The maritime potential in Indonesia is very large, this is because 2/3 of Indonesia is an ocean area. This has made Indonesia the largest island nation in the world.

With such a large sea area consisting of 3.1 million km2 of archipelago waters coupled with the area of Exclusive Economic Zone covering an area of 2.7 million km2, the total area of Indonesian waters reaches about 5.8 km2.

Imdonesia also has a coastline of approximately 81,000 km, and there are 17,508 islands.

The potential of marine fisheries resources is very large and spread in 11 fisheries management areas, with the potential for sustainable utilization reaching 9.93 million tons per year.

On several occasions, efforts to develop this marine potential were discussed by Putri Dayang Mariam with Ustadz Hanafi. And Ustadz Hanafi's response was very positive, and he was ready to help if at all times necessary.

Putri Dayang Mariam is seriously reviewing the potential of this Indonesian maritime.

Putri Dayang Mariam hopes that her efforts can generate abundant profits while also opening opportunities for her to be closer to Ustadz Hanafi.

The Help of the Dhuafa

As discussed earlier, Putri Dayang Mariam is the eldest child of Mr. Pangiran Abdul Jalil, one of the 5 richest businessmen in the Asian continent.

After completing her education, Putri Dayang Mariam gained the trust to manage several companies owned by her family.

For Putri Dayang Mariam, Indonesia is part of her. This is because, his mother named Putri Dayang Pomegranate comes from a noble family in Ternate Maluku.

It has been many times Princess Dayang Mariam invited her mother to visit Ternate. There they have a Social Foundation named Princess Mariam Charitable Foundation and move to help the lives of the dhuafa.

The Princess Mariam Charitable Foundation also prepares student duties for the sons of the chosen daughter of the Ternate Society who will continue their studies abroad.

Through its Charity Foundation, Putri Dayang Mariam also provides assistance with modern fishing equipment. Assistance was given to several fishing groups living on the coastal islands of Maluku.

Putri Dayang Mariam aspires to build a Maritime Industry Center in Ternate. His desire is being prepared with his team and the plan will also involve Ustadz Hanafi.

For Putri Dayang Mariam, giving someone a job opportunity is much better than just giving basic food.

This is based on the teachings taught by the Prophet. As in the following story.

One day someone came to ask the Prophet. Seeing the presence of the beggar, the Prophet asked, "Do you have anything in your house?"

The man replied, "I have a regular daily wear and a cup."

Then the Prophet said, "Take it and leave it to me"

The beggar rushed home and returned with a cup.

The Prophet offered the cup to his companions, and one of his companions bought it for two dirhams.

The Prophet then gave the two dirhams to the man. The Prophet expected the money to be used to buy food for his family, and the rest to be used to buy axes.

The Prophet said, "catch a lot of wood with that axe and sell it, for two weeks I don't want to see you."

After two weeks, the man came back to the Prophet, but not to beg.

He came with 10 dirhams of money from selling wood. The Prophet then told him to buy clothes and food for his family. 

The Prophet then said, "This is better for you, for begging will only make a stain on your face in the hereafter."

"It is not worth asking except in three things, the poor who have nothing, the debt that cannot be paid, and the disease that makes one unable to try."

This story inspired Princess Dayang Mariam, to always try to help the lives of the dhuafa.

Even in the Qur'an, giving up wealth for good is a characteristic of the pious as HIS word says.

"And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a heaven as wide as the heavens and the earth prepared for those who fear."

“(i.e.) those who forgive (her heart), both in the free time and in the narrow, and those who hold back their anger and forgive (errors) people. Allah loves those who do good.”

(QS Ali Imran verses 133-134).
