ASSISTANT CULUN

ASSISTANT CULUN
Chapter 47. The Warmest of the Incomplete Family

Abigail was amazed by the paintings found in the dome of the library. Coupled with the number of books that fill each shelf along the wall is also the middle of the room. In various places there are chairs and sofas in various forms that can be used when reading.

They stepped across the library and arrived on the opposite side of the door. The householder's uncle shifted the glass doors and led them to the foyer. Apparently, in addition to indoors, there is also seating outside if anyone wants to read in a more open area.

From his standing position, Abigail saw two men of different ages sitting reading. One of them is older than the other. Abigail guessed that the man was called Grandpa by Darren. The younger man's face looks the same as Darren's. If you look at the two at the same time, as if you see the younger version of Darren and the older version of Darren.

Several maids lined up neatly, not far from the two men. And the head of the household immediately joined the line.

"Good day, Grandpa, Papa." Darren gave a greeting, his tone sounded happy as well. It was so different when they came.

"You guys have arrived apparently. Let's sit down." The younger man stood up and hugged Darren. "Papa's son." He patted Darren on the back.

After that Darren approached another older man and also hugged him.

"Grandfather thinks you've forgotten Grandpa." Said the man while patting Darren on the back.

"Of course not." Darren replied after breaking his embrace.

"How are you Triassic?" Papa Darren shook the young man's hand.

"Good news uncle."

The question from Papa Darren to Trias made the grandfather's eyes look at the manager and his attention was on Abigail.

"Is the pretty girl next to Trias the girl who's gonna give me a great-grandchild, Darren?" Grandfather asked Darren in a big enough voice. And the question of success left everyone there flabbergasted.

Abigail's eyes were perfectly rounded, she blinked a few times and looked at Darren as if asking for an explanation. But the one who was stared at just silently gave a smile without intending to explain anything.

"Come here beautiful." Grandpa extended his hand.

Though doubtful Abigail approached Grandpa and shook the old man's hand.

"Good day sir, I am Abigail, I am there…..

"I'm Zico Zee, just call me Grandpa Zico. Your name is so pretty, granddaughter-in-law." Grandpa Zico patted the back of Abigail's hand with a happy smile.

"Tu. Master, uh Grandpa. Sa. I'm just Mr. Darren's assistant."

"Does the present-day singer make his lover an assistant?" Both Grandpa Zico's eyebrows were furrowed, and a moment later his face looked angrily staring at Darren. "Bastard grandson, I didn't teach you to treat your heart with disrespect. Treat them like a queen."

"Oh my goodness." Abigail suddenly dizzy. The servants who were there lowered their heads in laughter.

"Oh dad, stop teasing Abigail." Papa Darren releases his father's hand from Abigail. "Hello, I'm Rayn Zee. It's nice to meet you. Is my son bothering you so much? Sorry if he's like that."

"Ah it.that." Abigail was surprised, she did not expect a welcome from Darren's parents.

Abigail took a breath and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Rayn. And Mr. Darren is not as troublesome as you think."

"Call me uncle, like Trias. But if you call me Papa, it'll be even better." Rayn patted Abigail's hand and returned to her seat.

Abigail forced a smile. It turned out to be the same as Grandfather, he murmured inwardly.

"Sit here, son." Grandpa Zico patted the seat beside him.

Abigail follows Zico's request, just as Sarah appears and joins them. The woman looked at Abigail with a condescending look. But as soon as Rayn and Zico saw him, he immediately changed his face and smiled amiably.

Sarah, who was just about to sit next to Rayn, her husband, broke off her intentions. He smiled and nodded. "Good Dad."

And as he turned his back to Great Lord Zee, the look on his face turned filled with anger.

Rayn stared at Sarah's departure with a tired face. Ten years of marriage, her father never accepted Sarah. And until recently, Rayn never knew what Zico's father was. Even Sarah was seen several times staring at Zico with a look of disdain.

Rayn took a deep breath trying to throw a load on the heart. But when he saw his father talking and laughing with Abigail, his face brightened again.

"Is there anything you want to ask me, son?" Grandfather looked at Abigail with great affection.

"Oh yes, there is. Why is Mr Darren's surname Wang? While Grandpa and Uncle surnamed Zee." Abigail ventured to ask.

"Wang is the surname of Darren's late mother. He loved his mother so much that he used the surname as a stage name. And because from the beginning I didn't like it when Darren became a singer. So I forbid him from opening up information about us." Grandpa Zico explained without a burden. He even glanced back at his granddaughter while reminiscing about the beginning of Darren's career.

"So right, you're not Darren's girlfriend?" Grandfather suddenly changed the subject.

Abigail smiled faintly at Grandpa's question. "Not Grandpa. I'm just Mr. Darren's assistant."

"Dearly enough. I want you to be my daughter-in-law's granddaughter. If he marries another girl, I'll cross Darren's name from the family legacy."

Abigail could not hold back anymore, this time she chuckled and glanced at Darren. "Grandfather doesn't even know me."

"Grandfather no…….."

"Dad, don't force Abigail. Maybe he already has a girlfriend." Rayn stops her father, who is back to teasing Abigail.

"Ckkk!" Grandpa Zico clucked in annoyance. "Always interfere with my pleasure."

Grandpa Zico's grunts invited the laughter of everyone there. Except for the servants who were forced to hold a laugh and had to bow due to the sharp glances of the head of the household.

Abigail felt a warm sigh inside her chest. The happy laughter of Zico and Rayn is contagious and makes it feel like the warmth of the family even though it is not intact. He was silent for a moment and thought, if his parents and grandfather were still alive. Maybe it will feel like this when chatting.

"Abigail, where are your parents?" Rayn asked while sipping tea.

"Both of my parents are no uncles." Abigail replied with a smile.

Rayn was surprised and immediately put down her cup. "Please forgive this old man's question, Abigail."

"It's okay uncle. It's been happening for a long time anyway. I'm used to the question and I'm fine."

"So, if Grandpa wants to propose to you for Darren, who do you think Grandpa should meet?" Chirps Grandpa Zico.

"Knekkkk."

"Ohhhh."

Meek Rayn, Trias and Darren together.

"What?" Grandfather looked at the three people without feeling guilty. "I just want to grab a great-grandchild before I die." The impact without burden.
