Three Character Girl
Juggler

It turned out to be a recipe tear, containing digitalin. The insertion of the paper into his pocket, with the intention of returning it to Mrs Clapperton later.

"Indeed," continued the old man,

"poisoned woman. I remember a woman like her in Poona. It was '87."

"So, did anyone touch him?" Commissioner Saga asked.

The old man nodded sadly.

"A woman like that kills her husband slowly. Clapperton actually had to defend his rights. He was too willing to obey his wife."

"The woman is in control of the finances" Commissioner Saga said seriously.

"Huh.huh..huh!" the old man was angry.

"You express this problem in the shortest words. Take financial control. H. ha. ha.. ha...!" Two girls entered the smoking room. The one with a round and mottled face.

His dark hair poked out uncharacteristically due to the gust of wind. The others had freckled faces and their curly hair was reddish-brown.

"Saving - rescue!" exclaim Kitty Mooney.

"Me and Pam will save Colonel Clapperton."

"From the clutches of his wife" Pamela Cregan continued gasping.

"We thought he was a pet..."

"And the woman is terrible - she will not let her husband do anything" the two girls exclaimed.

"If he is not with his wife, he is usually taken by the Henderson woman..."

"That's really fun, but it's so old..." The two ran outside, panting between their laughter. "Saving - Rescue..."

That the effort to save Colonel Clapperton was not a joke but a definite plan, proved that afternoon when eighteen-year-old Pam Cregan approached Commissioner Saga and whispered,

"Look at us, M. Commissioner Saga. Colonel Clapperton we're gonna pull in front of his wife's nose and we're taking a walk on the deck of the ship under the moonlight."

Just at that time Colonel Clapperton said,

"Rolls-Royce is expensive, but the car is practically wearable for life. Now my car - "

"My car, John," Mrs Clapperton's voice sounded loud and sharp. Clapperton showed no annoyance at his wife's irreverence. It could be that he is used to that attitude or there are other reasons

"Is there another reason?" Commissioner Saga thought and began to second-guess.

"Of course, my dear, your car," Clapperton bowed to his wife and finished his sentence with perfect composure.

"The coil? ce qu'on appelle le pukka sahib," thought Commissioner Saga.

"But General Forbes said Clapperton was not a gentleman at all. Rani is wondering now."

Someone proposed playing bridge. Mrs Clapperton, General Forbes, and a pair of sharp-eyed men sat down to play. Miss Henderson has excused herself and is out on the deck.

"What about your husband?" ask the doubting General Forbes.

"John doesn't want to play bridge" Mrs Clapperton said.

"It's so annoying." The four bridge players started shuffling the cards. Pam and Kitty go up to Colonel Clapperton. Each one has one arm.

"You're coming with us" said Pam,

"To deck. There we can see the full moon."

"Don't be a moron, John," Mrs Clapperton rebuked.

"Not with us" Kitty said.

"We're warm!" The colonel passed by with them laughing.

Commissioner Saga saw that Mrs Clapperton said 'No offer' when she first got the chance to bid. Commissioner Saga is out, to the place of a walk on the deck.

Miss Henderson stood by the iron fence, looking around expectantly. At the time approaching to watch her, Commissioner Saga saw a look of disappointment on the woman's face. They chatted for a while. When finally Commissioner Saga was silent, Miss Henderson asked,

"What do you think?" "I question my knowledge of English. Clapperton said, 'John doesn't want to play bridge.' Isn't 'can't play' a commonly used term?"

"She felt humiliated because her husband couldn't play, I guess," Miss Henderson said dryly.

"Foolish man, would marry such a woman." In the darkness Commissioner Saga smiled. "You don't think it's possible that marriage is happy?" tanyanya.

"With a woman like that?" Commissioner Saga shrugged.

"Many women are annoying to have a faithful husband. It's one of nature's puzzles. You must admit that none of what his wife said or did seemed to hurt him."

Miss Henderson was thinking about her answer when she heard Mrs Clapperton's voice coming from the smoking room window.

"No - I don't want to play one more time. It's so tight. I want to go up and breathe the air on the deck."

"Good night" said Miss Henderson

"I want to sleep."

In a hurry he disappeared. Commissioner Saga walked into the sitting room - which was only worn by the Colonel and the two girls. The Colonel was showing off a trick with cards to his two friends. Seeing the Colonel's skill in shuffling and holding the cards, Commissioner Saga recalled General Forbes' story of the Colonel's career on the stage of the art building.

"I see you like cards even if you don't play bridge," Commissioner Saga opened his voice.

"I have reason not to play bridge" Clapperton said, showing off his charming smile.

"I'll show you. We're gonna play a round." Quickly split the cards. "Take your cards. How's it?"

He laughed at the confusion on Kitty's face. Placed cards. Others do so too. Kitty's holding the whole claver. M. Commissioner Saga heart-pictured cards, Pam Wajik, and Colonel Clapperton own spades. "You see?" said.

"A man who can split any card to his partner and enemies should not play. If you keep winning, unpleasant things can happen."

"Oh!" exclaiming Kitty gasping.

"How can you do this" Things seem mediocre."

"The speed of the hand deceives the eye" Commissioner Saga said meaningfully - and he caught the sudden change in the Colonel's facial expression. It was as if the Colonel had realized for a moment that he had gone out of control. Commissioner Saga smiled. During this time the magician was performing with a mask of sahib pukka.

The next morning the ship arrived in Alexandria. When Commissioner Saga finished breakfast, he saw the two girls ready to go down to the beach. They spoke to Colonel Clapperton.

"We have to leave now" Kitty urged.

"People who check passports will leave the ship immediately. You're down with us, right" you're not gonna let us go to the beach alone" There might be something bad going on with us."

"Of course I don't agree if you go alone" Clapperton said with a smile.

"But my wife doesn't necessarily want to come along."

"It's a shame" Pam said.

"But can't it be a nice long break?" Colonel Clapperton seemed rather indecisive - obviously his desire to go for a walk was very strong. He saw Commissioner Saga.

"Hello, Commissioner Saga - do you want to go down to the beach?"

"No," replied Commissioner Saga.
