is over.

Sarah cried when she saw the crowd swarming Robert's car. His body slumped to the ground. Then with trembling hands he held Rayn's feet.

"Please, I'm sorry." Sarah pleaded with a loud cry.

Suddenly I heard a loud cheer. They all turned to the source of the voice.

Sarah gasped, it was clear Robert's car had been toppled and the man's body with his Assistant was lifted up by the mob and paraded. Sarah screamed because Robert was left with only his underwear.

Soon the police and the national army arrived using a lot of vehicles. They are sent to secure a situation that is increasingly heated to make the existing officers overwhelmed.

Abigail stared at all those events with a faint heart. Darren who was by his side did not let go of the slightest hug. Abigail further buried her cheek in Darren's chest while watching how Robert's half-naked body was paraded by the mob.

His tears slowly came down, he did not know whether to be sad or happy. He didn't know if he should be relieved. He did not know if the steps he took were right or wrong. What he felt his heart ached again, it felt pain.

Abigail tried to take a deep breath. He felt a lack of oxygen. His chest was even more tight accompanied by a throbbing head of pain. His whole body felt pain.

Darren tightened his embrace. He turned away Abigail's face so that the girl would no longer witness the unpleasant event. And a second later Abigail cried in Darren's arms.

Not long ago, several people in police uniforms approached them.

"Good morning. Sorry for the inconvenience. Mrs Sarah Zee, you have to come with us to the office. You will be examined as witnesses to the murder of Mr. Luo Li, Mr. Jonas Li and Mrs Bella." One of the officers handed Rayn a piece of paper.

The man lifted Sarah who was hugging her legs even more.

"No! Nah! I don't want to!" Sarah's screams hysterical.

A few police women intervened. Zico, Abigail and Darren pulled over to give them space.

"Don't take me! I'm not guilty!" Screaming Sarah again.

"Just as a witness." Rayn tried to persuade.

"No! Nooooooo!"

Sarah roared as some policewomen hugged her then pulled her hard. Even Rayn staggered until a policeman propped up the man.

"I beg you! Abigail, help! I-i'm sorry! Helpme! I'm your mama's best friend." Sarah looked at Abigail with tears falling.

Abigail moved her face away from Darren's chest field and looked at Sarah reluctantly.

"former!" His words are full of emphasis.

Sarah's body was getting weaker hearing Abigail's answer. His strength was also incomparable to those who attracted him. He was finally unconscious.
