Alden intercepted Bram in his office. He was determined to ask Bram for forgiveness so that Bram would meet him with Valen.
Bram was quite surprised when Alden was already waiting downstairs in a pretty neat outfit. But opposite of Alden, Bram also does not want to accept Alden as his son-in-law. He has agreed with Esther to take Valen out of the country if Valen and the baby are born safely. Bram doesn't want to be in touch with Alden anymore.
"For Om." "What's healthy today?" greet Alden friendly. He followed Bram where he was going.
"I don't want to talk to you. You better get out of here." replied Bram Ketus.
"I'll keep waiting every day." Alden tried to smile at his in-laws who always showed a dislike expression.
"Sad. That won't be useful." Bram only replied with a cynical smile.
"Om, Alden is sorry. But, let Alden meet Valen, Om." Alden put up a body preventing Bram from going through it.
"From the beginning I knew Valen's future would be bleak because of you." Bram pointed at Alden right in his chest.
As a man, Alden was certainly heartbroken by Bram's treatment. Bram always insulted Alden because their social status was different. But, for Valen's sake, Alden muffled all his frustration. He had to control himself not to say or act rudely to Bram even though the words that came out of Bram's mouth always hurt Alden.
"Are you sure you want to see Valen?" Bram squinted his eyes. "But I'm not sure you can fulfill it."
"Whatever you ask for." Alden felt the results of his patience.
"You work so cleaning service here for a month without a paycheck. How's it?"
Alden knew it wouldn't be easy. He took a deep breath, then the one word Alden could say right now was.. "okay."
"Alden won't work as a cleaning service." Steve's voice breaks the tension between Alden and Bram.
"Steve.. Why are you here?" asked Bram who immediately greeted Steve.
"Sorry, I've been hearing your conversations since." Steve's approaching Alden. He looked at Alden's face that was as strong as his emotions were holding back.
"Isn't she your daughter-in-law?"
"Where do you know what, Steve?" bram said nervously. He was afraid that his employees would hear Steve's words.
"Sir, I'll keep cleaning service here. Because I want to see Valen."
"But, Den.." Steve was very disappointed with Alden's words. Of course Steve wouldn't want his son to be insulted like this. Alden should have been the owner of the business, not the cleaning service.
"Sir, I must prove it to the honorable Mr. Bram if I can fulfill his request."
"No, I won't allow it." Steve insisted on banning Alden. He was dying to say that Alden was his son. But, it felt like Steve's tongue was stiff. He had to think about the repercussions that would happen later if he revealed this fact to Alden. Alden could be stressed.
"Master, you don't have to interfere in my personal affairs. I have to get Valen back." Alden put away Steve's hand which was holding his wrist.
"Alden's.."
"What do I do now, Om?" Alden turned to Bram who had been waiting for him while holding his arm.
"My shoes are dusty. So, you're packing my shoes." Bram moved one of his legs.
Steve stiffens. He had yet to fully recover from his illness, but had already seen such a terrifying sight like this.
Alden crouched right in front of Bram's feet. This is the third time he's kneeling to Bram.
"Bram, you are so outrageous" said Steve growled. "I don't like your attitude like this. I don't think our partnership can continue." Steve couldn't take it anymore. He waltzed away after saying that to Bram.
Bram is shocked, but he's not after Steve because Alden is cleaning his shoes with his handkerchief. Alden's actions seem more interesting than Steve's words about their cooperation.
Alden finished quickly, then he stood up. He looked at the satisfied face of Bram who had oppressed him.
"It's a good thing my wife doesn't follow the nature of her father" he said.
"What did you say?"
"No, I'll just start working." Alden hinted his finger at the back of the sign wanting to leave immediately.
"Yes, do everything right." Bram also does not want to bother. He was of course just bluffing Alden, but Alden instead supported him. So it doesn't hurt to play a little bit with Alden.
