Towards True Love 2

Towards True Love 2
Meet the Ex

Rio accompanied me until the shop closed. Thank God, today's turnover is much increased than yesterday. It was also thanks to Rio, the creative husband with all his brilliant ideas who always helped me.

It's not wrong to accept him as my husband. It's just, I haven't noticed. My mind is still locked and cannot accept my destiny clearly.

Arriving home, with the remaining energy, I continued to do my duty as a wife. Preparing warm water for my husband to take a bath, preparing a change of clothes for him. And after that, I cooked dinner for my husband and father-in-law.

In this mansion did have a cook. But I don't want to rely on it immediately. Mama once said to me, "Wife must not only be good at pleasing the husband, but the wife must also be good at filling the husband's stomach." So said mama who always ring in my memory after becoming Rio's wife.

"I'm gonna take a shower first. You and your father don't have to wait for me. You eat first" I said to my husband when I got to my room.

I've been cooking. With a sweaty body and covered in heat due to too long faced with the stove and steam, I decided to take a shower immediately.

There's no way I'm sitting at the dinner table in sweaty clothes. Especially sitting with my father-in-law. It could be that their appetite is lost instantly due to the smell of my body that stings their noses.

"Lho, you haven't eaten yet?" I asked when I found Rio carrying two plates of food using a tray into the room.

"I ate a little bit earlier for my father. Now, I'm replacing the nemenin you eat. Not good, is it, eating alone?" reply while putting the tray on the sofa.

I also approached, my stomach was already hungry and wanted to be filled immediately.

"Then you're here and cooking, I've noticed you're eating more than ever. Looks like you like the same taste of your cooking." Rio praised my cooking in the middle of us eating food on our plates.

"From my sight, it's like your weight is also up. Your stomach is a little bloated." I didn't expect that my words caused a panic for Rio.

Evidently my husband immediately left his food and sauntered into the mirror. While continuing to eat the rice, I watched Rio who was gripping in front of the mirror.

"You're right, my stomach is a little distended. But, my face remains handsome," he said with confidence.

"God does not like people who are proud. Especially to the point of bragging," I said.

"Astaghfirullah's. Abi was just kidding, Mi. But, abi's a good-looking man, isn't he, Mi?" rio asked as he turned his body and walked up to me.

"Hmm." I don't want to answer yes because surely Rio will think I'm fascinated by her good looks. But if I answer no, it means I reproach God's creation. So I'd better be in my heart to be safer.

"Thank you, you've helped a lot. Giving a role in the pioneering of my efforts. Thanks to the brochure you spread out, my clothing store became crowded. Even today the turnover increased sharply from the previous day." I said after I ate my dinner.

"It's my duty, you don't have to hesitate. I pray your clothing store grows and achieves success. Aamiin," he said with a thread of prayer.

After spending the one hour that Rio gave me to read the book, I placed the book I had read on the shelf. Then make the bed and immediately lay down my tired body.

But, wait. Why didn't my husband come after me and sleep in his place?

"Rio," called me to my husband who was still facing the textbook. Yeah, he's learning.

"Alem, Honey." The typical answer of the Javanese when called out came out of his mouth carrying the gentle voice of the man touching my ears.

"It's night, sleep," I said, reminding him not to sleep late.

"Lho, where are you going?" I asked when Rio instead of laying his body beside me but just took a pillow and stepped away.

"My place is here" he replied after standing in front of the sofa where he used to spend the night.

"But, your back hasn't healed properly. You can still sleep here." I patted the bed with me yesterday.

"I've been feeling better, honey. I can go back to sleep here" she replied with a smile.

"Yes, it's up to you. If your back hurts tomorrow, don't blame me. I'm not going to help you compress your back either" I said tightly.

"OK-okay, I get it. My wife is very attentive."

Rio finally returned to the bed and slept beside me. I was relieved that I didn't have to bother persuading him.

Today I keep the shop alone. No one has come to register as an employee at my shop. I had an advertisement placed on the door.

Half a day from when I opened the store, only five visitors came shopping. I can relax a little today. At least I can take the time to do sunah prayers in between guarding the store.

A man in yellow, high stature as my husband came with greetings.

"Assalamualaikum," he said as soon as the door was opened.

A voice I knew so well. The face I always miss. Now near me, he's coming. My heart rumbles, my heart warms. Eve was not clearly attacking my body at this time.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," I answered while regulating my heartbeat is difficult to normalize.

"You? What are you, Arindy?" I asked after hearing my voice.

He couldn't recognize me right away. Because some of this face has been covered with a veil. It's only natural that he thought of me as someone else. But this voice, in fact, she could recognize me right away just from hearing her greeting answer.
