Chapter 10 The Scam

Deni drove his car at high speed. From the car window, I noticed the car entering Gayam Coral Village, just away from the direction towards my house and towards the rice field area on the outskirts of the village. On the outskirts of my village there are still many rice fields, and most of the owners are Angga's grandmother. Angga is an orphan, as an accident took the lives of his parents.

I'm starting to feel anxious. I asked Deni timidly, "Den, what are we going to do here? It's late, you better get me straight home."

"Haha. Deni burst out hearing my trembling tone of voice.

"Where was your expensive sell-off attitude, huh?!" asked Deni arrogantly.

I could only keep quiet, while Deni's comrades could only giggle to enjoy my fear. I don't want to provoke them so that conditions don't get worse for me.

Fifteen minutes drive, Deni stopped his car. On the left side of the road there is a hut that is commonly used by farmers to rest lunch while removing fatigue because of a partial planting.

Deni and his friends got out of the car. Aldo lowered the back of the middle bench so I could get out of the car, but I was unmoved.

"Down!" deni's orders.

"I..I'm in Den's car. Lots of mosquitoes", I said.

"Down and don't argue! Or I'll do something more heinous to you!", threatened Deni.

I was unable to resist and just resigned to comply with Deni's will. I was led by Genk Keke to sit in a hut on the edge of the rice field. My hands are crossed in my chest to ward off the cold of the night that began to stab.

"You're tonight, Lan. Yes, follow drinking a mouthful-two sips also of course" Deni said while chuckling.

Aldo started circulating the beer cans to us one by one. I who never drank anything like that tried to resist it. "I can't drink this, Den. Never been".

"Drink!" one absolute word from Deni.

"But abis I drink this home right?", I asked to make sure. I don't want to get stuck with them if they get drunk and lose control.

"Hhmm.", Deni just muttered while smiling cynically.

I started drinking the beer. It was like drinking soda, but there was a slight sensation of bitter and hot taste in my esophagus.

"Yuk!" I coughed as I swallowed the drink.

"Hahaha", Genk Keke chuckled at me who was not used to drinking alcoholic beverages.

"Take a drink I want to have a story, Lan. Ryo and Lisa were on gasoline together, right? You're not suspicious? So gini's story..."

*Flashback On*

"Rek, I'm talking now. I have a plan, and you have to help me. I want to make the same calculation Wulan. As if he rejects me, but he accepts a gembel like Ryo" said Deni.

"What?" Tama asked for spirit.

"Okay, I get it. Later let me go down and let Wulan get in the car. Before Ryo or Lisa gets on, I'm gonna push her and get back in the car. You hit the gas, Den!" Aldo was excited to hear Deni's explanation. Honestly speaking, Aldo is not happy with an expensive sell-off woman like Wulan.

Tama and Angga just nodded in agreement.

"The abbis came back here, Den?" Angga asked to clarify where the gathering point was after each one carried out the instructions. Deni just nodded in response.

After Deni gave instructions, Genk Kece split up to carry out their respective duties.

Angga and Deni only took 20 minutes to return to the food court because Ci*kl*K was on the same floor. Aldo and Tama are back after 45 minutes. Seen at the table Wulan the three just finished lunch.

"Let's follow them" Deni asked his friends.

Genk Kece begins to follow Wulan and Ryo who part ways with Lisa. While on the escalator Deni who was right behind Wulan patted Wulan's shoulder.

"Bad you, Den!" I shrieked in anguish as I learned the story behind Ryo and Lisa's motorbike running out of gas simultaneously. I did feel weird, but I didn't think that anyone would deliberately prank us.

"Don't be angry, Lan. We're just kidding" said Tama to calm me down.

"What good is Ryo? Mending Deni everywhere, Lan", Aldo chimed. While Angga just silently looked at me while occasionally sipping his beer.

"I don't understand what you're saying!" my sniffy mouth came back after hearing Deni's confession.

Deni downed the beer in a can he held. Then give the code to his colleagues to get closer. Genk Kese approached Deni, and spoke in a whisper. I vaguely heard their conversation. Pretending to look around so that it does not seem that I eavesdrop on their whispers. There were no stars in the sky at all, it seemed that the sky was overcast. It's worth it tonight is so cold.

"You have Wulan. I want to enjoy him for a little longer. Your turn after me", Deni whispered to his comrades.

"You mean, Den?" aldo asked to make sure, what was really his mind was the same as what Deni meant.

"But, Den.", Tama was timid but willing. Tama also drools about the appearance of Wulan which is actually also his type.

I who faintly heard the whispers stood in fear. I was about to run, but lost quickly with Deni's movements that immediately grabbed my wrist. He dragged me to the hut on the edge of the rice field and pushed me.

"Den, please don't. Don't do it, Den" I said heartily, tears flowing realizing my helplessness. Aldo and Tama each held my feet one by one, while Angga held both hands in a position that my body had stretched out. And Deni immediately executed my body.

Wulan shouted for help. Ask anyone or anything who can help. But not the slightest hope of Wulan was granted. His body was torn to shreds in such a way, as was his future.
