The Third Party
39. Giving and Taking

"If the house is the problem, I will return it. I'm going home to get the certificate. Excuse me!"

My chest feels so tight. I can't stand being cornered like this. My intention to defend the house for Damar changed. I'll give you back that house. Now or later, the house will remain a source of trouble for us. I stepped my feet without paying any attention to them again.

When I got home I couldn't hold back my tears. Does this have to be the fate I live? Just about to feel happiness, I've been tested again. Those people, they really have no heart. I really don't understand how can there be such a petty person?

Soon I wipe my tears. I don't have time to cry right now. I took the house letter and then I went back to the hospital. I don't want to linger anymore dealing with these people. Maybe this is God's plan, taking Handi so I can get away from them, from this toxic family.

I went straight into the room where my in-laws were in care without knocking on the door. Heni and Hasan were with their mother.

"This is his home certificate, please save it!" I gave the certificate of the house to Mas Hasan who stood closest to me. "I'm asking until tomorrow afternoon to vacate the house because I have to pack my things first" I said coldly.

I looked at my father-in-law who was lying down and pretending to be weak in front of her children. There was no more respect or disdain for him. Even now my hatred for my in-laws is beyond her hatred for me all this time. I hated her so much that I wished I would never see her again, ever.

"If there's nothing to talk about anymore, excuse me!" I too am about to step away.

"Wait!" My in-laws detained me. I stopped too. But I don't expect anything good to happen.

"Where's money? This is just his home certificate?!"

Ah, of course he remembered. This sick old woman will not forget money.

"Both the house and the money belong to Damar. I was kind enough to let go of the house. But the matter of money, it would still belong to Damar!"

"No way, give me the money. Let me keep it. Damar can ask me later if he needs it." My in-laws don't accept.

"No!" firmly answer.

"No ... It can't be like that" said my in-laws, holding his chest in pain.

Suddenly Mas Hasan pulled my hand and took me out.

"You just give me the money. I'll change it!" said furious.

"Then just hand over the change money to mom? What difference?!"

"Emma please cooperate. Mom is sick. Don't you have pity? Give the money to mom, I'll replace it with the same amount!" Mas Hasan tried to convince me. Even though his tone had been smoothed, I was sure he was still angry with me.

"Am I not sorry?!" I repeated Mas Hasan's question. "Didn't you guys feel sorry for driving me and Damar away?!" ketus balaku.

After that he and Heni cornered and blamed me, now he's asking me to do this drama for his mother? Don't hope! Wants him sick, wants him dying, wants a stroke even if I don't care. If they only think about their own interests then I will also think about my own interests.

I went back into my in-laws' room after Mas Hasan who followed behind me. Undeniably, the look in his eyes showed him very red at me for not wanting to obey his words earlier.

"I have to go home now. I have to start packing my things" I said.

"It's okay, ma'am, the money's been deposited on me." Hasan calmed her mother by pretending I gave her the money.

I was standing right in front of the place in front of my in-laws lying down. I stared intently at the people who had hurt my feelings.

"I realized from the beginning you never considered me part of this family. And the more here I also realized that it turns out that Damar who still has blood relations with you is also meaningless. So from now on I consider you a nobody to me and Damar. This family relationship was cut off until here! One more thing ... I hope you all won't regret what you've done to us."

When I finished talking, I put my feet away. Unlike my mixed feelings, they look ordinary. My farewell words are meaningless. There was no look of sadness in their eyes, which was precisely the satisfaction of feeling that they had managed to seize everything.

Back home, I put Damar to bed, then I packed my things. I don't know why these tears keep flowing without me being able to stand. I tried to accept it but it was hard. I had to leave the house that was supposed to belong to my son because of their greed.

*

While carrying Damar, I rode my motorcycle towards my in-laws house. I'll hand over the house keys, but of course I have other purposes.

Behind me is a pickup truck that faithfully follows wherever I ride my motorcycle. The car was transporting my not-so-much stuff. But I'm sure it will increase after I get to my in-laws' house later.

At my in-laws' house I asked the pickup driver and a friend to wait outside.

I knocked on the door and soon Heni opened it.

"What else do you want?"

"Have you come home from the hospital?"

"Why look for mom? You said we're nobody anymore?!" heni Syndicate. Maybe he thinks I came to beg them for something.

"I came to give you the keys to the house. Your mother had told me you wanted to get there soon."

"It's good that you're conscious!"

"I thought you were going to stay in the palace considering you were married to a rich man, it turned out that he lived in a tenement as well. Results snatch anyway!" I insinuated it.

"Give me the keys and get out of here!" Heni looked furious.

"I have to hand it over directly to your mother because there's something I have to tell her."

Then Heni slightly moved aside so that I could enter the house. I rushed in to see my father-in-law.

It turned out that my in-laws were sitting quietly in the living room, with their new mother-in-law Heni. She looks fine. It does not appear that he was discharged in hospital. My in-laws looked surprised to see me.

"I came to give you the keys to the house" I said without waiting for him to ask. "Because mom has taken the house that I consider as the right of mother, then I will also take the things that I consider my right!"

Yeah, I'll take everything in my room. Everything I buy uses my money and Handi.
