Trouble

Steve was shocked when Alden came in that morning. Alden's appearance was even worse than that of a homeless person. Alden didn't shave his beard, his hair was disheveled, and he still wore clothes yesterday. Did Alden not come home last night? Alden said he wanted to see Valen? questions came to Steve's mind.

"Alden, is there a problem?" steve asked, drinking water in front of him.

"Yes, there's a big problem." Alden bowed listlessly. He was not really excited about work today. But, Steve called him and said there was something important he wanted to talk about.

"What problem?"

"Valen's gone."

Zoe, who initially cared little for Alden, now immediately left her spoon and fork. He looked at Alden with a question mark like Steve.

"Whatchu mean? Go where?" search Zoe.

"Miss, did Valen say anything to you?" Alden looked at Zoe expectantly.

"No.Valen didn't say anything" Zoe replied casually.

Dashed Alden's hopes. He doesn't get any more information. Even a classmate like Zoe doesn't know Valen's whereabouts.

Steve suddenly stood up. He picked up his cell phone and immediately stepped away from the dining table. Yeah, right now Steve wants to help Alden solve his problem. He was so sad to see Alden who was like a person who had no spirit in life.

"Hello, good morning Bram." Greet Steve kindly.

"I can't talk right now, Steve."

"Lho, what's the problem?" Steve started fishing for Bram so he would tell him what he was doing now.

"My pregnant son is suddenly sick. So I have to see him first."

"What pain? Why do you sound so panicked?"

"Long if explained over the phone. Clearly, the lives of my daughter and her baby could be threatened."

Steve was struck by lightning on this sunny morning. What does it mean that Valen left because he was sick and didn't want Alden to find out?

"Hopefully your son will recover quickly" said Steve in a raucous voice.

"Thanks Steve." -."

Steve was holding on to the wall in shock with all this. Her tears had also come down without her noticing. Of course Steve thinks of Alden, aka his son. What would happen if something happened to Valen? How is Alden up to this?

Steve coded Zoe so she wouldn't freak out. Steve then asks Zoe to take him to the study.

Zoe painstakingly helped Steve sit in his office chair. He also did not forget to take water to drink, then give it to Steve who looks weak and sad.

"Is there any bad news, Dad?" ask Zoe curiously.

"It's about Alden" replied Steve weakly.

"Why Alden, Dad? Did he make a mistake?" "Or did Valen leave because he couldn't stand Alden?" Zoe started to tell me what was in her brain.

"Zoe don't talk carelessly." said Steve.

"Well, his name is Dad's life. Anything can happen." Zoe who was tired of standing, chose to sit in front of Steve.

"Aren't you panicking that your best friend is missing?" asked Steve in wonder. Usually Zoe is very excited if something happens with her social group.But Zoe is even ordinary when she hears Valen is missing.

Zoe rolled her eyes. He was shocked at what happened to Alden-Valen. But, on the one hand he was quite happy because if Alden separated from Valen, Zoe had a chance to approach Alden freely.

"Zoe, don't think about getting close to Alden." remember Steve. He slightly picked up the signal from Zoe who was slightly smiling. Steve knew his son was planning something.

"Why, Dad?" "Isn't Dad okay with having a daughter-in-law like Alden?"

"Zoe.. Don't-don't.."

"Yes, I like Alden, Dad" Zoe said before her father finished his sentence.

"Zoe!" Steve stood up and kicked the table.

"Dad, why is Dad like this?" Zoe was in shock at Steve who kicked the table so hard. His entire life, Steve had never snapped so loudly like this time.

"Zoe, just Dad want you to throw that feeling at Alden."

"No. Zoe will stay close to Alden."

Steve held onto his chest which felt tight. Her health declined due to last night's show. He was exhausted and this morning had to face Valen's news and Zoe's behavior. Steve can't keep all these secrets alone. Steve should be able to tell Zoe before she also gets sick.

"Zo, there's something Dad wants to talk to you about Alden."
