The Substitute

The Substitute
Paying for the past

Ameera was busy with her laptop, since a few days she was busy with preparations for Dina's wedding.

Rangga saw Ameera had sat for hours in a room glaring at her laptop. His soul also appeared. He then settles like a thief approaching Ameera.

Rangga stood right behind Ameera and looked at what was on the laptop screen.

"What are you doing?" asked Rangga, making Ameera jump in shock.

"Audzu billahi minasy syaithoni rojim." said Ameera, wiping her chest.

"You think I'm a demon?" Rangga immediately sat beside Ameera and returned his gaze on the laptop.

"You surprised me. I was busy." he said without looking at Rangga.

"That's what?" Rangga pointed at Ameera's laptop with her eye tail.

"This is the cover for the wedding of Dina and Brother Ramon...!" ameera replied excitedly, "How is it? Nice, right?" ask with a smile.

"D and D?" Rangga furrowed his brows looking at the design made by Ameera.

"Yes..."

"Why D and D? D and R?"

Ameera sighed, then shook her hand until her hand hit Rangga's face. Rangga was again upset because Ameera seemed to really do it on purpose.

"That was the initials of Dina and Brother Ramon. You forget, the long name of Brother Ramon, Dzaki Mirza Raymond." said Ameera with a pressing tone.

"Why not just D and R?" ask Rangga.

If D and R, there might be a miracle of the world and make it Dina and Rangga. Not Dina and Ramon. Oh my God, what I think. Why did I go crazy like this. Inner Rangga.

"I want D and D. It's up to me" Ameera glanced at Rangga at a glance with her eye tail, then stuck out her tongue and made her eyes squint, something she often did when they were in school.

"Had not been so, ugly knows," snapped Rangga. He then went to the family room and chose to play with Erzan and Elmira.

"Hahaha, why am I so happy to make her angry," Ameera muttered as she chuckled.

****

"This is a kid why haven't you slept? It was already night.." asked Rangga when he approached the two nephews.

"Can play again" replied Erzan.

"Om Rangga, when do we go to the safari park. Om Rangga promised to take us to the safari park, El want to see tyrex up close," asked Elmira.

"There's tyrex today, Elmira. Tyrex is extinct,"

"But just saw on tv there's a tyrex?"

"Hadehh, that's discovery channel, tyrex is not in the safari park. The elephant is like a tiger,"

"Yes, have seen the same tiger as the crocodile,"

"El not afraid? That's serem loh..."

"Om Rangga is more serem, hehehe" Elmira said with a chuckle.

This same kid his mom's just as hot. Who is patient, why the hell everyone lately likes to make upset.

"Not El same Er want to go to Disney Land with mom's dad, same opa oma, same grandpa too, right?"

"And it's still a long time, Om... I haven't had a day off..."

"Yes, just wait... "

Not long after, Ozan had just arrived home. These few days he was so busy with work piling up that he had to overtime every night. The two boys ran to welcome their father.

"Dad's kids why haven't they slept? El sam Er wants to go to school tomorrow." asked Ozan.

"Let's play, Dad." replied Elmira.

Ozan then moved to the family room where Rangga was, holding his two children.

"That's the face why, very gloomy," asked Ozan when he saw Rangga whose face was like a cloud cloud overcast.

"Don't start, Bang! You know why..."

"Hahaha, I'm heartbroken, "Don't accept Ozan's words, Rangga threw his brother with a chair pad, making Ozan laugh out loud.

"El want, Daddy's in the gorok with mom if the secret is leaked?" ozan whispered in Elmira's ear.

Rangga was confused by the strange behavior of the father and son.

"Udah... Wanna sleep..." Rangga passed away leaving Ozan and Elmira who were involved in a neighboring whisper drama.

After that, Ozan immediately approached Ameera who was still busy designing the invitation.

"Yank... What again?"

"Eh, Mas. just got home... Overtime again, huh?"

"Yes, I'm after the show..." Ozan then sat down beside Ameera and leaned his head against her pot. Ameera stroked her face gently.

"Have you eaten yet, my dear?"

"It's been... Had a meal with Ramon,"

"oh..."

"Yank... You've been busy lately forgetting me. I felt like a husband who had been abandoned by his wife" The man's tone sounded so heartbreaking that Ameera chuckled.

"Since when have I abandoned my husband?"

"Well, now what? I'm rarely in the door right now..." Ozan also returned to issue his death seduction style.

"You are, Mas. in his mind so it goes on..."

"So how? You're the same with me, Yank... "

"Alright, but I'll finish this first, yeah... "

Ozan corrected his seat, then whispered, "Your secret is almost leaked, yank..."

"What?" Ameera jumped at Ozan's words.

"Yes, Elmira almost leaked it, fortunately I quickly heard," Ameera sighed in relief, it could be dangerous if the secret leaked.

The waiting day was getting closer, it did not feel like a few more weeks Dina would let go of her stint.

A smile never leaves her pretty face. That day, Dina was in a boutique for wedding dress fittings that she would use on her happy day.

The girl stood in front of a large mirror, looking at her dress with admiration.

"Sister, how? Do I look pretty?" dina asked Ramon while showing her a bone-white dress attached to her body.

"You will be the most beautiful bride in the world" Ramon replied, making Dina blush in shame.

"Thank you, yeah... Brother Ramon has been with me for four years,"

Ramon grabbed Dina's hand and held it, "You deserve to be happy. Now there will be no more Dina who is always moody."

"All thanks to Brother Ramon,"

"Hehe, I can't wait for that day" Ramon said with sparkling eyes.

"Me too,"

If Dina is happy with her activities with Ramon, then another case with Rangga.

That day he accompanied Hendri to visit the tombs of Rudi and Ratna. Carrying two bouquets of Ratna's favorite white roses, Hendri approached two adjoining tombs.

He then squatted down on the side of the tomb. Her tears fell, remembering her past. His friendship with Rudi, which was established since childhood, had to end miserably because of Hendri's revenge ambition which eventually made him lose the most meaningful people in his life.

"Rudi, I'm sorry... I've caused you to leave so soon. Even so, you still take good care of Ameera. You took care of my son at the cost of your life. I will forever be in debt to you. Now, let me atone for all my sins by making Ameera happy."

Now I will continue what we once planned together. I'm going to make the most of the rest of my life by living your dream, which we're going to build together.
