22. First Sight

Less than 20 years ago....

Hans always laughs at his best friend whenever he tells about a line of women who are willing to wait in line to be his girlfriend or just get his attention.

For Hans, women were the last thing on his priorities at the time.. Especially at that time Hans was just a student who was lucky to get a student duty. Never mind dating, to eat also have to be frugal.

"Dance, wooiii... Hans."." Hans." Johan flicked his finger in front of Hans' face. Hans blinked his eyes. Johan and his brother laughed.

"This is my sister, Erika." Hans immediately greeted the delicate hand quickly, his heart pounding irregularly.

"Have you eaten yet?" Erika asked while pointing back with her thumb.

"Enough for both of us?" johan asked as she walked towards the dining room. No matter how embarrassed Hans was for feeling like he was asking for food.

"Enough for all of us, brother."

Lauk rendang and accompanied by a sweet girl, made Hans forget his shame. From the conversation of Johan and Erika, Hans concluded that they were only three. His father was busy working and always came home late. To Hans' knowledge, their mother was gone. And apparently, Erika takes care of Papa and her brother.

"I went to the room. To study." Erika is done, and she says goodbye.

"Cieeee.. The general champion." seduced Johan.

"Not only is his face beautiful, but also intelligent. Whoa!!"

Hans added another note on his list of admiration for Erika.

"Hans, Hans." Johan again flicked his finger in front of Hans' face.

"Stop it, Jo." Hans pushed Johan's hand out from the front of his face

"You didn't say your sister was pretty."

"Beautiful? Erika's? Seen from where?" johan mocked.

"Can you be serious?" Hans was upset.

"I'm serious." Johan came along - got upset. Then he squinted his eyes.

"You like my sister? Can't! He's still in 1st grade High School and you're already in college. Must have had some experience playing with a woman's heart. My brother is not for a man like you." continued Johan.

"One finger points at me, but the other four point at yourself. Glass more often."

"I know, I'm handsome. No more need to look at the glass to make sure." said Johan bragged.

From that day on, whenever Johan took Hans to his house, Hans did not refuse. The main goal is to see the girl. Hans was thrilled whenever an opportunity arose when Johan and Erika joked.

A few months later, Hans finally had a chance to meet their Papa. Johan was right, behind the firm attitude of his father hidden kindness.

The first time he met her, Hans got a surprise.

"So this is Hans. Johan often tells me about you. He said you were looking for extra income. Do you want to help Om at the store? Working hours, just adjust to your college hours."

Hans wanted Om Harris to approve, but that's not the way.

One afternoon, who would have thought Om Harris would have a heart attack. Coincidentally at that time, Hans had started working every day as he was waiting for the thesis hearing. Hans took her to the hospital. Then moved - goopoh, Hans and Erika followed him there.

What surprised Hans was when Erika came with Johan. Harris said again.

"Hans please take care of Erika when Om is gone. Take care of him like Om and Johan take care of him. I believe you."

Hans unhesitatingly responded, although he had never expressed any feelings for Erika.

And, that was Om Harris' last message to Hans.

After the trial and graduation, Hans decides to marry Erika. Fortunately, Erika immediately agreed without many conditions. The problem is Johan.

"I won't stop you from marrying my sister, Hans. I know you liked him a long time ago. But I have a lot of requirements."

"We're friends, Jo. You know I've always held onto my word." promised Hans.

"You know words alone have no power at all. Are you sure you want to hear all my terms?"

"good. Whatever it is I'll fulfill."

"Tomorrow, I brought a prenuptial agreement from me. Prepare your version."

Hans nodded.

"Remember, Hans. Erika is my sister. Just one word from her if you hurt her as long as you guys get married, I'll make a calculation with you."

To Hans, the conditions put forward by Johan were reasonable. He only asked Hans to meet Erika's needs ranging from food, clothing and home. Then if Hans is known to have an affair then Erika has the right to decide what is good for their marriage.

In the event of a divorce, half the property will be given to Erika. In addition, Hans still had to give their children alimony until they went to college.

Hans immediately agreed to the terms which he considered very mild.

While the condition of Hans is that Erika should not ask for material assistance from anyone, and is prohibited from telling our household problems or asking for opinions from others, except Johan. The last condition is that Erika can complete her education even work, but only until she is pregnant. After that, he had to stop and focus on the children.

After the prenuptial agreement was approved, Hans and Erika got married in simple terms. Adjusting to Hans's abilities at the time.

At Hans's request, Erika did not ask Johan for material assistance. They decided to stay both at a hostel. While for daily needs, Hans worked with Johan to change the Om Harris building shop that was originally conventional until it changed rapidly as it is today.
