"Allahu Akbar's... Allahu Akbar"

"Allahu Akbar's... Allahu Akbar"

Adhan's voice echoed, as a sign of the end of the subjects that afternoon.

Seen the santri men, began to fill the ablution place in the courtyard of the mosque, to get ready to perform prayer dzuhur congregation.

A young, black-clad man in long-sleeved white clothes was walking towards a room next to the mosque.

In the room, there is a special ablution place for ustadz who become teachers at the Pesantren Cottage.

This young ustadz figure is the central character in this novel. His name was Ustadz Hanafi, but most of the santri called him Gus Nafi.

Ustadz Hanafi aka Gus Nafi

Gus Nafi is the grandson of the owner of Pondok Pesantren Al Mansyur, he is still very young at around 25 years old.

Among the students and pesantren, Ustadz Hanafi is known to have many achievements. His last achievement was a chess champion between East Java provincial boarding schools, in order to commemorate 100 years of Indonesian independence.

Ustadz Hanafi has the full name Hanafi Covidra. According to his father, the name Covidra was taken from the word "Covid", a type of virus that broke out in 2020, when Ustadz Hanafi was born.

Because it was named "Covidra", when Ustadz Hanafi Elementary School was often bullied, his friends mocked it with the call "virus".

Once upon a time, because he could not stand it, Hanafi when he was a child cried while screaming. Hanafi asked his father to change his name.

But the Father, instead said precisely by the name of covidra, he will be easier to know and remember. It is like a product branding that does not need much promotion anymore.

The father of Ustadz Hanafi named Mr. Malik Abdullah, he is known as a businessman and very prioritizing branding in business.

Mr. Malik Abdullah is the owner of Musi Corporation, a network of companies engaged in agriculture, plantation, education, mining and telecommunications.

In 2045, Musi Corporation is the largest corporate network in Indonesia with assets reaching billions of dollars, and has branches spread in 35 countries.

The name Musi Corporation takes the name of a river in Palembang City where his father was born. Musi Corporation was founded about 2 months after Ustadz Hanafi was born.

The mother of Ustadz Hanafi was named Mother Aisyah Ismail, daughter of Kiai Ismail Mustafa, owner of Pesantren Al Mansyur. His mother worked as a lecturer in a college in Jakarta.

The meeting between the two parents of Ustadz Hanafi, took place when the two became students. His father was a UNSRI student located in Indralaya about 32 km from Palembang City, while his mother was UIN student Raden Fatah in Palembang City.

Both of Ustadz Hanafi's parents are known to be active in the campus da'wah institution, and they began to know each other when there are proselytizing activities between campuses.

From their second marriage they were blessed with 3 boys, the eldest was named Idris, then the middle was named Moses and Ustadz Hanafi was the youngest child.

Both of Ustadz Hanafi's brothers, Idris and Musa trusted his father to manage the Musi Corporation. And it is expected that both will continue the business that his father has pioneered.

Back to the atmosphere of Pesantren Al Mansyur that afternoon. Seemed a santri tergopoh-gopoh approached Ustadz Hanafi after praying Dzuhur congregated.

"Gus Nafi" Si Santri said after being near Ustadz Hanafi.

Hearing his name being called, Ustadz Hanafi turned his head towards the voice that called out to him.

"In the teacher's room, there are guests from Jakarta" said Santri politely.

"guest from jakarta.." murmured Gus Nafi.

"who...?!" he thought, maybe both parents? Wasn't it just 2 months ago, his parents visited Pesantren?

Gus Nafi rushed towards the teacher's room, from behind Si Santri accompanied.

"Who is coming, male or female?" gus Nafi asked as he walked.

"Male, gus.." replied Si Santri briefly.

From a distance seen a luxury car in the parking lot in the courtyard of the boarding school. The car owner is at least a CEO in a large company, it is seen from the value of cars that reach billions of rupiah.

"Oohs.. Mang Cik's... Assalamu 'alaikum" said Ustadz Hanafi after recognizing the person who came.

Soon Ustadz Hanafi kissed his guest's hand with respect.

"heii dik..wait a minute" suddenly Ustadz Hanafi's guest shouted. He called out to the santri who was accompanying Ustadz Hanafi, who seemed to have walked out of the master room.

The Santri stopped shortly after hearing the call. It appears that guest Gus Nafi took out a card that he attached to Si Santri's electronic wallet while pressing a few buttons.

"Make him a snack" said the guest as he reentered the teacher's room.

At that time, the wallet was electronic. And to fill it is simply affixed with a savings card, after connecting just pressed a few number buttons that appear in the wallet.

"Mang ms.... How are you?" asked Ustadz Hanafi to his guest.

The guest who was called "the uncle" was none other than Ustadz Hanafi's uncle named Rashid Abdullah.

Ustadz Hanafi had 3 uncles, the oldest after his father named Mahmud Abdullah was called "Mang Cak", then followed by Rashid Abdullah who was called "mang cik" and the last Muhammad Abdullah who was called "mang uju's".

This call of mang cak, mang cik and mang uju is a culture from Palembang Malay, which is the origin of the family of Hanafi Ustadz father.

"Alhadulillah.is healthy" said Mang Cik Rashid with a smile.

"So he wanted to meet Kiai Ismail, but said his staff were in Sulawesi" said his uncle again.

"So. infaq for Pesantren, mang cik pay in the charity wallet near the gate" said Mang Cik Rashid continued.

A charity wallet is an electronic wallet owned by a foundation or educational institution. Usually this charity wallet is placed near the gate, so anyone who intends to make a donation just stick their savings card there.

"Just like a mang cik" said Ustadz Hanafi

"Later let me tell Mbah Ismail" said Ustadz Hanafi again.

Then this uncle and nephew told each other the circumstances. From the story of his uncle, Ustadz Hanafi got information Musi Corporation got the government's trust to cultivate land that is still abandoned. It is estimated that the land area reaches 700 thousand hectares.

The plan for land management will be coordinated by Abang Idris, the eldest brother of Ustadz Hanafi. The land itself is spread across 3 islands namely Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

Mang cik Rashid himself at Musi Corporation served as the head of the Mining business division. Most of the mining land managed by Musi Coprporation is located abroad such as Qatar, China, Canada and the African Continent.

After a long conversation, Mang Cik Rashid asked Ustadz Hanafi to accompany him to the Pesantren Mosque. There the Uncle as a traveler, performed the Jamak Qashar Prayer, which summarizes the Dzuhur Prayer and Asar Prayer at one time.
