Prince Sedo ing Rejek

According to Yai Murod, there is a story that informs that one of Haji Abdullah's ancestors was named Prince Sedo ing Rejek. The Prince was none other than the ruler of Palembang around 1652-1659.

At the time of Prince Sedo ing Rejek there was a war with the Dutch side that caused the old Palembang City to be destroyed.

This war began around 1647, where the ruler of the Kingdom of Palembang Prince Sedo ing Rejek decided to refuse to continue pepper trade cooperation with the VOC.

The refusal of the ruler of Palembang caused the VOC (the Dutch trading company) in Batavia to suffer heavy losses. And the Dutch then invaded Palembang.

After the destruction of old Palembang which was then called Kuto Gawang, Prince Sedo ing Rejek with his followers resigned to the hinterland.

They then settled in the Ogan Ilir region for generations and became locals.

From the descendants of Prince Sedo ing Rejek this is the origin of the Grand Family of Haji Abdullah, as spoken by Yai Murod to his relatives who had the opportunity to attend at that time.

"Yes... What about Prince Sedo ing Rejek?" tanya Ustadz Hanafi.

"If according to the data of the sultanate, the father of Prince Seda ing Rejek named Prince Seda ing Pasarean. While Prince Pasarean's father named Prince Manconegoro who came from the land of Java" replied Yai Murod while staring at Ustadz Hanafi.

"Prince Manconegoro married the daughter of King Palembang named Nyai Gede Pembayun son of Ki Gede ing Suro Mudo" said Yai Murod continued.

"The father of Prince Manconegoro according to records is Prince Adipati Sumedang or Maulana Abdullah, who is the son of Prince Wirakusuma Cirebon" said Yai Murod in more detail.

"And Prince Wirakusuma Cirebon comes from the family of one of the songo guardian members, Maulana Muhammad Ainul Yaqin Sunan Giri" Yai Murod said at length.

"So Prince Sedo ing Rejek descendant of the great family of Giri Kedaton?" tanya Ustadz Hanafi gave a firmness.

"Yes if according to the sultanate data it is so" replied Yai Murod briefly.

"There are also other versions that say they come from the Sultanate of Demak, the Sultanate of Cirebon and the Majapahit Kingdom, but the most powerful is the data stating that it comes from the Giri family of Kedaton" Yai Murod added.

"Yai... if the lineage of Sunan Giri himself how?" tanya Ustadz Hanafi wanted to know.

"Related to the genealogy of Sunan Giri there are two opinions, some say coming from the family of azmatkhan al husaini, while other opinions say coming from the family al qadiri al hasani" yai Murod replied as he opened the records he had.

"If the version that says it comes from the family of azmatkhan, it starts from Amir Abdullah Azmatan bin Sheikh Abdul Malik al Muhajir who lives in the land of India" Yai Murod explained.

"Shaikh Abdul Malik al Muhajir is from Hadramaut Yemen, he is the son of Sayyid Alawi Ammil Faqih bin Sayyid Muhammad Shohib Mirbath, whose lineage continues to connect up to Sayyid Ahmad al Muhajir" yai Murod tried to decipher the genealogy he read.

"Sayyid Ahmad al Muhajir is the 9th generation of Prophet Muhammad, he migrated to Hadramaut to seek a better life" said Yai Murod continued.

"While the other version, Sunan Giri is a descendant of Sheikh Abdul Qadir al Jailani. Where the father of Sunan Giri was named Sheikh Yaqub Prince Wali Lanang bin Sheikh Ibrahim Maulana Abu Ishaq bin Shaykh Junaid bin Sheikh Abdul Qadir bin Shaykh Shu'aib bin Sheikh Abdul Jabbar bin Sheikh Abdul Jabbar bin Sheikh Abdul Rozaq bin Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Shaykh Sholeh bin Sheikh Abdul Qadir al Jailani" said Yai Murod.

"Where Sheikh Abdul Qadir al Jailani, is a descendant of Sharif Abdullah al Kamil bin Sharif Hasan al Mutsanna bin Sayyidina Hasan as-sibthi" Yai Murod continued.

"And as we know, Sayyidina Hasan was the son of Sayyidina Ali ibn Abi Talib, while Sayyidina Hasan's mother was Sayyidatuna Fatimah az Zahra ibn Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wassalam" urai Yai Murod ended the genealogical reading he recorded.

Those present at the meeting could only listen carefully, some recorded Yai Murod's remarks with their phones.

Ustadz Hanafi himself can only reflect, it turns out there is a story that states his extended family comes from the descendants of fighters and alim ulama.

Can he later be able to follow the attitudes, actions and examples of his ancestors? Ustadz Hanafi was full of worries.
