Your Officemate's
69. Good Bye Clara's

"Are you threatening me, Rika?" asked Clara in a dislike tone.

"No. It's not a threat, it's a negotiation" Erika replied with a calmness ready to sweep Clara away.

"What do you want Rika? I was no longer close to Hans, even to contact him I had a hard time. Why are you so selfish?"

Tsk... Erika was grieving in her heart, why did the selfless person even call her selfish. Just let Clara say whatever she wanted to say, Erika just needed to make sure her main goal worked.

"Regarding your relationship with those men, it's none of my business. But your relationship with the father of my children is my business. I just want to make sure my kids' lives stay happy later on."

"I think you're overreacting, brother. I didn't even do anything with Hans." Clara complained. And Erika would not respond, she just sneered inwardly.

"It's not fair, brother. We were together for two years as co-workers, and suddenly you told us to just split up?"

Huh!!! Erika wanted to laugh out loud when she heard Clara's silly words. Clara will never feel guilty. The sentence implies that Erika is guilty of separating the relationship of two lovers who love each other. Oh, No! Really - really crazy.

"Whatever Brother Hans gave you, I gave it up. I'm not asking for a penny back. Let's just say it's compensation for what Mr. Hans has done to you. All break even now. I just want you to move on with your life with whichever guy you want." Erika explained as well as insulting Clara.

"But my brother, haven't I told you many times, and today I'd say the same thing if I didn't like Hans. Why do you blame me if Hans's brother likes me?" As usual Clara always thought Erika was blaming her.

"Trust me, no parent in the world would love to hear his child relate to a married man. No mother is happy to see her daughter's broken life." Erika again - again said subtly, advised and threatened at the same time.

"No matter how nice a man is to you, he won't be willing to be with another man." Erika paused for a moment.

"If you follow my rules, I will be the best guardian of secrets. O'ya, don't forget, I also still keep your sexy dance videos. Actually that alone is enough to sue you." added Erika again.

No sound from across there. I don't know what Clara's thinking right now, Erika doesn't care. At least, Erika had already conveyed what she wanted to convey.

"Forget that you've known us. Or you won't get anything. I don't want to embarrass you. Be happy with anyone who can make you happy." Erika closed their conversation.

Then Erika leaned her back against the chair, her eyes glaring far away. I don't know if Clara's going to obey him or not. I don't know what he's doing right or wrong.

At least for Erika's entire life, it never occurred to her to threaten someone. Maybe once in a while we need to do something out of our habit.

Now Erika just had to pray that the sun shines after the storm.

A Year Later....

That afternoon, while Erika was sitting around waiting for Aaron to play and her sisters to watch their favorite Korean drama film, an ART came with several envelopes.

"Mom, this is the letter that came today." ART handed Erika a stack of letters.

Erika pulled her back from the back of the chair, "Thank you."

Erika sorted through the mail that came, there were bill letters, brochures - brochures and subscription magazines. Although the era is all digital, some things still survive.

Erika frowned when she saw an invitation tucked between the many letters that came. An invitation that is predominantly white and gold, looks classy and expensive.

A name he never wanted to mention the last year was written on the invitation "Clara and Davian".

Ah, I don't know what feelings Erika should be showing. Tucked hope hopefully with this invitation, the story of Clara really - really finished in his life.

(Mom.).

"I Mom asyuu... "

(I love you Mom... I love you Mom)

It turned out that Hans had come home and he was holding the little whiz who was now stretching out his hands asking to be carried by his Mommy.

Erika greeted her youngest child with a gentle smile. A small figure who always seeks and depends on her, makes Erika realize there will always be love for her. Binar - the twinkle in the sinless clear eye that always manages to divert his world. The love of children treats the wounds of a mother.

"Clara and Davian." Hans read the invitation that Erika had offered when she had welcomed Aaron into her carriage.

Oops!! A small paper sagged from the invitation earlier.

"Actually Brother Hans and I are very suitable and harmonious. But we parted for you. Yes for you, Rika. Don't come to my wedding, I just want to tell you that I'm happy. From : Clara."

Hans widened his eyes looking at the writing on the paper, his heart beating faster. He was worried that - if Erika recalled the painful thing a year ago.

It turns out the opposite happened. Erika laughed and said.

"Not to be surprised. Isn't that typical Clara?"

Hans stunned.

"Thank you Mom." Hans said slowly. Every time she remembered Clara, every time she remembered her sin.

"For what?" ask Erika.

"Thank you for everything, stay with me. Ii'm sorry. I promise I won't repeat it." Hans said really.

"I need proof, not promise." Erika's smile expanded, her eyes radiating sincerity.

Trust takes years to build, but only a second to break and needs a life time to forget.

(It takes years to build trust, but only a second to destroy and a lifetime to forget)

The slightest betrayal will leave a wound. Hans had a lifetime of PR to keep proving his promise. A woman's heart is forgiving, but hard to forget.

Forgiveness does not mean you lose, but it frees you from burdens and grudges. Erika chose to be sincere and live happily for the sake of her children. Instead of lamenting it is better to let bad things happen, and focus on good things in the future.

The strong man is not the one who never cries but he who is broken and weeping but still able to stand up and smile after being hit by a storm.

Thank you to the loyal readers who have accompanied you to this day.

Ask: "Why is the ending like this?"

Answer :

Hu-um, because it's an affair drama. Much or little, Hans has disappointed Erika. There is no real happy ending - really happy for the case of infidelity. There is only one who gives up and one who repents. 😌🤗

It's based on my thinking.

Again, thank you, everyone.
