The Truth About the Past

"Let go!" nadhira shouted while trying to release his body.

"No Ma'am, don't kill yourself Ma'am!" replied the man while still holding Nadhira's body.

"Take off, I don't... Vin!" nadhira said in shock. He did not expect that the man who had pulled him earlier was Vino.

"Nadhira, how are you" said Vino while releasing Nadhira's body, he frowned in wonder when he knew that the woman was Nadhira.

"What problem are you having? Why would you want to kill yourself?" vino asked as he looked at Nadhira. His eyes were sloppy and red, Vino was sure that Nadhira had just cried. Could it be because of Andra?

"You misunderstood Vin, I had no intention of killing myself" Nadhira replied.

"You can't lie to me, Nad, I saw for myself. You're ready to jump off that bridge. I was so panicked that I didn't know it was you. You should not be rash like that, there are still many who want you to live, who are not willing to lose you. Don't be weird anymore." Vino said at length.

Nadhira could only exhale violently. Right now he was lazy to talk, let alone argue.

"What's the matter?" ask Vino slowly.

"Nothing." replied Nadhira while shaking his head.

"Nadhira, be honest with me!" vino said as he grabbed Nadhira's hand.

"I'm fine Vin." replied Nadhira.

"Is this because of Andra?" ask Vino.

"Don't say her name! I said it's okay that means yes it's okay. Who are you anyway, eager to know my problem!" nadhira snapped as he stepped towards his car. Hearing Vino mention Andra's name, his emotions immediately ignited. He forgot, if Vino ever calmed him time in Malang.

"I am nobody to you. But to me you are the most precious person" said Vino who immediately made Nadhira step stopped.

"We have nothing to do with it. But you know, I'm sick of seeing you like this. I know you're hurt, I know you're sad, too. If Andra can only make you cry, why do you still keep her. Why don't you look for someone else who can love you sincerely." continued Vino as he approached Nadhira.

"There are still men who love you sincerely, who want you to be happy, and don't want you to get hurt. And that man is me." said Vino as he touched Nadhira's shoulder from behind.

"What do you mean Vin?" nadhira asked as he turned his body, now he and Vino stood facing each other.

"For a long time I have held feelings for you, yet you have always loved another man. Actually I want you to be with Andra, as long as you're happy. But what I see is that you cry a lot because of Andra, honestly I'm sad about Nad. I don't want you to be treated like this by him." Vino replied as he looked at Nadhira.

"You're serious about what you're saying, Vin." said Nadhira nervously.

"I'm serious, since high school I've liked you, but at that time you had a boyfriend. And I don't know when you broke up yet, suddenly you're on your way with Andra" Vino said with a bland smile.

Nadhira was speechless at the explanation Vino had revealed. He did not expect if all this time Vino kept his feelings for him.

"Why do you keep Nadhira alive, if he hurts you so much. Why don't you just let her go, you deserve to be happy Nadhira too. What does love and bonding mean, if it just makes you cry" Vino said, holding onto Nadhira's shoulders.

"I've let him go, our relationship is over Vin" Nadhira said with a lowered head. He hid his tears that came back.

"You and Andra are separated?" vino asked in disbelief.

"Yes, it turns out Andra loves Ella." replied Nadhira quietly.

"Love Ella, when did Andra say it?" ask Vino.

"Overnight, he said it turned out that all he loved was Ella not me." replied Nadhira still lowered her head.

"Has Ella gone home?" Vino asked again.

"Once, Ella came home with her sister Andra, and they planned to get married" Nadhira said.

"Andra has a sister, why don't I know" said Vino, frowning. He had known Andra for a long time, but had no idea that Andra had a brother.

"I knew him not too long ago Vin said his brother lived in France with his father. I also don't know why he got to know Ella, the world is so narrow Vin." Nadhira said, wiping her tears.

"You're a fucking Ndra. You used to insist on saying Ella was just a friend. But now that you have Nadhira, and Ella has a boyfriend, you say you love her. Basic men have no conscience." - Vino grumbled in his heart.

"I don't know how to explain this to my parents. Everyone knows I and Andra will be engaged, but now it's all gone. Mama Papa will definitely be disappointed and embarrassed." said Nadhira slowly.

"Nadhira, may I help you" Vino said as he grabbed Nadhira's hand.

"Help what?" ask Nadhira.

"If you're willing, I'm ready to marry you on your engagement day. I love you so much Nadhira." replied Vino seriously.

"But Vin.." said Nadhira.

"Why can't you accept me?" ask Vino.

"It's not like that, but I just separated from Andra, I'm still hurt. I still can't consider you, I don't want to make you Vin's escape." Nadhira replied as she looked at Vino.

"I understand how you feel. But Nadhira, you don't have to answer now, you still have time to think about it. I'm not forcing you, but one thing you should always know, I love you so much" Vino said as he stared fixedly at Nadhira.

"All right, give me some time. I'll think about it." said Nadhira.

"Yes, I'm waiting for your answer" Vino said with a smile.

Andra stopped her car in her garage. He frowned in surprise as he stared at the foreign car parked in his garage.

"Whose car?" muttered Andra slowly.

Then he got out of his car, and stepped into his house.

Andra gasped in shock when she saw her mother crying on the living room couch. His mother was not alone, but Kairi, and Mr. Louis was sitting with him.

Andra's emotions immediately ignited, and she quickly stepped closer to them.

"What do you mean Andra, Papa doesn't understand" said Mr. Louis as he looked at Andra.

"Papa doesn't have to cover it anymore, I already know everything. Papa left Mama for another woman, but Papa did not want to divorce Mama. Papa is really selfish!" yelled Andra still with her emotions.

