Your Officemate's
65. Trying to Take Heart

"Mommy, don't you want to wipe for Daddy?" ask Abbey.

"Eh?"

Hans and Erika turned to each other, with indecipherable gazes.

Fortunately, Hans quickly mastered the situation. Not wanting to make Erika feel awkward, Hans kissed Manda's cheek and lightly ruffled her hair.

"Thank you, honey. You did it for Daddy."

Manda laughed amusedly because of Hans mustache attached to her cheek.

"Samely, Daddy." Then Manda sat back down and finished the ice. Hans looked at Erika with a smile.

"If you're done eating ice, put the bowl in the sink, yes" said Hans reminded.

"Ready, Dad." replied Abbey and Manda simultaneously.

As soon as the ice in the bowl ran out, they immediately raced towards the kitchen. Hans reached out his hand asking for a bowl in Erika's hand. After Erika gave the bowl, she also took Aaron with her other hand.

"I'll have dinner ready. You just sit here. I know you're tired too."

Hans stood up while holding Aaron and followed the girls into the kitchen. Erika was stunned to hear Hans's words earlier.

While laying her body on the sofa, Erika only realized that she was tired. Although Erika was not sure what cuisine Hans would make, Erika according to him. He decided to sit down for a little while. But sleep took away his consciousness quickly.

When she opened her eyes, Erika was already in bed. It's dark around. He grabbed and turned on the table lamp that was on the nightstand. There's no Hans on the couch. Erika groaned softly when she heard the sound of her stomach protesting to be filled.

Children's rooms are also dark, maybe they are tired so sleep faster today. Erika went down slowly and her steps stopped when she heard the sound of a sobbing. On the sofa where they used to sit while watching TV, Hans was sitting with his hands covering his face. Maybe trying to dampen his shit.

Erika wondered why Hans was crying. Regardless of what Hans did, he was a tough guy. Erika had only ever seen Hans cry when there was something to do with her. Does that mean Hans is thinking about himself?

Erika sat quietly on the steps where Hans could not see her. Wait until the sound of the stuffing is over. When Hans steps towards the bathroom, Erika stands up. He slowly went downstairs and headed for the kitchen.

While opening the refrigerator, Erika found a bowl filled with soup. Erika took and opened the plastic lid, chicken soup. Erika put the bowl in the microwave and set the time and temperature.

"Not as delicious as your cooking." Hans' voice rang out from the doorway.

"I don't see any other left besides this one. It means that the children have eaten. A child's tongue can never lie. That means Big Brother's cooking is good." I reply.

"There's another possibility. I threw it away." Hans tried to joke with Erika.

"Sister Hans never threw away food." said Erika.

Hearing the sound of the microwave, Hans raised his hand and prevented Erika from standing up. He took the bowl and placed it in front of Erika.

"Do you want some other food? I can make a sandwich or an omelet." Hans offered.

"What if both?' ask Erika.

"Ready, Mistress. Whatever you ask." Hans bent his body.

Erika finished the soup in her bowl until it was left unnoticed.

"Nake too." Erika involuntarily muttered.

"Snake or hungry, Moms?" Hans rolled his eyeballs.

Erika just smiled faintly. Hans continued his work. He deftly made tuna sandwiches and omelets mixed with tomato and ham slices. As soon as he finished, he placed the two plates in front of Erika. It tastes good too.

"I think it's best that Brother Hans cooks for all of us after this." said Erika.

"Whatever you want, Moms. As long as you fall in love with me again." replied Hans quietly.

"Can I eat all this without talking?" ask Erika.

"All right." replied Hans. He did not say anything anymore but his eyes were fixed on Erika. Staring at him.

"I miss you Moms."

There was no response from Erika.

Entering the day of work, Hans stared at Erika for a very long time as he said goodbye to Erika. He was still afraid of leaving Erika alone, and worried that Erika was leaving again. It's okay to go to Johan's house, how about going somewhere else and Hans can't find it anymore?

Then the children came and scrambled to hug and kiss Erika before saying goodbye.

"Why hasn't Daddy ever kissed Mommy?" suddenly Abbey asked while looking intently at Hans.

Manda does not want to lose, his hands are crossed.

"You don't want Daddy to make Mommy sad and leave the house."

Erika smiled awkwardly. Hans was no less clumsy. He did not want to make Erika feel forced, but on the other hand the eyes of the children were judging her.