"Don't scream! Learn to speak politely!" kairi snapped while looking at Andra sharply.

"You have no right to rule me!" yelled Andra while returning Kairi's gaze. His anger was heightened when he remembered about Ella, the girl who had always been near him, now had gone with Kairi, very annoying.

"You relax! Andra please sit down!" mr. Louis said as he looked at Andra.

"I don't want to. Papa has betrayed Mama, I no longer want to talk to Papa." replied Andra.

"You misunderstood Andra, sit down and you'll know the truth" Mr. Louis said.

"No Mas, don't do this, don't say anything to Andra!" sahut Bu Mirna crying.

"Until when are you going to hide all this Mirna, Andra also deserves to know the truth" Mr. Louis said as he looked at Ms. Mirna.

"What truth? Why did Mom cry?" ask Andra to stand up.

"It's nothing Andra, go and don't listen to your Papa. You believe me, Mama, now go to your room" said Ms Mirna, staring at Andra.

"Well Ma." replied Andra while turning her body.

Seeing her mother crying, Andra felt unbearable. So he did not argue, and preferred to obey his orders.

"You mustn't be selfish Mirna, you must tell Andra the truth. Andra deserves to know who her real father is. Do you intend to keep them apart forever" said Mr. Louis in a slightly elevated tone.

Andra's steps stopped instantly, upon hearing his father's words. Spontaneously he immediately turned his body, and again stepped closer to Mr. Louis.

And not only Andra, Kairi was also shocked when she heard her father's words. Could it be that Andra is not his father's son, then whose son is he?

"What does Papa mean?" andra asked as she approached her father.

"Sit down!" mr. Louis's orders.

"Mas don't Mas, don't say anything to Andra!" shouted Miss Mirna crying.

"Until when will you keep covering it. Children are adults, it's time they found out about our past. So that they do not misunderstand again with our unfair attitude" said Mr. Louis firmly.

"What's this really about?" andra asked while looking at her mother.

His mother did not answer, she just cried sobbing.

"You take it easy, and listen to Papa tell me this is about my past and Mirna" said Mr. Louis.

30 Years ago.

Louis Da Vinci was a wealthy young man from France, who came to Indonesia to help his father take care of business in the country. Louis was a handsome and arrogant young man, relying on money and power, he was never willing to accept failure. Every thing he wants must be realized, however, including about women.

Louis falls in love with his first look at a beautiful and graceful girl, who is the daughter of his father's business partner.

The woman is Mirna Anggara, the only daughter in the Anggara family.

At that time Mirna was already in a relationship with Aditya Ramlan, a simple man who worked as an employee in the office owned by the Anggara family.

Initially Mirna and Adit's relationship, getting the blessing of her parents Mirna. But things start to change, when Louis comes to interrupt. Many times he tried to abort his womb, but fate said otherwise. After nine months Mirna gave birth to a blue-eyed baby boy, just like her father, she was Kairi Da Vinci.

Mirna did not want the presence of the baby, it could even be said that she hated it very much. Because that baby is what caused Adit to leave. As time rolls on, Kairi grows into a smart and handsome little boy. But Mirna hated her even more, because the face of the boy was exactly the same as the face of the man she hated so much, the man who was none other than her own husband.

Five years later, Adit and Mirna's relationship improves. Adit was already a widower, as his marriage to his wife was only a corn. They had separated before they had any offspring. Their relationship is back as close as it used to be, and soon Mirna gets pregnant again.

Nine months later Mirna gave birth, a handsome and black-eyed baby boy, she was Andra Dwi Anggara.

Louis knew it was not his son, so he hated him. Even Louis did not allow the baby to bear the name Da Vinci, so Mirna gave him the name Anggara.

Year after year passed, Kairi and Andra grew up together. But they never get along, it can even be said they hate each other. It was all due to his parents' very unfair attitude. Mirna loved Andra very much, and always scolded Kairi. While Louis he loved Kairi very much, and never cared about Andra.

And right in 2009, Kairi just graduated high school, and Andra just graduated from Elementary School. Louis and Mirna decide to separate, and live their own lives. Louis brought Kairi to his native France. But even though they were separated, Louis was still selfish. Louis did not want to divorce Mirna, and kept her as his wife. All that Louis did so that Mirna could not marry Adit.

"All that Papa did, because Papa loved your mother very much. But now Papa is aware, Papa's actions are wrong, Papa is too forcing Papa's love. Papa apologizes for all the mistakes Papa made that hurt you" Mr. Louis said after he finished telling his past.

"Andra forgive Papa's attitude first, now Papa will consider you and love you like Papa loves Kairi. Mirna forgive me, now I'm up to you. If you really want to split up, I'll divorce you, I'll give some of my assets to Andra. And if you still want to be with me, I promise I'll treat you even better. One thing you should know Mirna, I still love you so much." continued Mr. Louis, because the three of them were still silent without a word.

And until a few seconds later the atmosphere was still quiet. None of them opened their voices. They dissolve in their minds.

"You divorced me now free Mas, Mas Adit is gone, I can't live with him. Now that everything has been revealed, Andra must be very sad to hear this truth." said Ms. Mirna in tears.

"It turns out I was just an unwanted child, even Mama had planned to kill me since I was still in the womb." Kairi's inner voice while looking down, her heart felt tight to hear her father's explanation.

"My father turned out to be the person I had always considered a subordinate. It is fitting that Papa never loved me, it turns out that I am not his son. I should have realized this from the beginning, my face and my name were different from Kairi's. But why do I know now, when it's too late.
